Assessment of Nutritional Value and Maillard Reaction in Different Gluten-Free Pasta
Evaluating the nutritional quality and thermal damage effects of gluten-free foods is
essential to ensure that people with gluten intolerance or celiac disease can safely meet their needs. In
this work, fifteen different commercial gluten-free pasta samples made from cereals, pseudocereals,
and pulses, alone or in mixed combinations, were analyzed to assess their nutritional value, essential
amino acids composition, and protein chemical score. The occurrence of the Maillard reaction was
investigated, and the levels of heat treatment markers (furosine, maltulose, hydroxymethylfurfural,
and glucosylisomaltol) were determined. Analysis of the furosine values showed that pasta made
with the same raw materials can have different degrees of thermal damage. There was no evidence of
the Maillard reaction progressing in the advanced phase in any of the samples tested. Finally, the
correlation between maltulose and furosine levels demonstrated the usefulness of combining the two
markers to assess the extent of thermal damag

Layered Micro-Wall Structures from the Gas Phase
The use of3-D LCVD with volumetric rate feedback was investigated in the fabrication
ofmicromechanical wall structures. These were constructed by recursive laser scanning and
resulted in layered wall composed ofrecursive line deposition.
Experiments were designed to uncover the relationship between scan rate, volumetric deposition
rate, pressure and laser powerfor pyrolytic graphite from an ethylene precursor. Results point to
a conduction dominated heat transfer which greatly limits the volumetric deposition rate at the
wall. This also results in a highly unstable deposition process, since volumetric deposition
increases by orders ofmagnitude as soon as rod growth is initiated.
An unexpected results ofthis work is the ability to grow rods at an angle to the laser axis, with
good control ofthe linear growth rate. This is achieved by adaptive laser scanning during rod

PERBANDINGAN RETINAL NERVE FIBER LAYER DAN GANGLION CELL LAYER THICKNESS PASIEN PASKA STROKE ISKEMIK PADA PENGUKURAN BASELINE DAN SETELAH 2 BULAN DI RSUP DR. M. DJAMIL PADANG
Pendahuluan : Penurunan visus dan defek lapang pandang merupakan komplikasi paska stroke iskemik yang sering terjadi namun sering terlewatkan. Komplikasi tersebut terjadi akibat kerusakan sel ganglion retina akibat iskemik di otak dan mengakibatkan transneuronal retrograde degeneration (TRD). Proses TRD dibuktikan dengan terdapatnya penipisan retinal nerve fiber layer (RNFL) dan ganglion cell layer (GCL) yang dinilai melalui pemeriksaan OCT.
Metode: Sebelas pasien paska stroke iskemik fase sub akut dilakukan pemeriksaan BCVA dan OCT pada baseline kemudian hasil dibandingkan dengan pemeriksaan kedua (2 bulan kemudian).
Hasil: Iskemik serebri ditemukan lebih banyak mengenai lebih 1 area di serebral. RNFL thickness setelah 2 bulan (85,55 ± 5,90 m) lebih tipis dibandingkan baseline (89,91 ± 5,65 m) terutama pada mata kiri. GCL thickness setelah 2 bulan lebih tipis (68,09±6,37 m) dibandingkan baseline (74,54±6,25m) terutama pada mata kiri. Rentang BCVA pada kedua mata adalah 0,40 – 1,00 (rerata 0,81±0,27) dan tidak ada perbedaan baseline dan setelah 2 bulan. Tidak ditemukan hubungan yang bermakna antara penipisan RNFL dan GCL thickness dengan BCVA pada kedua mata (p>0.05).
Kesimpulan: Pada penelitian ini, RNFL dan GCL thickness pasien paska stroke iskemik lebih tipis di pengukuran setelah 2 bulan, tetapi BCVA tidak mengalami perubahan, kemungkinan karena lesi iskemik tidak langsung berada di jalur visual, dan penipisan tersebut belum cukup untuk mengakibatkan terganggunya visus sentral, namun mungkin berdampak pada sensitifitas kontras dan lapang pandang.

