    Phyllosticta citricarpa and sister species of global importance to Citrus.

    Several Phyllosticta species are known as pathogens of Citrus spp., and are responsible for various disease symptoms including leaf and fruit spots. One of the most important species is P. citricarpa, which causes a foliar and fruit disease called citrus black spot. The Phyllosticta species occurring on citrus can most effectively be distinguished from P. citricarpa by means of multilocus DNA sequence data. Recent studies also demonstrated P. citricarpa to be heterothallic, and reported successful mating in the laboratory. Since the domestication of citrus, different clones of P. citricarpa have escaped Asia to other continents via trade routes, with obvious disease management consequences. This pathogen profile represents a comprehensive literature review of this pathogen and allied taxa associated with citrus, focusing on identification, distribution, genomics, epidemiology and disease management. This review also considers the knowledge emerging from seven genomes of Phyllosticta spp., demonstrating unknown aspects of these species, including their mating behaviour.TaxonomyPhyllosticta citricarpa (McAlpine) Aa, 1973.     Dalitz analysis of B --> K pi psi' decays and the Z(4430)+

    From a Dalitz plot analysis of B --> K pi psi' decays, we find a signal for Z(4430)+ --> pi+ psi' with a mass M= (4443(+15-12)(+19-13))MeV/c^2, width Gamma= (107(+86-43)(+74-56))MeV, product branching fraction BR(B0 --> K- Z(4430)+) x BR(Z(4430)+ --> pi+ psi')= (3.2(+1.8-0.9)(+5.3-1.6)) x 10^{-5}, and significance of 6.4sigma that agrees with previous Belle measurements based on the same data sample. In addition, we determine the branching fraction BR(B^0 --> K*(892)^0 psi')= (5.52(+0.35-0.32)(+0.53-0.58)) x 10^{-4} and the fraction of K*(892)^0 mesons that are longitudinally polarized f_L= 44.8(+4.0-2.7)(+4.0-5.3)%. These results are obtained from a 605fb^{-1} data sample that contains 657 million B-anti-B pairs collected near the Upsilon(4S) resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric energy e+e- collider.Comment: Final version published in PRD(RC

    First Measurement of Inclusive B -> X_s eta Decays

    We report a first measurement of inclusive B -> X_s eta decays, where X_s is a charmless state with unit strangeness. The measurement is based on a pseudo-inclusive reconstruction technique and uses a sample of 657 x 10^6 BB-bar pairs accumulated with the Belle detector at the KEKB e^+e^- collider. For M_{X_s} < 2.6 GeV/c^2, we measure a branching fraction of (26.1 +/- 3.0 (stat) +1.9 -2.1 (syst) +4.0 -7.1 (model)) x 10^-5 and a direct CP asymmetry of A_{CP} = -0.13 +/- 0.04 +0.02 -0.03.     Evidence for a new resonance and search for the Y(4140) in ÎłÎłâ†’Ï•J/ψ\gamma \gamma \to \phi J/\psi

    The process \gamma \gamma \to \phi \jpsi is measured for \phi \jpsi masses between threshold and 5 GeV/c2{\it c}^2, using a data sample of 825 fb−1^{-1} collected with the Belle detector. A narrow peak of 8.8−3.2+4.28.8^{+4.2}_{-3.2} events, with a significance of 3.2 standard deviations including systematic uncertainty, is observed. The mass and natural width of the structure (named X(4350)) are measured to be (4350.6−5.1+4.6(stat)±0.7(syst))MeV/c2(4350.6^{+4.6}_{-5.1}(\rm{stat})\pm 0.7(\rm{syst})) \hbox{MeV}/{\it c}^2 and (13−9+18(stat)±4(syst))MeV(13^{+18}_{-9}(\rm{stat})\pm 4(\rm{syst})) \hbox{MeV}, respectively. The product of its two-photon decay width and branching fraction to \phi\jpsi is (6.7−2.4+3.2(stat)±1.1(syst))eV(6.7^{+3.2}_{-2.4}(\rm{stat}) \pm 1.1(\rm{syst})) \hbox{eV} for JP=0+J^P=0^+, or (1.5−0.6+0.7(stat)±0.3(syst))eV(1.5^{+0.7}_{-0.6}(\rm{stat}) \pm 0.3(\rm{syst})) \hbox{eV} for JP=2+J^P=2^+. No signal for the Y(4140)\to \phi \jpsi structure reported by the CDF Collaboration in B\to K^+ \phi \jpsi decays is observed, and limits of \Gamma_{\gamma \gamma}(Y(4140)) \BR(Y(4140)\to\phi \jpsi)<41 \hbox{eV} for JP=0+J^P=0^+ or <6.0eV<6.0 \hbox{eV} for JP=2+J^P=2^+ are determined at the 90% C.L.     Search for CP Violation in D Meson Decays to phi pi+

    We search for CP violation in Cabibbo-suppressed charged D meson decays by measuring the difference between the CP violating asymmetries for the Cabibbo-suppressed decays D+ -> K+K-pi+ and the Cabibbo-favored decays Ds -> K+K-pi+ in the K+K- mass region of the phi resonance. Using 955/fb of data collected with the Belle detector we obtain A_CP(D+ -> phi pi+) = (+0.51 +- 0.28 +- 0.05)%. The measurement improves the sensitivity of previous searches by more than a factor of five. We find no evidence for direct CP violation.Comment: submitted to PR

