O estado da arte dos estudos sobre sujeitos nulos, posições de sujeito e marcas flexionais

This text presents an overview of the studies on null subjects, subject positions, and flexional morphology, within generative grammar. The discussion will be restricted to specifc problems in this feld. The frst one is the parametric question itself and the typology of the null subjects, given the existence of languages that allow some types of null subjects only. A second question concerns the subject positions available in the sentences and the analysis to be offered to null subjects in general. Aumentar a sustentabilidade na reabilitação : caso de uma habitação unifamiliar de Custos controloados

Dissertação de mestrado em Engenharia Civil (área de especialização em Materiais, Reabilitação e Sustentabilidade na Construção)A reabilitação do património construído, em locais onde existe já um excedente de construção nova, é uma das formas através da qual a construção pode ter uma acção mais consciente sobre o planeta, que carece de soluções rápidas e eficazes para que se mantenha “verde e azul”, pois pode contribuir para a redução de ocupação de solo virgem e dos recursos materiais e, consequentemente, para a diminuição do custo económico e das carências sociais. Neste sentido, a reabilitação de edifícios no sector residencial, em meios sociais desfavorecidos, é uma solução mais vantajosa, o que justifica a escolha deste tipo de acção por parte de organizações, com é o caso da Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI). O tema deste trabalho deseja demonstrar que é possível obter, no âmbito de um projecto de reabilitação de uma habitação unifamiliar de custos controlados, dentro do programa da HFHI, não só uma beneficiação social e económica, mas também uma beneficiação ao nível ambiental maior. O contributo do presente trabalho passou assim inicialmente pelo desenvolvimento de uma ferramenta que permitiu, por um lado, quantificar e gerir o destino dos materiais e sistemas construtivos existentes, com o intuito principal de os valorizar, ainda que com uma nova função, proporcionando assim a sua reutilização, e por outro, funcionar como suporte para a concepção de um projecto de reabilitação sustentável, no qual foram estabelecidos também novos materiais, mais amigos do ambiente e aplicadas soluções eco‐eficientes passivas para a fase de utilização do edifício. A última etapa do trabalho incidiu na avaliação do nível de sustentabilidade – utilizando a ferramenta SBTool 07 – do projecto realizado, ao qual se designou de Modelo A ‐ Reabilitação Sustentável ‐ e de um projecto fictício, ao qual se designou de Modelo B ‐ Reabilitação Convencional ‐ para verificação de que é realmente possível obter uma reabilitação sustentável a custos controlados, objecto deste estudo, face às reabilitações convencionais.rehabilitation of the built patrimony, in places where already exists a surplus of new construction, is one of the means through which the construction can have a more conscious action on the planet, that lacks fast and effective solutions to be kept "green and blue", since it can contribute to keep a low occupation of virgin soil reducing the use of material resources and, consequently, contribute to the decrease of the economical cost and social scarcity. In this sense, the rehabilitation of buildings in the residential sector in poor social regions, is a more advantageous solution that justifies the choice of this kind of action by organizations such as Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI). The main issue of this work is to demonstrate that it is possible to obtain, in the extent of a project of rehabilitation of a house of controlled costs, inside of the program of HFHI, is, not only a social and economic improvement, but also an enhancement at a wider environmental level. The contribution of the present work went trough the development of a tool that allowed, on one side, to quantify and to manage the destiny of the materials and existent constructive systems, with the main intention of valuing themselves, although with a new function, providing, in this way, its reutilization and, on other side, to act as a support for the conception of a sustainable rehabilitation project, in which were also established new and more environmental friendly materials and applied echo‐efficient solutions for the moment of the building utilization. The last stage of the work focused in the evaluation of the sustainability level – using the tool SBTool 07 – of the accomplished project, which was designated by Model A – Sustainable Rehabilitation ‐ and of a fictitious project, designated by Model B ‐ Conventional Rehabilitation – to verify that it is really possible to obtain a maintainable rehabilitation at controlled costs, main object of this study, face to the conventional rehabilitations

Understanding drop spreading behaviour on WC-10wt%Co cutting tools – an experimental and numerical study

WC-Co cutting tools performance under demanding cutting conditions largely depend on the efficiency of the cutting fluid, mainly its ability to remove heat and reduce friction, both highly dependent on the wettability and drop spreading behaviour of the fluid. In this context, this study focuses on the spreading behaviour of machining cutting fluid and water in WC-10 wt%Co cutting tools surface. Contact angles were experimentally measured and then used for performing numerical simulations by the level set method. A contact angle of 75.3˚ and 92.8˚ were measured for the machining cutting fluid and distilled water, respectively, and coincident values were found by numerical simulation, as well as a strong agreement in the drop shape. It was also possible to observe that machining cutting fluid has a lower spreading time than water, due to a lower contact angle and higher viscous dissipation, allowing to reach equilibrium phase sooner. Also, the machining cutting fluid presents a higher drop radius than water, meaning a 24.2% contact area increase over 50 ms of spreading time. Furthermore, numerical simulation showed that the drops spreading over the capillary-inertial time, at the early stage of spreading, follow an exponential dependency with a spreading factor of approximately t1/2, which indicates that the initial spreading of both drops is driven and controlled by the balance between inertial and capillary forces. This work intends to contribute to the knowledge on the phenomena that drive the drop spreading behaviour on WC-10 wt%Co cutting tools, being the development of numerical models to predict this behaviour of utmost importance, since it can lead to the development of novel surface improved tools, with an enhanced lubrification effect and heat removal capacity closer to the cutting zone during machining processes, and consequently allowing an improvement in the tribological and cutting performance of these toolspublishe

ISBN 978-1-4503-2945-3We present a mixed-reality interface, in which a carrousel-like platform carries a set of wooden figures from the physical world into a game running inside a tablet, bringing them back to the physical world again by further rotating the platform. The wooden figurines allow young children to manipulate and play with them, working at the same time as characters of a game. Colheita, armazenamento e qualidade de sementes cultivadas em roças do Bairro da Serra – Iporanga – SP.

Esse trabalho verificou as técnicas de colheita e armazenamento das variedades locais cultivadas nas roças de agricultores do Bairro da Serra - Iporanga/SP. Identificando a influência dessas técnicas na qualidade das sementes. A base da metodologia foi conhecimento do agricultor, por meio de entrevistas semi-estruturadas e abertas. Para sementes coletadas foram realizados teste de germinação, teor de água e massa de mil sementes. As informações obtidas foram analisas por meio de relatórios descritivos e análise descritiva. Os agricultores estudados têm profundo conhecimento das espécies de plantas que cultivam nas roças, ainda existindo elementos que os caracterizam no sistema de campesinato. Conseguem manter a qualidade das sementes de acordo com seus interesses, pois o objetivo é a subsistência da família e a conservação do recurso genético das etnovariedades
