Don’t Be Mistaken—This Does Concern You!

In this article, the author attempts to represent the mise abyme effect, when writing a “story within a story.” Instead of showing the two stories of sexual harassment in sport that the author wrote to trigger her students’ reactions to this issue, this article focuses on the experience of one of the students reacting to the two stories and discovering her own personal relationship to sexual harassment in sport. Instead of choosing a linear description charting the sexual harassment or abuse of this student, the author has chosen to represent her story of being an unconscious witness to the abuse a former teammate suffered in the past as a gymnast. The final purpose is to reflect on one’s “possible subtle” involvement in perpetrating sexual harassment in sport

L’assetjament sexual a l’esport: el cas de les estudiants-esportistes del grau de Ciències de l’Activitat Física i l’Esport de Catalunya

Les poques actuacions de sensibilització en els contextos català i espanyol sobre l’existència de l’assetjament sexual a l’esport han tingut lloc durant la darrera dècada, però l’assetjament sexual és encara un tema de recerca poc estudiat. Tanmateix, investigacions en països com Austràlia, Canadà, Dinamarca, Estats Units, Finlàndia Noruega, i Regne Unit demostren que l’assetjament sexual no és un comportament aliè al món de l’esport. Ja el 2007 el COI féu una crida als comitès olímpics nacionals perquè comencessin a treballar i prevenir l’assetjament sexual en l’àmbit esportiu. L’objectiu principal d’aquest estudi, finançat per l’Institut Català de les Dones, és determinar si l’assetjament sexual a l’esport és també present a l’esport català. I, conseqüentment, contribuir a sensibilitzar les organitzacions esportives pertinents per tal que tinguin en compte que l’assetjament sexual que es produeix en contextos esportius és un problema a tractar des de les polítiques esportives del nostre país. Les dades que es presenten en aquest estudi s’han extret de les experiències d’assetjament sexual d’una mostra de 214 estudiants-esportistes de tres universitats catalanes on s’imparteixen estudis de ciències de l’activitat física i l’esport (CAFE). Les dades d’aquest treball mostren nivells d’experiència i de percepció molt diferents segons el tipus de comportament analitzat. Els comportaments percebuts com a més assetjadors són els menys viscuts per les noies estudiants de CAFE de Catalunya. Tanmateix, el treball constata que a l’esport català també hi ha casos d’assetjament sexual. Així, l’assetjament trobat assoleix xifres de fins al 6% d’incidència en alguns dels comportaments

Estudi etnogràfic sobre el nivell de cooperació en un equip de bàsquet infantil

El repte d’aquest estudi etnogràfic és mostrar el nivell de cooperació que es va anar creant en un equip de bàsquet masculí al llarg d’una temporada competitiva. En l’article es descriu com s’ha estudiat la cooperació des de la psicologia esportiva per després, des d’un paradigma constructivista, estudiar-la com un procés de comunicació que es va construint a través de la interacció entre els membres de l’equip. Per analitzar aquest procés de comunicació es parteix d’un perfil d’entrenador que vol promoure la cooperació i amb aquest objectiu utilitza tècniques d’aprenentatge cooperatiu per tal que els seus esportistes participin en les xerrades prepartit, de la mitja part i postpartit. Amb les dades obtingudes de la gravació de veu de les xerrades es realitza una categorització de les intervencions dels membres de l’equip i els resultats mostren que al llarg de la temporada la responsabilitat i l’avaluació de l’equip augmenten i disminueixen les habilitats socials negatives. L’estudi es planteja un segon repte que és mostrar el procés comunicatiu que hi va haver a l’equip i, per aquest motiu, s’escull representar les dades a través de l’escriptura de narratives. La cooperació és un procés dinàmic, maduratiu, contextual i complex, i representar els resultats en format narratiu permet mostrar el procés de construcció.The challenge of this ethnographic study was to show the level of cooperation built up in an under-14 male basketball team during one competitive season. The article starts by describing sports psychology studies on cooperation, and then goes on to study it from a constructivist paradigm as a communication process which is constructed through team members’ interaction. In order to fully analyze this communication process we began with the profile of a coach who wants to promote cooperation and to that end uses cooperative learning techniques to encourage their players to actively participate in the discussions that take place before, during and after the games. With the data collected by recording these discussions we categorized players’ interactions and the results show that over the course of the season the responsibility and the assessment of the team increase and reduce negative social skills. The study tackles a second challenge which is to show the communicative process that took place in the team and for this reason we chose to represent the data through writing narratives. Cooperation is a dynamic, developmental, contextual and complex process and representing the results in a narrative format makes it possible to display the construction process

