Forests for the navies: the jurisdictional areas of mountains and plantations (16th – 18th centuries)

A causa de las necesidades por fomentar el mayor número de unidades navales mediante las que preservar la integridad de los territorios de la Monarquía hispánica y su conexión con Ultramar, se desarrolló en la Edad Moderna todo un sistema jurídicoinstitucional que comenzó con los Austrias, se desarrolló con los Borbones y afectó a enormes extensiones de terrenos cuyos árboles, útiles para los astilleros, quedaron vinculados al Real Servicio y de los que se vieron privados las poblaciones circundantes.Due to the need to encourage the many naval units with which the integrity of the Spanish monarchy’s territories were preserved as well as it’s connections overseas, they evolved in the modern age an institutional system that began with the Habsburgs. It was further developed with the Bourbons and affected vast areas of land whose trees, helpful for shipyards, were linked to the royal service and of those who the surrounding populations were deprived

Fomento naval y gestión forestal en la segunda mitad del siglo XVI: documentos para una historia jurídica, institucional y social en el arco cantábrico

Durante el reinado de Felipe II la necesidad de abastecimiento maderero, en favor de una política exterior basada en la construcción de unidades navales en los astilleros del norte peninsular, supuso la proliferación de disposiciones destinadas a encauzar la actuación de instituciones forestales dependientes de la Corona, que fueron creadas a tal efecto, a la par que debía armonizarse la colaboración de las poblaciones rurales y órganos locales a lo largo de la cornisa cantábrica, donde crecían extensas masas de bosques de robles aptas para el casco de los barcos destinados a hacer frente a las incursiones de la piratería y el hostigamiento de otras potencias europeas. En el presente estudio aportamos una selección de textos de carácter normativo y jurisdiccional, custodiados en archivos, que resultan de enorme interés para contribuir a la reconstrucción de aquel episodio de nuestra Historia, sobre el que aún queda mucho por estudiar.During the reign of Philip II the need for wood supply in favor of a foreign policy based on the construction of boats in the shipyards of northern Spain led to the proliferation of regulations to channel the performance of forestry institutions dependent of the Crown as well as harmonizing the cooperation of rural populations and local bodies along the Cantabrian coast, where large masses of forests suitable for the hulls of the boats designed to deal with the attacks of the pirates and harassment of other European powers. In the present study we provide a selection of texts kept in Archives, of regulatory and judicial nature, which are of great interest to contribute to the reconstruction of that episode in our history of which there still much to be analysed

Conflicto de competencias entre aparejador e ingeniero: un pleito del siglo XVIII

A lo largo de toda la Edad Moderna los territorios de la América vinculada a la Monarquía Hispánica no sólo eran de vasta extensión, sino ambicionados por otras potencias europeas. Desde el siglo XVI las incursiones de la piratería y flotas enemigas habían provocado un fuerte sentimiento de inseguridad, siendo el área de Panamá uno de los lugares más inestables del litoral, habida cuenta del enorme volumen de mercaderías y metales que atravesaban el conocido como "paso del istmo". Ante tales amenazas, la reacción de la Corona fue la de ubicar por la costa todo un conjunto de castillos o fortificaciones destinados a resistir potenciales ataques. En ocasiones estos recintos, por lo general de forma poligonal, eran de dimensiones gigantescas disponiendo de glacis, baluartes, baterías, contraescarpas, etc. con diversos ángulos y miles de varas de perímetro. The bilateral Social Security agreement signed between Spain and Ukraine

La Seguridad Social convencional implica un conjunto de normas pactadas entre dos o más Estados, dirigidas a evitar que el individuo vea eliminados o reducidos sus derechos, en materia de prestaciones sociales, al cambiar su residencia de uno a otro país, pero sin que ello afecte a la legislación interna de tales Estados. No todos los convenios bilaterales regulan todas las prestaciones, ni con el mismo grado de protección. El Convenio de Seguridad Social suscrito entre España y Ucrania en 1996, como Instrumento bilateral de Seguridad Social de cabecera, es fiel reflejo de lo que los Estados miembros consideran como una de sus competencias en exclusiva: las relaciones con terceros Estados en el ámbito de la Seguridad Social, si bien apreciamos que la soberanía de los Estados no es total pues operan limitaciones comunitarias.Conventional Social Security implies a set of rules agreed between two or more States, aimed at preventing the individual from seeing their rights eliminated or reduced, in terms of social benefits, by changing their residence from one country to another, but without affecting them. to the domestic legislation of such States. Bosques y política naval atlántica: las reformas normativas e institucionales de José Patiño (1717-1736)

Tras las últimas décadas de los Austrias y la Guerra de Sucesión, las armadas españolas decayeron hasta límites que hicieron peligrar las conexiones con los territorios americanos. The bilateral Social Security agreement signed between Spain and Paraguay

El proceso de internalización de la Seguridad Social crece año tras año, y un ejemplo de ello es la firma del Convenio bilateral de Seguridad Social suscrito entre España y Paraguay en 1998. Su validez se extiende a ambos países signatarios, y una vez ratificado en 2006, entra en vigor el 1 de marzo del citado año. Con el mismo, se pretende aprovechar las carreras de seguro o los tiempos de servicio prestados en ambos países con el propósito de poder totalizar periodos, exportar prestaciones, establecer la unicidad de la ley y desarrollar el principio de igualdad de trato. Junto al Acuerdo Administrativo de 2016, conforman el articulado que establece el área de protección de los beneficiarios de los sistemas de Seguridad Social español y paraguayo.The process of internalization of Social Security is growing year after year, and an example of this is the signing of the bilateral Social Security Agreement signed between Spain and Paraguay in 1998.
