Analysis of the role of Arabidopsis class I TCP genes AtTCP7, AtTCP8, AtTCP22, and AtTCP23 in leaf development

TCP family of plant-specific transcription factors regulates plant form through control of cell proliferation and differentiation. This gene family is comprised of two groups, class I and class II. While the role of class II TCP genes in plant development is well known, data about the function of some class I TCP genes is lacking. We studied a group of phylogenetically related class I TCP genes: AtTCP7, AtTCP8, AtTCP22, and AtTCP23. The similar expression pattern in young growing leaves found for this group suggests similarity in gene function. Gene redundancy is characteristic in this group, as also seen in the class II TCP genes. We generated a pentuple mutant tcp8 tcp15 tcp21 tcp22 tcp23 and show that loss of function of these genes results in changes in leaf developmental traits. We also determined that these factors are able to mutually interact in a yeast two-hybrid assay and regulate the expression of KNOX1 genes. To circumvent the issue of genetic redundancy, dominant negative forms with SRDX repressor domain were used. Analysis of transgenic plants expressing AtTCP7-SRDX and AtTCP23-SRDX indicate a role of these factors in the control of cell proliferation

Efecto de la confianza en la lealtad y el eWOM en las comunidades virtuales de marca.

La confianza en la marca y en la Comunidad Virtual de Marca (CVM) pueden contribuir a la generación de lealtad a la marca y eWOM positivo. Sin embargo, no han sido muchos los estudios empíricos que han incluido ambos tipos de confianza en la evaluación de los resultados de las CVM. Por lo tanto, este trabajo tiene como objetivo explorar cómo la confianza en la marca y la confianza en la comunidad influyen en la lealtad y en el eWOM. Para ello se emplearon datos procedentes de una encuesta realizada a usuarios de CVM que fueron analizados mediante la técnica PLS. Los resultados confirman que la confianza en la marca influye en la lealtad y en el eWOM tanto directamente, como indirectamente a través de la confianza en la CVM. Passing to an effective 4D phantom cosmology from 5D vacuum theory of gravity

Starting from a five-dimensional (5D) vacuum theory of gravity where the extra coordinate is considered as noncompact, we investigate the possibility of inducing four-dimensional (4D) phantom scenarios by applying form-invariance symmetry transformations. In particular we obtain phantom scenarios for two cosmological frameworks. In the first framework we deal with an induced 4D de-Sitter expansion and in the second one a 4D induced model where the expansion of the universe is dominated by a decreasing cosmological parameter $\Lambda(t)$ is discussed.Comment: version accepted in Physics Letters

SP-413 Space Settlements: The Influence of Architecture and Engineering in Science Fiction

[SPA] En esta investigación realizaremos análisis a los puntos más relevantes de la publicación Space Settlements, a Design Study de la NASA (1977) junto a los largometrajes de Interstellar (2014), Elysium (2013) y 2001: Una Odisea en el Espacio (1968). Esto dará lugar a las reconstrucciones gráficas de algunas de las colonias espaciales creadas en la ciencia ficción, comparándolas con escalas urbanas reales y tratando de desentrañar la influencia que han tenido en ella el urbanismo, la arquitectura y la ciencia. [ENG] In this research we will analyse the most relevant points about the publication Space Settlements, a Design Study by the NASA (1977) as well as the featurelength films Interstellar (2014), Elysium (2013) and 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968). Olive groves in the province of Jaen in topographical surveys of the Instituto Geográfico y Estadístico (1874-1883)

La província de Jaén és coneguda per la gran extensió que hi ocupa l’oliverar i la importància de la seva producció d’oliva a tot el món. Tanmateix, aquesta situació de monocultiu no es generalitza fins a finals del segle xx i fins al segle XIX no es fan els passos decisius per expandir-lo. Una situació que s’emmarca en l’increment de l’espai cultivat, a causa del creixement de la població, i basat en l’assentament de la societat burgesa i el triomf dels postulats fisiocràtics. En aquest treball s’avança en l’anàlisi de l’augment esmentat des del punt de vista territorial, a partir de la reconstrucció detallada de la localització d’aquest cultiu a finals de la centúria esmentada. Per tot això, s’han utilitzat els aixecaments topogràfics realitzats per l’Instituto Geográfico y Estadístico, ja que es tracta d’una font interessant per la seva precisió i fiabilitat.La provincia de Jaén es conocida por la gran extensión que ocupa el olivar y la importancia de su producción oleícola a escala mundial. Sin embargo, esta situación de monocultivo no se generaliza hasta finales del siglo XX, y es en el XIX cuando se dan los primeros pasos decisivos para su expansión. Una situación que se enmarca en el incremento del espacio cultivado, debido al crecimiento poblacional, y apoyado en el asentamiento de la sociedad burguesa y el triunfo de los postulados fisiocráticos. En este trabajo se avanza en el análisis de ese incremento desde un punto de vista territorial, a partir de la reconstrucción detallada de la localización de este cultivo a finales de dicha centuria. Para ello se han utilizadolos levantamientos topográficos realizados por el Instituto Geográfico y Estadístico, una fuente especialmente interesante por su gran precisión y fiabilidad.La province de Jaén est connue pour la grande étendue couverte d’oliveraies et pour l’importance de sa production d’huile d’olive à l’échelle mondiale. Cependant, cette situation de monoculture ne s’est généralisée qu’à la fin du XXe siècle et c’est au xixe siècle qu’on eu lieu les premières étapes décisives pour son expansion. Cette situation se produit dans le cadre de l’augmentation de la superface cultivée, en raison de la croissance de la population, et elle s’appuie sur la création de la société bourgeoise et le triomphe de les postulats physiocratiques. Ce travail progresse dans l’analyse de cette augmentation d’un point de vue territorial, à partir de la reconstitution minutieuse de l’emplacement de cette culture à la fin de ce siècle. La source utilisée consiste en des levés topographiques réalisés par l’Instituto Geográfico y Estadístico, source intéressante de par leur précision et leur fiabilité.The province of Jaen is known worldwide for its extensive olive growing areas and the importance of its olive oil production. However, the first, decisive steps for the expansion of this monoculture did not occur until the 19th century and would not become widespread until the late 20th century when the cultivated area increased due to population growth and was supported by the establishment of a bourgeois society and the triumph of the physiocratic postulates. This paper contributes to the analysis of this increase from a territorial viewpoint based on a detailed reconstruction of the location of olive crops at the end of this century. To do so, we have used the topographical surveys of the Instituto Geográfico y Estadístico; an interesting source for their precision and reliability

