Multimedia courseware: Never mind the quality how much will it cost to develop?
This paper evaluates multimedia courseware costing techniques such as the US Airforce Interactive Courseware Method (Golas, 1993), CBT Analyst (Kearsley, 1985), CEAC (Schooley, 1988) and MEEM (Marshall, Samson, Dugard, & Scott, 1994) against the data from ten multimedia courseware developments. The Relative Error and Mean Absolute Relative Error (MARE) are calculated to allow comparison of the different methods

The changes in leaf reflectance of sugar maple seedlings (Acer saccharum Marsh) in response to heavy metal stress
The effects of heavy metal stress on leaf reflectance of sugar maple seedlings (Acer saccharum Marsh) are examined. It is found that sugar maple seedlings treated with anomalous amounts of heavy metals in the rooting medium exhibited an increased leaf reflectance over the entire range of investigated wavelengths, from 475 to 1650 nm. These results conform to those of a previous investigation in the wavelengths from 475 to 660nm, but tend to contradict the previous study in the near infrared wavelengths from 1000 to 1650nm. The differences may possible be due to different water regimes in the two investigations
Entanglement Detection Using Majorization Uncertainty Bounds
Entanglement detection criteria are developed within the framework of the
majorization formulation of uncertainty. The primary results are two theorems
asserting linear and nonlinear separability criteria based on majorization
relations, the violation of which would imply entanglement. Corollaries to
these theorems yield infinite sets of scalar entanglement detection criteria
based on quasi-entropic measures of disorder. Examples are analyzed to probe
the efficacy of the derived criteria in detecting the entanglement of bipartite
Werner states. Characteristics of the majorization relation as a comparator of
disorder uniquely suited to information-theoretical applications are emphasized

On the monotonicity of scalar curvature in classical and quantum information geometry
We study the statistical monotonicity of the scalar curvature for the
alpha-geometries on the simplex of probability vectors. From the results
obtained and from numerical data we are led to some conjectures about quantum
alpha-geometries and Wigner-Yanase-Dyson information. Finally we show that this
last conjecture implies the truth of the Petz conjecture about the monotonicity
