Manifestation of geometric resonance in current dependence of AC susceptibility for unshunted array of Nb-AlOx-Nb Josephson junctions

A pronounced resonance-like structure has been observed in the current dependence of AC susceptibility for two-dimensional array of unshunted Nb-AlOx-Nb Josephson junctions. Using a single-plaquette approximation, we were able to successfully fit our data assuming that resonance structure is related to the geometric (inductive) properties of the array.Comment: to appear in Physica C (in press

Universal R-C crossover in current-voltage characteristics for unshunted array of overdamped Nb-AlO_x-Nb Josephson junctions

We report on some unusual behavior of the measured current-voltage characteristics (CVC) in artificially prepared two-dimensional unshunted array of overdamped Nb-AlO_x-Nb Josephson junctions. The obtained nonlinear CVC are found to exhibit a pronounced (and practically temperature independent) crossover at some current I_{cr}=\left(\frac{1}{2\beta_C}-1\right)I_C from a resistance R dominated state with V_R=R\sqrt{I^2-I_C^2} below I_{cr} to a capacitance C dominated state with V_C=\sqrt{\frac{\hbar}{4eC}} \sqrt{I-I_C} above I_{cr}. The origin of the observed behavior is discussed within a single-plaquette approximation assuming the conventional RSJ model with a finite capacitance and the Ambegaokar-Baratoff relation for the critical current of the single junction

The area of Gunung Bawang Protected Forest has diverse natural resources. One of them is the potential ornamental plant. This research aims to reveal the diversity of plants that could potentially be ornamental plants in the area of Gunung Bawang Protected Forest. This research was conducted with a survey method by taking sample plots of Wittaker 20 x 50 m as many as 10 plots of observation. Based on the research, the area of Gunung Bawang Protected  Forest had 23 species of plants that could potentially be ornamental plants, namely Caladiuim sp, Cordiglotti sfiliformis, Drynaria sparsisora, Appendicula torta, Alocasiaplumbea ”white’’, Liparis compressa, Bulboppylum sp, Thecopus sp, Thecostele sp, Bulbophyllum lobii, Dendrobium smithiaanum, Phalaenopsis sp, Coelogyne foerstermannii, Asplenium nidus, Oberonia ciliolata, Hermamolena sp, Alocasia inornata, Alocasia sp, Alocasia ‘’tigrina superba’’, Anthurium sp, Alocasia culionensis, Flickingeria sp dan Spathoglottis plicata. There needs to be improvement of knowledge and awareness among the community about the existence and spesies of plants thet potentially become ornamental plants, because it is one of the sources of germ plasm so as to ensure its sustainability. This paper describes the preparation and the photoelectrochemical performances of visible light driven photoanodes based on novel r-GO/-Cu2V2O7/TiO2 nanorods/composites. -Cu2V2O7 was deposited on both fluorine doped tin oxide (FTO) and TiO2 nanorods (NRs)/FTO by a fast and convenient Aerosol Assisted Spray Pyrolysis (AASP) procedure. Ethylenediamine (EN), ammonia and citric acid (CA) were tested as ligands for Cu2+ ions in the aerosol precursors solution. The best-performing deposits, in terms of photocurrent density, were obtained when NH3 was used as ligand. When -Cu2V2O7 was deposited on the TiO2 NRs a good improvement in the durability of the photoanode was obtained, compared with pure -Cu2V2O7 on FTO. A further remarkable improvement in durability and photocurrent density was obtained upon addition, by electrophoretic deposition, of reduced graphene oxide (r-GO) flakes on the -Cu2V2O7/TiO2 composite material. The samples were characterized by X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS), Raman, High Resolution Transmission Electron Microscopy (HR-TEM), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Wide Angle X-ray Diffraction (WAXD) and UV\u2013Vis spectroscopies. The photoelectrochemical (PEC) performances of -Cu2V2O7 on FTO, -Cu2V2O7/TiO2 and r-GO/-Cu2V2O7/TiO2 were tested in visible light by linear voltammetry and Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS) measurements

According to the latest update of the United Nations World Tourism Organization in 2012, more than 980 million people travelled internationally. Only the United States international receipts surpassed 1 trillion dollars in 2012. One of the most important tools to understand better this intercultural context is to understand intercultural competence. This competence, already defined by researchers as an ability to communicate and behave in appropriate ways to those who are culturally different has thus become one of the crucial skills and competencies in the modern globalized world and it has a special meaning for the world of hospitality industry. The main purpose of this project is to investigate how aware are the students of RIT Croatia of the importance of intercultural competence in order to investigate how aware are the students of RIT Croatia of the potential misunderstandings in cross cultural communication, motivations and abilities
