DESIGN OF CONTAINER USE AS AN ALTERNATIVE HOUSING WITH FUTURISTIC MODERN ARCHITECTURE CONCEPT
In planning the design of a house that will be inhabited, of course the facilities needed to support the preservation of nature and the environment. The use of youth containers or containers is increasingly being used. For practical reasons and because of other advantages. In addition, the use of containers is believed to be one of the innovative building materials for the future. The use of containers also plays a big role in environmental sustainability, because they can help reduce used containers or in other words semi-used containers that are often left abandoned. The study process used in the general design of the use of containers as an alternative to housing is carried out through research methods that are qualitative-correlative analysis, which is a value contained in something/an object. The research location is located on street Bandara I (Jalan Adonis Samad) with coordinates 2º15'33.3”S 113º56'54.3”E and is 30 minutes from the city center. Coupled with the application of the Modern Futuristic Architecture Theme, for container materials which, if they can be processed properly in the interior decoration, the design is deemed to be able to answer the needs of the lower middle class who need an economical dwelling but still has a good architectural form to be enjoyed in long time
Pengembangan Buku Petunjuk Praktikum IPA Berbasis Model Pembelajaran POE (Predict Observe Explain) Pada Materi Usaha dan Energi
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan buku petunjuk praktikum IPA berbasis model pembelajaran POE (Predict Observe Explain) pada materi usaha dan energi kelas VIII SMP di kota Singkawang, kualitas buku petunjuk praktikum, dan respon siswa terhadap buku petunjuk praktikum. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research & Development. Subjek dalam penelitain ini adalah dua orang guru IPA SMP dan 40 orang siswa kelas VIII dari SMP Negeri 8 Singkawang, serta SMP Torsina 1 Singkawang. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah angket untuk mengetahui penilaian kualitas dan respon dari buku petunjuk praktikum yang dibuat. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa, (1) telah dihasilkan buku petunjuk praktikum IPA berbasis model pembelajaran POE pada materi usaha dan energi kelas VIII SMP kota Singkawang yang telah dikembangkan dengan menggunakan model pengembangan prosedural, yang direvisi berdasarkan masukan dari ahli materi, ahli media, dan guru, (2) kualitas buku petunjuk praktikum yang dinilai oleh dua guru IPA kelas VIII yang masing-masing berasal dari SMP Negeri 8 Singkawang dan SMP Torsina 1 Singkawang adalah sangat baik, dengan skor 102, sehingga buku petunjuk praktikum IPA berbasis POE, layak untuk digunakan oleh guru sebagai bahan ajar di sekolah, (3) kualitas buku petunjuk praktikum yang dinilai berdasarkan respon 12 orang siswa pada uji coba skala kecil sebesar 67,66 dengan kriteria Baik (B). Sedangkan pada uji coba skala luas yang dilakukan pada 40 siswa yang berasal dari SMP Negeri 8 Singkawang dan SMP Torsina 1 Singkawang, dengan rincian 20 siswa dari SMP Negeri 8 Singkawang, 20 orang dari SMP Torsina 1 Singkawang adalah Sangat Baik (SB), dengan skor 68,20, sehingga buku petunjuk praktikum IPA berbasis POE dapat digunakan oleh siswa sebagai tambahan sumber belajar
DEVELOPING ENGKLEK GAME USING LEARNING STYLES APPROACH TO TEACH ENGLISH VOCABULARY FOR 4TH GRADE STUDENTS OF SD MUHAMMADIYAH KAUMAN YOGYAKARTA IN ACADEMIC YEAR 2015/2016
This study was intended to develop Engklek Game using learning style approach as a media to teach English vocabulary for 4th grade students of SD Muhammadiyah Kauman Yogyakarta in academic year 2015/2016.The subject of the research was 4th grade students of SD Muhammadiyah Kauman Yogyakarta in academic year 2015/2016. The data of students’ needs and learning style was collected by the researcher by giving questionnaire, doing interviews and doing observations. The result of the data then was used to become considerations in developing Engklek Game. Then, the prototype of the product was evaluated by experts. There were English teacher as the expert in ELT and lecture of Elementary Education Department as the expert in learning styles. In order to find the effectiveness of Engklek Game, the implementation was done by giving pre-test, treatment and post-test to students. The data was calculated by using SPSS 16.00. After the implementation, the researcher did evaluation by analyzing the students’ responses to the media.The result of the evaluation done by the experts of ELT and learning styles showed that Engklek Game is suitable to be used as media to teach English vocabulary for 4th grade students of SD Muhammadiyah Kauman Yogyakarta in academic year 2015/2016. In other side, after the result of pre test and post test had been calculated, it can be seen that there was a significant enhancement of students in learning English vocabulary after taught using Engklek Game. While based on students’ response, it can be concluded that Engklek Game is appropriate to be used.</jats:p
