    This document captures example reference trajectories for the PPE including a reference delivery orbit and orbit maintenance, an example cislunar orbit transfer and end-of-mission (EOM) disposal trajectory. The flexibility of electric propulsion offers, by its low thrust nature, multiple different trajectory options to transfer from one orbit to another. The trajectories captured in this document are representative examples of a low thrust transfer from the NRHO and to multiple cislunar orbits. This document provides a consistent set of data from mission design to be used in the design of the vehicle capable of flying the trajectory described. The data in this document will be used to create conference papers. In order to do so, we are ending this document through for external release

    Pre-service teachers need to experience authentic arts activities to confidently impart the quality arts engagement that young learners deserve. Most importantly, these experiences should contribute to shaping emerging teacher identities. We sought to understand the student experience of online early childhood pre-service in their arts courses, and what they need to become competent and confident teachers of the arts. Using data from 51 responses to a 24-question qualitative survey distributed across three Australian universities, we engaged in the methodological process of qualitative bricolage to present a story constellation offering important insights for online teacher-educators in the arts

    Effects of simulated anaemia on the blood chemistry of Atlantic cod, Atlantic halibut, and Atlantic salmon

    Abstract Anaemia is a common pathology associated with many diseases and infections, though its physiological effects are poorly understood. This project aimed to develop a methodology for inducing a stable experimental anaemia in Atlantic cod, halibut, and salmon, and thereby investigate the physiological impact of anaemia. Atlantic cod, halibut, and salmon were rendered progressively anaemic by means of intraperitoneal injections of 3 μg·g-1 phenylhydrazine in a dimethyl sulfoxide vehicle, dissolved in Cortland’s saline. One injection was sufficient to induce anaemia in Atlantic cod, while two injections, one week apart, provided an acceptable reduction in haematocrit and haemoglobin for both Atlantic halibut and salmon. There was a significant reduction in plasma lactate in the phenylhydrazine-injected group of Atlantic cod, and plasma glucose was significantly reduced in anaemic and control fish for both Atlantic halibut and salmon. Additionally, there was a significantly lower concentration of plasma sodium and chloride in the Cortland’s saline-only control group of Atlantic halibut. Peripheral blood smear analysis showed no significant differences in leukocyte proportions in any of the species investigated, but there was a marked increase in immature erythrocytes in the anaemic groups of all species

    Analysis of Cislunar Transfers from a Near Rectilinear Halo Orbit with High Power Solar Electric Propulsion

    As government and commercial interest in the exploration of the Moon and cislu- nar space has grown, Near Rectilinear Halo Orbits (NRHOs) have shown to be of particular interest as staging orbits for human exploration of the Moon. Once in such staging orbits, low thrust solar electric propulsion (SEP) can enable efficient transfer to other orbits in cislunar space. This paper captures ongoing analysis to design efficient transfers of a massive spacecraft from a L2 Southern NRHO to a Distant Retrograde Orbit, L1 Northern NRHO, and Flat L2 Halo Orbit using low thrust SEP. For each transfer type, reference transfer is designed for an assumed 39 t spacecraft with 26.6 kW SEP system. For each reference transfer, analysis is completed to understand the sensitivity of the transfer to changes in initial mass and SEP power and identify the optimal number of thrusters to use for a given combination of mass and power

    Reproductive success of the parasitic mite (Varroa destructor) is lower in honeybee colonies that target infested cells with recapping

    Cell recapping is a behavioural trait of honeybees (Apis mellifera) where cells with developing pupae are uncapped, inspected, and then recapped, without removing the pupae. The ectoparasitic mite Varroa destructor, unarguably the most destructive pest in apiculture world-wide, invades the cells of developing pupae to feed and reproduce. Honeybees that target mite infested cells with this behaviour may disrupt the reproductive cycle of the mite. Hence, cell recapping has been associated with colony-level declines in mite reproduction. In this study we compared the colony-level efficacy of cell recapping (how often infested cells are recapped) to the average mite fecundity in A. mellifera. Our study populations, known to be adapted to V. destructor, were from Avignon, France, Gotland, Sweden, and Oslo, Norway, and were compared to geographically similar, treated control colonies. The results show that colonies with a higher recapping efficacy also have a lower average mite reproductive success. This pattern was likely driven by the adapted populations as they had the largest proportion of highly-targeted cell recapping. The consistent presence of this trait in mite-resistant and mite-susceptible colonies with varying degrees of expression may make it a good proxy trait for selective breeding on a large scale
