Psychosocial counseling for divorced men: a case of men's crisis center

Išgyvenantis skyrybas vyras dažnai netenka ryšio su vaikais, šeimos nariais, draugais, kartu turėto laisvalaikio, bendrų pomėgių, kultūrinio gyvenimo, o svarbiausia - galimybės būti reikalingam. Skyrybos yra vienas iš socialinę asmens atskirtį veikiančių socialinių reiškinių, kurio metu asmuo savanoriškai ar priverstinai atsiskiria nuo jam įprastos, svarbios aplinkos. Magistro darbe, remiantis vyrų, išgyvenančių skyrybas, patirtimi ir asociacijos Vyrų krizių centro dokumentų analize, siekiama atsakyti į klausimus: su kokiomis problemomis susiduria vyrai, išgyvenantys skyrybas? Kodėl vyrai neieško arba atsisako pagalbos? Kaip ir kokia konsultacinė pagalba teikiama skyrybas išgyvenantiems vyrams, siekiant sumažinti jų socialinę atskirtį? Kokia yra psichosocialinio konsultavimo reikšmė vyrų, išgyvenančių skyrybas, socialinių tikslų įgyvendinimui? Tyrimo objektas – psichosocialinis konsultavimas kaip pagalbos būdas vyrams, išgyvenantiems skyrybas. Tyrimo klausimas: kokia psichosocialinio konsultavimo reikšmė vyrų, išgyvenančių skyrybas, socialinės atskirties mažinimui ir socialinių tikslų įgyvendinimui? Tyrimo tikslas - atskleisti psichosocialinio konsultavimo reikšmę vyrų, išgyvenančių skyrybas, socialinės atskirties mažinimui ir socialinių tikslų įgyvendinimui. Tyrimo tikslui pasiekti pasirinktas kokybinis tyrimas taikant pusiau struktūruoto interviu metodą ir dokumentų analizę asociacijos patirties stebėsenai. Tyrimo išvados. Tyrimas padėjo įvardinti priežastis, kurios nulemia vyrų savitumą ir pažeidžiamumą, ir atskleidė, kad stereotipiškas visuomenės požiūris į vyrus nuneigia vyrų problemų buvimą, ir tai apriboja vyrus kreiptis pagalbos ir spręsti jiems skaudžias ir nepalankias situacijas, trukdančias kokybiškam gyvenimui. Viena tokių situacijų yra skyrybos – skaudus, socialinę vyrų atskirtį veikiantis socialinis reiškinys, kurio metu vyras dažnai netenka ryšio su vaikais, šeimos nariais, draugais, kartu turėto laisvalaikio, bendrų pomėgių, kultūrinio gyvenimo, galimybės būti reikalingam. Svarbus skyrybas išgyvenančio vyro žingsnis sprendžiant su skyrybų reiškiniu susijusias problemas ir rūpesčius yra pagalbos ieškojimas. Pagalbos teikimą vyrams, išgyvenantiems skyrybas, išplėtoja psichosocialinis konsultavimas - efektyvi pagalbos teikimo priemonė, suteikianti galimybę mažinti vyrų socialinę atskirtį ir įgyvendinti socialinius tikslus.A divorce surviving man often loses contact with children, family members, friends, together with leisure time, shared interests, cultural life, and most importantly the opportunity to be needed. Divorce is one of the social phenomena that influence a person's exclusion, during which a person separates voluntarily or forced from his usual, important environment. In the master's thesis, based on the analysis of men experiencing divorce experiences and the analysis of the documents of the Men's crisis center, aims to answer the questions: what are the problems faced by men in divorce?, why men do not seek or refuse help?, how and which counseling help is provided to men in divorce to reduce their social exclusion?, what is the significance of psychosocial counseling for men in divorce and achieving social goals?. The subject of the research is psychosocial counseling as a way of helping men who are in divorce. The question of the study: what is the significance of psychosocial counseling, how men survive divorce to reduce social exclusion and achieve social goals? The aim of the study is to reveal the importance of psychosocial counseling, the divorce of men, the reduction of social exclusion and the achievement of social goals. A qualitative study was chosen to achieve the goal of the study, using the semi-structured interview method and document analysis to monitor the experience of the association. Findings of the study. The study helped to identify the causes of male specificity and vulnerability, and revealed that a stereotypical public-to-male approach negates the existence of men's problems, which restricts men from seeking help and tackling the painful and disadvantageous situations which disturbs quality of life. One of these situations is divorce - a painful social phenomenon that affects men's exclusion, during which a man often loses contact with children, family members, friends, together with leisure time, shared interests, cultural life, possibility to be needed. An important step for a divorced man in solving the problems and concerns related to the divorce phenomenon is seeking help.