Sobre la crítica del proceso capitalista: su límite, su intervención y sus condiciones de posibilidad

El presente artículo trata de mostrar la evolución que ha sufrido la idea de proceso capitalista de producción desde sus orígenes pasando por la teoría crítica hasta el estado actual en el que se observa un desplazamiento de propuestas acerca de la intervención y las condiciones de posibilidad para la superación de dicho proceso en un marco de contribuciones y de abandono de posturas críticas que han permitido una intercomunicación de pensadores a través del tiempo cada vez más globales. 

The beginnings of tourism in Patzcuaro

El turismo en Pátzcuaro, como actividad económica, tuvo su origen y primer impulso desde finales del siglo XIX, a partir de la puesta en marcha del tramo ferroviario de Morelia a Pátzcuaro, cuando distintos empresarios apostaron por invertir en servicios de hospedaje, alimentación y transporte destinados al turismo. Sin embargo, la inestabilidad de la Revolución Mexicana cortó la inercia del desarrollo turístico. Fue hasta que el General Lázaro Cárdenas del Rio tomó la gubernatura del estado que se implementaron estrategias, se decretaron leyes y se hicieron mejoras en la ciudad, con el objeto de que ésta fuera un foco de atracción para el turismo nacional y extranjero, y que permitiera a la población tener mayores ingresos económicos.Patzcuaro tourism as an economic activity, originated and had its first impulse from the late nineteenth century, from the opening of the railway section of Morelia Patzcuaro, when different entrepreneurs bet to invest in hosting services, food and transportation for tourism. However, the instability of the Mexican Revolution cut the inertia of tourism development. Until General Lazaro Cardenas del Rio took the governorship of the state, strategies were implemented, laws were enacted and improvements were made in the city, in order that this was an attraction for domestic and foreign tourists, and to allow the people have higher incomes

Lázaro Cárdenas, promoter of tourism and art in Pátzcuaro

En este trabajo hacemos una revisión de las gestiones llevadas a cabo por el general Lázaro Cárdenas del Rio en favor del municipio de Pátzcuaro, para que éste aprovechara su potencial turístico en beneficio de sus habitantes. Destacamos cómo fue que el presidente de la República, quien tuvo un especial apego por esta ciudad, además de fortalecer el marco legal para la conservación de su aspecto típico y bellezas naturales, promovió obras de remodelación y mejoramiento de espacios urbanos, ordenó la construcción de monumentos artísticos y la decoración de varios edificios con pintura mural, como un reflejo de la ideología nacionalista de la posrevolución.In this paper we review the actions taken by General Lázaro Cárdenas del Rio in favor of the municipality of Pátzcuaro, so that it can take advantage of its tourist potential for the benefit of its inhabitants. We emphasize how the President of the Republic, who had a special affection for this city, in addition to strengthening the legal framework for the conservation of its typical appearance and natural beauty, promoted works of remodeling and improvement of urban spaces, ordered the construction of artistic monuments and the decoration of several buildings with mural painting, as a reflection of the nationalist ideology of the post‑revolution

Mechanical analysis of Genoa 03 stirling engine

Due to the new technologies development based on renewable sources of energy, in recent years Stirling engines have become very important in the energetic sector. Many of them do not allow the use of fluid lubricants and, thus, the effect of friction losses is important. For this purpose, a mathematical model has been developed based on the force balance in the crankshaft using the pressure distribution in the cylinders. The aim of this work is to characterize the mechanical losses in a Genoa 03 Stirling engine using a numerical model and experimentally via the drag method. The results of this model have been compared with those obtained experimentally on Genoa 03 Stirling engine. In the experimental results, a proportional increase in friction torque due to the average pressure and the speed of the crankshaft is observed. The first of these is caused by an increase of dry friction forces and the second, by the viscous friction between the working fluid and the inner walls of the engine. Also in this paper, irreversible processes in a beta type Stirling engine have been investigated in order to highlight the impact of losses on mechanical power and its performance. This article develops the first study of the mechanical losses of Genoa 03 experimental Stirling engine, which has an output power of 3 kW. Although the model response follows the same trends as the experiments, those simplifications provide errors which become more significant as the engine speed increases.Ministerio de Economía y Competitividad ENE2013-43465-