Produktkalkylering i ett tjänsteföretag : Case Hydrolink Oy Ab

Hydrolink Oy Ab startade som ett företag inom fodertrucks- och pistmaskinsbranschen. Pistmaskinsdelen såldes och man fick därför ledig kapacitet för att gå in i en ny bransch. Båtbranschen, och senare snöskoterbranschen, låg nära till hands på grund av ett stort intresse av ägarna och några av de anställda. Vad kunderna erbjuds där är dockning och förvaring av båtar, försäljning av nya och begagnade båtar och snöskotrar samt reservdelar och all tänkbar service av båtar och snöskotrar. Pälsnäringens goda tider gjorde att fodertruckarna sålde bra, men lönsamheten med båt- och snöskoterverksamheten var inte lika självklar. Därför ville man få reda på lönsamheten för det mest svårundersökta kalkylobjektet, nämligen båt- och skoterservice. I teoridelen av detta lärdomsprov börjar jag med att redogöra för ekonomistyrningens grundbegrepp och fortsätter sedan med att ta upp de vanligaste kalkylmetoderna inom produktkalkylering ur ett allmänt perspektiv. I teoridelens sista del tar jag upp specialregler som gäller produktkalkylering I tjänsteföretag. I empirin räknar jag ut den totala timkostnaden för båt- och skoterservice, vilket jag gör med hjälp av en divisionskalkyl. Innan jag kan göra det identifieras kostnader som ska ingå i produktkalkylen. Resultatet analyseras och olika lösningar för bättre lönsamhet diskuteras. Som grund för mina uträkningar har bokslutet för föregående räkenskapsperiod använts, och för att identifiera kostnader som rör mitt kalkylobjekt har jag använt olika uträkningar och uppskattningar. Resultatet av divisionskalkylen visar att företaget går på vinst för varje såld timme service, men man uppnår just nu inte ägarnas vinstkrav på 10 procent. Som lösning till en ökad lönsamhet borde man satsa på ökad debiteringsgrad bland servicearbetarna med hjälp av någon effektiveringsåtgärd.Hydrolink Oy Ab started out as a company in the food truck and snow groomer business. The snow groomer part of the company was sold and therefore they had free capacity to enter a new business. The boat business, and later snow mobile business, was a natural option because of a great interest from the owners and a few of the employees. The company offer their customers lifting, launching and storage of boats, resale of new and used boats and snow mobiles, as well as spare parts and all kinds of repairs and maintenance of boats and snow mobiles. The sales of the food trucks has been doing great due to a flourishing business but the profitability of the boat- and snow mobile business had not been as self-evident. Therefore the owners wanted to know more about the profitability of the boat and snow mobile services. In the theoretic part of this final thesis I start with theory about some fundamental terms of management accounting and then continue talking about the most important methods of product calculation. The last part of the theory deals with special rules for product calculation in the service sector. In the empirical part of this final thesis I will use the average cost calculation method to find out the cost of one hour boat and snow mobile service. Before this can be done I have to identify costs that will be a part of this calculation. The result will be analyzed and different solutions for an increased profitability discussed. The annual accounts for last count period has been used as a base for my calculation and different calculations, as well as a few estimates has been used for identification of costs that has been included in my average cost calculation. The result of the average cost calculation shows that the company profits from every sold hour of service, but the desired 10 percent profit is not fulfilled at the moment. As a solution for increased profitability I suggest that the company focuses on raising the chargeability through some streamlining measures

Trabajo docente en equipo en evaluación formativa : redes de trabajo y trabajo en red en educación física

Una de las principales características de la docencia universitaria actual es la necesidad de vincularla a la innovación y a la investigación, y a la vez, que ésta sea el resultado de un trabajo colaborativo entre docentes preocupados tanto por una docencia de calidad, como por una implicación cada vez más exhaustiva del alumnado en su propio proceso educativo. Desde las diferentes Universidades los programas de Mejora e Innovación Docente representan el marco de referencia que hace posible la mejora continua de la docencia, dando impulso y apoyo a la innovación docente, y estimulando las actividades de intercambio y experiencias docentes. En este artículo presentamos la experiencia de trabajo docente en equipo vinculada a los estudios de Magisterio de Educación física y Ciencias de la Actividad Física y el Deporte de diferentes universidades catalanas, en torno a la innovación en la evaluación como un proceso formativo y participativoOne of the main characteristics of current university teaching methodology is the necessity to link it with innovation and research.
