Natural supersymmetry and dynamical flavour with meta-stable vacua
We show how gauged flavour breaking and N = 1 supersymmetry breaking can be dynamically aligned to produce natural models. Supersymmetry is broken in a metastable vacuum, while a weakly gauged flavour symmetry is identified with an SU (3) F subgroup of the global symmetry of the SQCD model. We find that alignment can easily occur either through strongly coupled flavour models, with SQCD bound states playing the role of flavons, or entirely weakly coupled and renormalizable models with elementary SU (3) F adjoint flavons. In both cases it is essential that the SU (3) F breaking, and hence all the flavour structure, is driven dynamically by the SUSY breaking. The resulting flavour gauge mediation in conjunction with the usual gauge mediation contribution leads to naturally light third generations squarks, with first and second generations above exclusions
Soft Spectrum in Yukawa-Gauge Mediation
We introduce a model independent parametrization for a subclass of gauge
mediated theories, which we refer to as Yukawa-gauge mediation. Within this
formalism we study the resulting soft masses in the visible spectrum. We find
general expressions for the gaugino and scalar masses. Under generic
conditions, the gaugino mass is screened, vanishing at first order in the SUSY
breaking scale.Comment: 22 pages, 4 figures; v2: minor corrections, published versio
Superpartner spectrum of minimal gaugino-gauge mediation
We evaluate the sparticle mass spectrum in the minimal four-dimensional
construction that interpolates between gaugino and ordinary gauge mediation at
the weak scale. We find that even in the hybrid case -- when the messenger
scale is comparable to the mass of the additional gauge particles -- both the
right-handed as well as the left-handed sleptons are lighter than the bino in
the low-scale mediation regime. This implies a chain of lepton production and,
consequently, striking signatures that may be probed at the LHC already in the
near future.Comment: 8 pages, 3 figures; V2: refs and a few comments added; V3 title

On the Spectrum of Direct Gaugino Mediation
In direct gauge mediation, the gaugino masses are anomalously small, giving
rise to a split SUSY spectrum. Here we investigate the superpartner spectrum in
a minimal version of "direct gaugino mediation." We find that the sfermion
masses are comparable to those of the gauginos - even in the hybrid
gaugino-gauge mediation regime - if the messenger scale is sufficiently small.Comment: 21 pages, 4 figures; V2: refs. adde
Natural supersymmetry and unification in five dimensions
We explore unification and natural supersymmetry in a five dimensional extension of the standard model in which the extra dimension may be large, of the order of 1–10 TeV. Power law running generates a TeV scale At term allowing for the observed 125 GeV Higgs and allowing for stop masses below 2 TeV, compatible with a natural SUSY spectrum. We supply the full one-loop RGEs for various models and use metastability to give a prediction that the gluino mass should be lighter than 3.5 TeV for At ≥ −2.5 TeV, for such a compactification scale, with brane localised 3rd generation matter. We also discuss models in which only the 1st and 2nd generation of matter fields are located in the bulk. We also look at electroweak symmetry breaking in these models.NCS201
Flavor of quiver-like realizations of effective supersymmetry
We present a class of supersymmetric models which address the flavor puzzle
and have an inverted hierarchy of sfermions. Their construction involves
quiver-like models with link fields in generic representations. The magnitude
of Standard-Model parameters is obtained naturally and a relatively heavy Higgs
boson is allowed without fine tuning. Collider signatures of such models are
possibly within the reach of LHC in the near future.Comment: LaTeX, 17 pages, 3 figures. V2: reference adde
Exploring Holographic General Gauge Mediation
We study models of gauge mediation with strongly coupled hidden sectors,
employing a hard wall background as an holographic dual description. The
structure of the soft spectrum depends crucially on the boundary conditions one
imposes on bulk fields at the IR wall. Generically, vector and fermion
correlators have poles at zero momentum, leading to gauge mediation by massive
vector messengers and/or generating Dirac gaugino masses. Instead, non-generic
choices of boundary conditions let one cover all of GGM parameter space.
Enriching the background with R-symmetry breaking scalars, the SSM soft term
structure becomes more constrained and similar to previously studied top-down
models, while retaining the more analytic control the present bottom-up
approach offers.Comment: 28 pages, 4 figures; v2: typos corrected and refs adde
Mediation of Supersymmetry Breaking in Quivers
The soft masses due to SUSY breaking, mediated by gauge fields, are computed
for generic matter in quiver gauge theories.Comment: LaTeX, 30 pages, 8 figure
