A new and efficient intelligent collaboration scheme for fashion design

    Get PDF
Technology-mediated collaboration process has been extensively studied for over a decade. Most applications with collaboration concepts reported in the literature focus on enhancing efficiency and effectiveness of the decision-making processes in objective and well-structured workflows. However, relatively few previous studies have investigated the applications of collaboration schemes to problems with subjective and unstructured nature. In this paper, we explore a new intelligent collaboration scheme for fashion design which, by nature, relies heavily on human judgment and creativity. Techniques such as multicriteria decision making, fuzzy logic, and artificial neural network (ANN) models are employed. Industrial data sets are used for the analysis. Our experimental results suggest that the proposed scheme exhibits significant improvement over the traditional method in terms of the time–cost effectiveness, and a company interview with design professionals has confirmed its effectiveness and significance

    Light-cone Sum Rule Analysis of Semileptonic Decays Λb0Λc+ν\Lambda_b^0 \to \Lambda_c^+ \ell^- \overline{\nu}_\ell

In this work, we analyze the semileptonic decay processes of ΛbΛc\Lambda_b \to \Lambda_c in the light-cone sum rule approach. In the calculation of the form factors of Λb\Lambda_b baryon transition matrix element, the light-cone distribution amplitudes of Λb\Lambda_b which are obtained from QCD sum rule in the heavy quark effective field theory framework are used. With the calculation of the six form factors of ΛbΛc\Lambda_b \to \Lambda_c transition matrix element, the differential decay widths of Λb0Λc+ν(=e,μ,τ)\Lambda_b^0 \to \Lambda_c^+ \ell^- \overline{\nu}_\ell (\ell = e, \mu, \tau) and absolute branching fractions are obtained. Additionally the ratio of R(Λc)=Br(ΛbΛceνe)/Br(ΛbΛcτντ)R(\Lambda_c)=\mathcal{B}r(\Lambda_b\to \Lambda_c e \nu_e)/\mathcal{B}r(\Lambda_b \to \Lambda_c \tau \nu_\tau) is obtained. These results are in accordance with the newest experimental result and other theoretical calculations and predictions.Comment: 10 pages,6 figure

Miniaturization of Branch-Line Coupler Using Composite Right/Left-Handed Transmission Lines with Novel Meander-shaped-slots CSSRR

A novel compact-size branch-line coupler using composite right/left-handed transmission lines is proposed in this paper. In order to obtain miniaturization, composite right/left-handed transmission lines with novel complementary split single ring resonators which are realized by loading a pair of meander-shaped-slots in the split of the ring are designed. This novel coupler occupies only 22.8% of the area of the conventional approach at 0.7 GHz. The proposed coupler can be implemented by using the standard printed-circuit-board etching processes without any implementation of lumped elements and via-holes, making it very useful for wireless communication systems. The agreement between measured and stimulated results validates the feasible configuration of the proposed coupler

A Credit Rating Model in a Fuzzy Inference System Environment

One of the most important functions of an export credit agency (ECA) is to act as an intermediary between national governments and exporters. These organizations provide financing to reduce the political and commercial risks in international trade. The agents assess the buyers based on financial and non-financial indicators to determine whether it is advisable to grant them credit. Because many of these indicators are qualitative and inherently linguistically ambiguous, the agents must make decisions in uncertain environments. Therefore, to make the most accurate decision possible, they often utilize fuzzy inference systems. The purpose of this research was to design a credit rating model in an uncertain environment using the fuzzy inference system (FIS). In this research, we used suitable variables of agency ratings from previous studies and then screened them via the Delphi method. Finally, we created a credit rating model using these variables and FIS including related IF-THEN rules which can be applied in a practical setting
