    Multi-energy Microgrids Incorporating EV Integration : Optimal Design and Resilient Operation

    There are numerous opportunities and challenges in integrating multiple energy sources, for example, electrical, heat, and electrified transportation. The operation of multi-energy sources needs to be coordinated and optimized to achieve maximum benefits and reliability. To address the electrical, thermal, and transportation electrification energy demands in a sustainable and environmentally friendly multi-energy microgrid, this paper presents a mixed integer linear optimization model that determines an optimized blend of energy sources (battery, combined heat and power units, thermal energy storage, gas boiler, and photovoltaic generators), size, and associated dispatch. The proposed energy management system seeks to minimize total annual expenses while simultaneously boosting system resilience during extended grid outages, based on an hourly electrical and thermal load profile. This approach has been tested in a hospital equipped with an EV charging station in Okinawa, Japan through several case studies. Following a M1/M2/c queuing model, the proposed grid-tied microgrid successfully integrates EVs into the system and assures continued and economic power supply even during grid failures in different weather conditions.©2022 IEEE.     This study aims to find out how the Ngapati tradition is carried out by the community in Gondang Village, Karangreja District, Purbalingga Regency, and to find out how the Internalization of Islamic Education Values in the community in the Ngapati tradition in Gondang Village, Karangreja District, Purbalingga Regency. This type of research is field research where researchers go directly to the field to obtain data and information related to the research being conducted. This research is presented in a descriptive form to describe a process that occurs in the field. While the approach taken is qualitative. Data collection techniques used: observation, interviews, and documentation. While the data analysis technique uses three steps of data analysis: Data Reduction, Data Presentation, and Drawing Conclusions. The results showed the internalization of Islamic Education's values in the Ngapati tradition in Gondang Village, Karangreja District, Purbalingga Regency. The implementation of the Ngapati tradition in Gondang Village, Karangreja District, Purbalingga Regency, has two phases. In today’s world on the off chance that somebody needs to take an arrangement to a specialist needs to go to hospital or clinic physically and then make the arrangement. This devours valuable time of the patient. Additionally, if the specialist crosses out his/her calendar, the patient does not come to know about it unless he/she goes to the center. Other than this, individuals living in significant urban areas have access to quality specialists yet have to struggle because of the absence of extra time and substantial congested road. However, individuals living in rural areas don't have legitimate medical support inside their range. To minimize the issue, we are attempting to build up an online system where patients can have quality medical administration from qualified specialists everywhere throughout the nation. Specialists will straightforwardly communicate with the patient through chat server. Furthermore, the system will be a stage for new specialists. The specialist will come to know a number of patients he needs to consult in the entire day. Our system "My Doctor" will eliminate the receptionist’s paperwork. We have utilized data compression to lessen the amount of data stored in the system.     A control algorithm to increase the efficient operation of wind energy conversion systems under extreme wind conditions

