Group-work therapeutic engagement in a high secure hospital: male service user perspectives
This paper discusses a service user perspective of factors that influence engagement in therapeutic group-work within a high secure hospital environment. An opportunistic sample of eleven male service users were interviewed, using a semi-structured protocol. This was underpinned by social and psychological factors highlighted within the literature, and concepts drawn from the Health Belief Model (HBM, Rosenstock, 1974). In accordance with service-user led initiatives, interview questions were open-ended, designed to invite and encourage exploration of themes through general discussion. Research findings were analysed through an Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA) approach to identify emergent themes of apparent influence. Themes were identified, and which were categorised into emergent themes and related sub themes. Emergent themes were then considered in relation to the theories and concepts that underpinned and connected them. The most substantial theme was culture of the environment, closely linked to the concepts of choice, which stem from and are greatly influenced by culture. Participants highlighted additional influential areas, namely relationships, trust, motivation, group-work content and expected outcomes

Modelling electron interactions: a semi-rigorous method
We report total electron scattering cross sections (TCS) for SF6, SF5 CF3, and CF3I, molecules of interest to the plasma industry over the energy range from threshold to 2000 eV. We also report the total scattering cross sections for e-formaldehyde for which there are currently no theoretical or experimental results reported. The ionization cross sections for these targets are also estimated using the Deustch and Maerk formalism and are compared with Binary Encounter Bethe (BEB) data of Kim

Dissociation dynamics of transient anion formed via electron attachment to sulfur dioxide
We report the molecular dynamics of dissociative electron attachment to sulfur dioxide (SO2) by measuring the momentum distribution of fragment anions using the velocity slice imaging technique in the electron energy range of 2тАУ10 eV. The S- channel results from symmetric dissociation which exhibits competition between the stretch mode and bending mode of vibration in the excited parent anion. The asymmetric dissociation of parent anions leads to the production of O- and SO- channels where the corresponding neutral fragments are formed in their ground as well as excited electronic states. We also identify that internal excitation of SO- is responsible for its low yield at higher electron energies
Quantum Flux and Reverse Engineering of Quantum Wavefunctions
An interpretation of the probability flux is given, based on a derivation of
its eigenstates and relating them to coherent state projections on a quantum
wavefunction. An extended definition of the flux operator is obtained using
coherent states. We present a "processed Husimi" representation, which makes
decisions using many Husimi projections at each location. The processed Husimi
representation reverse engineers or deconstructs the wavefunction, yielding the
underlying classical ray structure. Our approach makes possible interpreting
the dynamics of systems where the probability flux is uniformly zero or
strongly misleading. The new technique is demonstrated by the calculation of
particle flow maps of the classical dynamics underlying a quantum wavefunction.Comment: Accepted to EP
