The -3N problem with separable interactions
The -3N-interaction is studied within the four-body Faddeev-Yakubovsky
theory adopting purely separable forms for the two- and three-body
subamplitudes, limiting the basic two-body interactions to s-waves only. The
corresponding separable approximation for the integral kernels is obtained by
using the Hilbert-Schmidt procedure. Results are presented for the -H
scattering amplitude and for the total elastic cross section for energies below

Euler configurations and quasi-polynomial systems
In the Newtonian 3-body problem, for any choice of the three masses, there
are exactly three Euler configurations (also known as the three Euler points).
In Helmholtz' problem of 3 point vortices in the plane, there are at most three
collinear relative equilibria. The "at most three" part is common to both
statements, but the respective arguments for it are usually so different that
one could think of a casual coincidence. By proving a statement on a
quasi-polynomial system, we show that the "at most three" holds in a general
context which includes both cases. We indicate some hard conjectures about the
configurations of relative equilibrium and suggest they could be attacked
within the quasi-polynomial framework.Comment: 21 pages, 6 figure

Trust within entrepreneur bank relationships: insights from Italy
Previous research has focused on economic factors that influence relationships between entrepreneurs and banks. Trust is relevant because it can reduce agency problems. A conceptual framework is developed from previous literature and from a study of entrepreneurs and bank managers from two regions of Northeast Italy. Testable propositions are derived regarding determinants of trust and the process of development in the entrepreneur–bank relationship. Within close-knit communities, information from third parties and community involvement affect the build up of trust. The implications are that bestowing trust may increase trustworthy behavior leading to a spiral of trust. Heavy monitoring may lead to lower levels of trust in a bank and lower demand for finance and/or less trustworthy behavior
Spectral estimation for long-term evolution transceivers using low-complex filter banks
For mobile user equipments (UEs), a careful power management is essential. Despite this fact, quite an amount of energy is wasted in today's UEs’ analogue (AFEs) and digital frontends (DFEs). These are engineered for extracting the wanted signal from a spectral environment defined in the corresponding communication standards with their extremely tough requirements. These requirements define a worst-case scenario still ensuring reliable communication. In a typical receiving process the actual requirements can be considered as less critical. Knowledge about the actual environmental spectral conditions allows to reconfigure both frontends to the actual needs and to save energy. In this paper, the authors present a highly efficient generic spectrum sensing approach, which allows to collect information about the actual spectral environment of an UE. This information can be used to reconfigure both the AFE and DFE, thus endowing them with increased intelligence. A low-complex multiplier free filter bank extended by an efficient power calculation unit will be introduced. They also present simulation results, which illustrate the performance of the spectrum sensing approach and a complexity comparison with different well-known implementations is given. Furthermore, estimates on the chip area and power consumption based on a 65 nm CMOS technology database are provided, considering the Smarti4G chip as a reference
