The Sleeping Dragon
Import 02/11/2016Tato bakalářská práce zpracovává tématiku draků, jejich symboliku, výskyt v mýtech, legendách a význam v náboženství. Práce pojednává o dracích jako o tvorech vytvořených lidskou představivostí a zároveň se pokouší najít skutečné. Praktická část předložené práce popisuje postup výroby sošky Spícího draka. Zahrnuje návrh vlastního modelu, jeho přípravu a výrobu. Dále se zabývá výrobou sádro-antukových forem, vlastním litím metodou vytavitelného modelu a je zakončena apretací uměleckého odlitku.This thesis deals with the theme of dragons, their symbolism, their incidence in myths, legends and their meaning in Religion. Thesis discusses the dragons as creatures created by human imagination while trying to find the real ones. The practical part of the thesis describes the production of The Sleeping Dragon statue. It includes designing my own model, its preparation and production. When Designers are Non-designers: Open Endedness vs. Structure of Design Tools
In this paper, we explore types of toolsets that are suitable for design thinking processes, when design teams consist of non-designers. We have conducted a series of workshops to experiment with open-ended, semi-structured and structured tools, using design thinking for libraries as a research case. Our results clearly indicate that semi-structured tools fare best regarding variety of outputs, breadth of ideas and engagement of participants
