    Get PDF
The author is engaged in a comprehensive, comparative study of the administrative procedure in Ukraine. In our country, there is no mechanism for the functioning of this institution for a number of objective and subjective reasons, which complicates the study. In this regard, the author refers to the doctrinal legislative and historical experience of such countries as the USA and European countries (Germany, France), since these countries have a fundamental and centuries-old history of the process of formation, development and modernization of the administrative procedure at different historical stages. The history creates law. The purpose of the work is to review the evolution of the administrative procedure and identify key historical and political events that triggered the mechanism of the administrative procedure in the above countries. The result of historical and legal research are the doctrinal concepts of scientists, which influenced the further formation and development of the administrative procedure. During the study, the author received unique knowledge that will be helpful not only in expanding the horizons of scientific knowledge, but also applying them during the writing a doctoral dissertation, which will be the first research work of this level in Ukraine

Since the 1980s, a significant decline in the number of breeding populations of the Rook, Corvus frugilegus Linnaeus, 1758, has been observed in many European countries. In Ukraine, this trend has been observed since the late 1990s. In 2021, the conservation status of the Rook in Europe was significantly upgraded — from “LC” (Least Concern) to “VU” (Vulnerable). The analysis of the material of surveys in 1983–1985 and 2021 on the territory of 1850 km² in Kyiv Region showed that during the 35 years, there was a catastrophic decrease in the number of nesting birds, it decreased almost 12 times, from 11,480 pairs in the 1980s to 961 pairs in 2021. In addition, the spatial structure of the distribution of colonies in relation to large arable agricultural land has changed. We suggest that the main reason for these changes is the widespread use of seed treatments with the active ingredient imidacloprid. The use of treated grains for food by birds leads to their death. Since 2018, the countries of the European Union countries have banned the use of insecticides containing imidacloprid on open land

Possible association between corneal infections and contact lenses wearing to correct ametropia in children

Possible association between corneal infections and contact lenses (CLs) wearing of various design to correct ametropia in children was analyzed. Between 2011 and April 2014, 20 children (7 boys, 13 girls) aged 9‑17 years which were diagnosed with traumatic keratitis were admitted to Morozov Children’s Hospital. All patients used CLs (rigid, n = 1; soft, n = 9; orthokeratology, n = 10) to correct ametropia for 6‑48 months. There are pretty strong evidences that CLs (including orthokeratology ones) provide better quality of vision and life as compared with spectacles, reduce myopia progression, and promote better accommodation. However, in spite of these advantages, CLs have disadvantages as well. People who wear CLs may require frequent eye care specialist follow-up due to the higher risk of corneal disorders. Even nearly perfect CL represents a foreign body (especially for a children eye) that may provoke numerous complications including severe ones. With accurate fitting, proper care, and careful monitoring of the cornea, CLs should be safe and effective

Effects of diets high in animal or plant protein on oxidative stress in individuals with type 2 diabetes: a randomized clinical trial

High-protein diet is a promising strategy for diabetes treatment supporting body weight control, improving glycaemic status, cardiovascular risk factors and reducing liver fat. Here, we investigated effects of diets high in animal (AP) or plant (PP) protein on oxidative stress and antioxidant status in individuals with type 2 diabetes (T2DM). 37 obese individuals (age 64.3 ± 1.0 years) with T2DM were randomized to an isocaloric diet (30 energy(E)% protein, 30E% fat and 40E% carbohydrates) rich in AP or PP for 6 weeks. Markers of oxidative and nitrosative stress and antioxidant status in plasma and nitrate/nitrite levels in urine were assessed. Gene expression in subcutaneous adipose tissue (SAT) was analyzed by RNA-Seq and real-time PCR.Both AP and PP diets similarly reduced plasma levels of malondialdehyde (P(AP) = 0.003, P(PP) = 1.6x10(-4)) and protein carbonyls (P(AP) = 1.2x10(-4), P(PP) = 3.0x10(-5)) over 6 weeks. Nitrotyrosine (NT) increased upon both AP and PP diets (PAP = 0.005,PPP = 0.004). SAT expression of genes involved in nitric oxide (NO) and oxidative stress metabolism and urine NO metabolite (nitrate/nitrite) levels were not changed upon both diets. Plasma levels of carotenoids increased upon PP diet, whereas retinol, alpha- and gamma-tocopherol slightly decreased upon both diets. AP and PP diets similarly improve oxidative stress but increase nitrosative stress markers in individuals with T2DM. Mechanisms of the NT regulation upon high-protein diets need further investigation

    Get PDF
Goal of the study: to examine histological changes in the mucosa of patients with clinical remission of ulcerative colitis and compare these changes with endoscopic parameters. Methods: 25 patients with clinical remission of ulcerative colitis underwent fibrocolonoscopy with biopsy and histological assessment of disease activity on the Gebos scale. Due to limited number of observations, it was possible to identify comparable study and control groups only for two parameters: increased eosinophil count and increased density of infiltrate in the mucosa. Results of the study: erosions, cryptitis, hyperplasia of lymphoid structures and infiltration of the intestinal mucosa with neutrophilic leukocyte often observed in the presence of increased eosinophil count in the mucosa and/or increased density of the cellular infiltrate. Conclusion: increased eosinophil count and/or increased density of the cellular infiltrate in the mucosa often accompanied by other signs of lack of the mucosa healing. Confirmation of complete remission of the disease requires histological control for exclusion of the inflammation signs