    This paper aims to increase the power production of gearless permanent magnet synchronous generator (PMSG) based wind energy conversion systems (WECS) in strong (greater than 25 m/s) wind speed regions. In general, most wind turbines cut off when wind speed is over the cut-out rate; as a result, the power generation of the wind farm decreases. This study introduces the look-up table pitch angle and rotational speed control to generate extra power in a strong wind region. Consequently, WECS can produce electric power at a reduced level until the wind speed reaches 35 m/s and the possibility of shutting down the wind turbines decreases. The proposed algorithm decreases the mechanical stress of wind turbine by decelerating rotational speed rather than turbine torque in strong wind regions. Furthermore, the model predictive control (MPC) is proposed to replace the PI controller in the inner current loop of the rotor speed control loop, thereby improving the performance of the stator current track. The proposed control method is validated in Matlab/SimPowerSystem software.     Pendidikan Islam di Indonesia memberi kesan yang tidak menggembirakan, realitas pendidikan Islam pada umumnya memang dirasakan mengalami kemuduran dan keterbelakangan, walaupun akhir-akhir ini mulai berangsur-angsur mulai terasa kemajuannya. Ini terbukti dengan berdirinya lembaga-lembaga pendidikan Islam dan model pendidikan Islam yang ditawarkan akan tetapi tantangan yang dihadapi sangatlah kompleks sehingga menuntut inovasi itu sendiri. Seiring dengan perkembangan zaman, ustadz/ustadzah membutuhkan suatu strategi dan inovasi baru untuk menanamkan Nilai-nilai Pendidikan Agama Islam kepada para santri, dikarenakan santri memiliki rasa jenuh atau bosan ketika kegiatan belajar yang hanya terus di dalam ruangan/kelas. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk meneliti apakah kegiatan rihlah dapat menjadi jawaban dari permasalahan tersebut. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan mengambil tempat penelitian di TPQ Al-Amin Pabuwaran Kecamatan Purwokerto Utara Kabupaten Banyumas.Pengumpulan data yang dilakukan yaitu dengan menggunakan metode observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Sedangkan dalam analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis data model Milles dan Huberman yang terdiri dari tiga alur yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan rihlah di TPQ Al-Amin Pabuwaran mengandung Nilai-nilai Pendikan Agama Islam berupa nilai akidah, nilai ibadah, nilai akhlak dan nilai kemasyarakatan kepada para santri di Taman Pendidikan Al-Qur’an Al-Amin Pabuwaran. kegiatan rihlah disini dilakukan dengan cara kreatif dan berbeda dengan rihlah yang seperti biasanya, sehingga memberikan rasa kepuasan dan kegembiraan baik bagi santri, walisantri maupun ustadz/ustadzah. Dengan hal ini, dapat dikatakan bahwa kegiatan rihlah juga bisa menjadi inovasi untuk menanamkan nilai-nilai Pendidikan Islam

    Performance assessment of a hybrid complementary power system for sustainable electrification: a case study

    This paper looks at an islanded complementary power system in Sierra Leone’s South-eastern region. It presents a method for assessing or evaluating the performance of an existing complementary hybrid energy system (Bo-Kenema power network) in an urban environment, taking seasonal variability into consideration. The proposed method attempts to assess the feasibility of establishing either a new hybrid system without current sources or a hybrid system that includes both existing and new sources. A comprehensive techno-economic-environmental optimization analysis was carried out in which 13 scenarios were evaluated and compared. With a net present cost (NPC) of 50.4million(M)andacostofenergy(COE)of50.4 million (M) and a cost of energy (COE) of 0.211/kWh, Case 1 (Solar photovoltaics (PV)/generator 1 (G1)/generator 2 (G2)/generator 3 (G3)/battery/hydro/converter) was found to be the most cost-effective and sustainable scenario. The sensitivity analysis performed on Case 1 (optimum scenario) revealed that the total system cost was heavily reliant on turbine efficiency, PV and battery capital prices. Furthermore, adding two extra high-efficiency turbines (75%) to the optimum scenario eliminated the PV component and reduced the COE and NPC by 38.9% (from 0.211/kWhto0.211/kWh to 0.129/kWh) and 39.1% (from 50.4Mto50.4M to 30.7M) respectively, while increasing CO2 emissions by 49.9%. This elimination led to a change in the configuration of Case 1 (G1/G2/G3/hydro). The preference of the governing authorities determines whether the previous or later optimal design is to be implemented. By implementing this strategy, the optimum scenario can provide cost-effective and long-term electricity for the selected region

    A simulation study of techno-economics and resilience of the solar PV irrigation system against grid outages

    Water is the most fundamental need for better yield in agriculture. Worldwide, diesel and electricity are typically used to pump water which contributes to atmospheric pollution. Besides, a power outage affects the irrigation process badly. Without water, the crop may wither away, causing a substantial economic loss. This paper discusses the resilience of a solar PV system during a power outage. HOMER Pro software was used to perform the techno-economic analysis of solar-based irrigation for four major divisions of Bangladesh, while 1-hour power outage was assigned in REopt lite to model the survivability of the system against the grid outage. The simulation outcomes showed that the energy cost is 0.1496/kWh,0.1496/kWh, 0.1502/kWh, 0.1557/kWh,and0.1557/kWh, and 0.1576/kWh for Rajshahi, Sylhet, Dhaka, and Chattogram, respectively. About 45% of excess electricity can be stored after fulfilling all requirements. The system is more economical than a microgrid-based water pumping system and a diesel-based system, and the photovoltaic system is technically and economically suitable to pump water if the nearest grid connection is impossible. When connected to the main utility grid, the system can survive without grid power for several hours, subject to daytime outages