    Measurements of Charmless Hadronic b->s Penguin Decays in the pi+pi-K+pi- Final State and First Observation of B0 -> rho0K+pi-

    We report measurements of charmless hadronic B^0 decays into the pi+pi-K+pi+ final state. The analysis uses a sample of 657x10^6 BBbar pairs collected with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e+e- collider at the Y(4S) resonance. The decay B^0 -> rho0 Kpi is observed for the first time; the significance is 5.0sigma and the corresponding partial branching fraction for M_Kpi in (0.75,1.20) GeV/c^2 is [2.8 +- 0.5(stat) +-0.5(syst)] x 10^{-6}. We also obtain the first evidence for B^0 -> f0Kpi with 3.5sigma significance and for B^0 -> pi+pi-K*0 with 4.5sigma significance. For the two-body decays B^0 -> rho0K*0 and B^0 -> f0K*0, the significances are 2.7sigma and 2.5sigma, respectively, and the upper limits on the branching fractions are 3.4x10^{-6} and 2.2x10^{-6} at 90% confidence level.Comment: 6 pages, 3 figures. accepted by PRD(RC

    Measurement of CP asymmetries in B0→K0π0B^0 \to K^0\pi^0 decays

    We report measurements of CP violation parameters in B0→K0π0B^0 \to K^0 \pi^0 decays based on a data sample of 657×106BBˉ657 \times 10^6 B\bar{B} pairs collected with the Belle detector at the KEKB e+e−e^+ e^- asymmetric-energy collider. We use B0→KS0π0B^0 \to K^0_S \pi^0 decays for both mixing-induced and direct CPCP violating asymmetry measurements and B0→KL0π0B^0 \to K^0_L \pi^0 decays for the direct CP violation measurement. The CP violation parameters obtained are sin⁥2ϕ1eff=+0.67±0.31(stat)±0.08(syst)\sin 2 \phi_1^{\rm eff} = +0.67 \pm 0.31{(stat)} \pm 0.08 {(syst)} and AK0π0=+0.14±0.13(stat)±0.06(syst)\mathcal{A}_{K^0 \pi^0} = +0.14 \pm 0.13{(stat)} \pm 0.06 {(syst)}. The branching fraction of B0→K0π0B^0 \to K^0 \pi^0 decay is measured to be B(B0→K0π0)=(8.7±0.5(stat.)±0.6(syst.))×10−6\mathcal{B}(B^0 \to K^0 \pi^0) = (8.7\pm0.5 (\rm{stat.})\pm0.6 (\rm{syst.}))\times 10^{-6}. The observed AK0π0\mathcal{A}_{K^0 \pi^0} value differs by 1.9 standard deviations from the value expected from an isospin sum rule.Comment: 6 pages, 3 figure

    Search for CP violation in tau -> K^0_S pi nu_tau decays at Belle

    We report on a search for CP violation in tau -> K^0_S pi nu_tau decays using a data sample of 699 fb^{-1} collected in the Belle experiment at the KEKB electron-positron asymmetric-energy collider. The CP asymmetry is measured in four bins of the invariant mass of the K^0_S pi system and found to be compatible with zero with a precision of O(10^{-3}) in each mass bin. Limits for the CP violation parameter Im(eta_S) are given at a 90 % confidence level. These limits are |Im(eta_S)|<0.026 or better, depending on the parameterization used to describe the hadronic form factors and improve upon previous limits by one order of magnitude

    We report measurements of the branching fractions and CP asymmetries for B^+- -> eta h^+- (h = K or pi) and the observation of the decay B^0 -> eta K^0 from the final data sample of 772x10^6 BBbar pairs collected with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e^+e^- collider. The measured branching fractions are Br(B^+- -> eta K^+-) = (2.12 +- 0.23 +- 0.11)x10^-6}, Br(B^+- -> eta pi^+-) = (4.07 +- 0.26 +- 0.21)x10^{-6} and Br(B^0 -> eta K^0) = (1.27^{+0.33}_{-0.29} +- 0.08)x10^-6, where the last decay is observed for the first time with a significance of 5.4 standard deviations (\sigma). We also find evidence for CP violation in the charged B modes, A_{CP}(B^+- -> eta K^+-) = -0.38 +- 0.11 +- 0.01 and A_{CP}(B^+- -> eta pi^+- = -0.19 +- 0.06 +- 0.01 with significances of 3.8 sigma and 3.0 sigma, respectively.     Improved measurement of time-dependent CP violation in B0 -> J/Psi pi0 decays

    We report improved measurements of time-dependent CP violation parameters for B0(Bˉ0)→J/ψπ0B^0(\bar{B}^0) \to J/\psi \pi^0 decay. This analysis is based on 535 million BBˉB\bar{B} pairs accumulated at the ΄(4S)\Upsilon(4S) resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e^+e^- collider. From the distribution of proper time intervals between the two B decays, we obtain the following CP violation parameters SJ/ψπ0=−0.65±0.21(stat)±0.05(syst)\mathcal{S}_{J/\psi \pi^0} = -0.65\pm0.21 (\rm{stat})\pm0.05 (\rm{syst}) and AJ/ψπ0=+0.08±0.16(stat)±0.05(syst)\mathcal{A}_{J/\psi \pi^0} = +0.08\pm0.16 (\rm{stat})\pm0.05 (\rm{syst}), which are consistent with Standard Model expectations.Comment: Resubmitted to PRD(RC), including 4 figures, 6pages Revision has been made according to communication with PRD referee
