The final publication is available at IOS Press through http://dx.doi.org/10.3233/FI-2016-0000Mashup user interfaces provides their functionality through the combination of different services. The integration of such services can be solved by using reusable and third-party components. Furthermore, these interfaces must be adapted to user preferences, context changes, user interactions and component availability. Model transformation is a useful mechanism to address this adaptation but normally these operations only focus on the functional requirements. In this sense, quality attributes should be included in the adaptation process to obtain the best adapted mashup user interface. This paper proposes a generic quality-aware transformation process to support the adaptation of software architectures. The transformation process has been applied in ENIA, a geographic information system, by constructing a specific quality model for the adaptation of mashup user interfaces. This model is taken into account for evaluating the different transformation alternatives and choosing the one that maximizes the quality assessments. The approach has been validated by a set of adaptation scenarios that are intended to maximize different quality factors and therefore apply distinct combinations of metrics.Peer ReviewedPostprint (author's final draft

Measuring the quality of transformation alternatives in software architectures evolution

Many today’s software systems need to be self-adapted at run-time. Model transformation is a good approach to adapt the component-based architecture of such software systems. However, existing model transformation processes focus on the functionalities of systems, giving less importance to the quality attributes. The goal of this study is to improve model transformation processes by also considering quality attributes in the generation and adaptation of component-based architectures (i.e., driving the selection among many alternative model transformations by software architecture metrics). Such metrics evaluate the qualities of an architecture, such as flexibility and modifiability. This paper provides some measures of quality for different transformation alternatives and an example in the ENIA software

The implication of the University in the problems of the so¬ciety and the territory of its environment and of its time, constitutes a major exigency more the university institution spreads toal most all the cities of our country, all more cons¬cience is of that the knowledge is an essential vector of our time and major they are the requirements of innovation to face the emergent problems of extensive urbanization and environmental deterioration. Thisuniversitycommitmentwithitsenviromentissufficientlyrecognizedwhenonespeaksaboutinvestigation but is re comforting also to recognize it in educational efforts like that here we preface. The teaching is formation of human resources and frame of possible confluence of universal concepts with the local conditions. To the margin of this confrontation of generic values with a few historical - social precise and local needs, those resources would not conform as share capital, as so¬lidary with a collective project. In these publications of the a Area of Urban development and Land management of one of its years in the Technical Top School of Architecture, it is necessary to admit this effort of commitment between the global thing and the lo¬cal thing, between the knowledge and the practice, between culture and society. It is necessary to recognize, to support its continuity and contagious diffusion it and it be grateful to all by those, teachers and pupils, who have collaborated both in the curses and in the publications.Junta de Andalucía y Universidad de Granad

Exploring quality-aware architectural transformations at run-time : the ENIA case

The final publication is available at http://link.springer.com/chapter/10.1007/978-3-319-45547-1_23Adapting software systems at run-time is a key issue, especially when these systems consist of components used as intermediary for human-computer interaction. In this sense, model transformation techniques have a widespread acceptance as a mechanism for adapting and evolving the software architecture of such systems. However, existing model transformations often focus on functional requirements, and quality attributes are only manually considered after the transformations are done. This paper aims to improve the quality of adaptations and evolutions in component-based software systems by taking into account quality attributes within the model transformation process. To this end, we present a quality-aware transformation process using software architecture metrics to select among many alternative model transformations. Such metrics evaluate the quality attributes of an architecture. We validate the presented quality-aware transformation process in ENIA, a geographic information system whose user interfaces are based on coarsegrained components and need to be adapted at run-time.Peer Reviewe

This is a publication that presents the proposal to the "contest of ideas about urban integration Guadalmedina River" drawn from the Urban Laboratory, University of Granada, February 2012, . They are a set of short, medium and long term that focus on a common goal: improving urban and environmental riverbed of Guadalmedina and its surroundings, from the mountains to the sea. The design of the river channel is only a very small part of what is proposed: a fundamental change in management, public participation, policy integration in rehabilitation and redevelopment of slums and improving mobility more efficient, equitable and respectful of environmental values, more public transit and less car. Will use the riverbed without fear, as a place of unity of all neighborhoods of their environment