Effect of Different Egg Products on Lipid Oxidation of Biscuits
Egg products are one of the main ingredients used in bakery industries, and they contain
cholesterol. Cholesterol su ers several chemical changes during the food processes, allowing some
potentially toxic compounds called cholesterol oxidized products (COPs). Thus, the aim of this work
was to study the evolution of lipid oxidation from eggs to egg products, and to evaluate the influence
of egg products on COPs formation in biscuits formulated with them. The results confirmed that
spray-drying technology improves the cholesterol oxidation 2.6 times compared to pasteurized eggs.
Biscuit samples showed a COPs content that is strictly related to the egg products used. Samples
formulated with spray-dried eggs noticed lower amounts of COPs compared to those formulated
with pasteurized eggs. It is important to stress that COPs composition was di erent between the two
samples, underlining that the kinetic of COPs formation is dependent on the type of egg products.Spanish Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness (MINECO)

Lipid Process Markers of Durum Wheat Debranning Fractions
At present, whole grains are usually obtained by adding bran and middlings to refined flours, and this recombination leads to certain variations in the ratio of endosperm, bran and germ, resulting in flours with very different compositional characteristics and rheological properties. Therefore, this study focuses on the identification of specific lipid markers in different debranning fractions of Italian and Canadian durum wheat blends. The by-products obtained from five different debranning levels (3, 6, 9, 12 and 15%) had a high content of monounsaturated fatty acids and a higher concentration of tocopherols and sterols than the corresponding debranned grains. The Italian and Canadian durum wheat samples did not show significant differences in the content of these bioactive lipid compounds. In particular, palmitic acid, oleic acid, tocopherol isomers and total sterols could be useful biomarkers for evaluating the grain-to-tissue ratio in recombined flours

HUBUNGAN KEIKUTSERTAAN KEGIATAN EKSTRAKURIKULER DAN PRESTASI BELAJAR PESERTA DIDIK
Abstract: The purpose of this study was to describe: (1) the level of participation of extracurricular activities of SMPN Trenggalek district students; (2) the level of learning achievement of SMPN Trenggalek district students; (3) the relationship between the participation of extracurricular activities and the students’ learning achievements of SMPN Treggalek district. This study used a quantitative approach with a simple linear regression design. The sampling technique used in this study was cluster sampling by taking a representative from each region contained in the population. The sample for the participation of extracurricular activities was 284 students from a population of 978 students which located in SMPN Trenggalek district. The instrument used in data collection was in the form of a questionnaire. The data analysis technique used in this study was descriptive technique, simple linear regression. The conclusions of this study were: (1) the level of participation of extracurricular activities of SMPN Trenggalek students was in the medium category; (2) the level of learning achievements of SMPN Trenggalek students was in the medium category; (3) simultaneously, there was a positive relationship between the participation of extracurricular activities with students’ learning achievements of SMPN Trenggalek district. Keyword: participation of extracurricular activities; learning achievement Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui : (1) tingkat keikutsertaan peserta didik pada kegiatan ekstrakurikuler di SMP Negeri Kabupaten Trenggalek; (2) tingkat prestasi belajar peserta didik di SMP Negeri Kabupaten Trenggalek; (3) hubungan tingkat keikutsertaan kegiatan ekstrakurikuler dan prestasi belajar peserta didik di SMP Negeri Kabupaten Trenggalek.Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan rancangan regresi linier sederhana. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik area (cluster) sampling yaitu teknik sampling dengan mengambil wakil dari setiap wilayah yang terdapat dalam populasi tersebut. Sampel keikutsertaan kegiatan ekstrkurikuler terdapat 284 peserta didik dari populasi sejumlah 978 peserta didik dengan lokasi penelitian di SMP Negeri Kabupaten Trenggalek. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam pengumpulan data yakni berupa angket. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu teknik deskriptif, dan regresi linier sederhana. Simpulan penelitian ini yaitu: (1) tingkat keikutsertaan peserta didik pada kegiatan ekstrakurikuler di SMP Negeri Kabupaten Trenggalek dalam kategori sedang; (2) tingkat prestasi belajar peserta didik di SMP Negeri Kabupaten Trenggalek dalam kategori sedang; (3) secara simultan terdapat hubungan yag positif antara tingkat keikutsertaan kegiatan ekstrakurikuler dan prestasi belajar peserta didik di SMP Negeri Kabupaten Trenggalek. Kata Kunci: keikutsertaan kegiatan ekstrakurikuler; prestasi belaja
