Cracking of Charged Polytropes with Generalized Polytropic Equation of State

We discuss the occurrence of cracking in charged anisotropic polytropes with generalized polytropic equation of state through two different assumptions; (i) by carrying out local density perturbations under conformally flat condition (ii) by perturbing anisotropy, polytropic index and charge parameters. For this purpose, we consider two different definitions of polytropes exist in literature. We conclude that under local density perturbations scheme cracking does not appears in both types of polytropes and stable configuration are observed, while with second kind of perturbation cracking appears in both types of polytropes under certain conditions.Comment: 24 pages, 11 figure

In this paper, we study the cracking of compact object PSR J1614-2230 in quadratic regime with electromagnetic field. For this purpose, we develop a general formalism to determine the cracking of charged compact objects. We apply the local density perturbations to the hydrostatic equilibrium equation as well as all the physical variables involve in the model. We plot the force distribution function against radius of the star with different values of model parameters both with and without charge. It is found that PSR J1614-2230 remains stable (no cracking) corresponding to different values of parameters when charge is zero, while it exhibit cracking (unstable) when charge is introduced. We conclude that stability region increases as amount of charge increases.Comment: 21 pages, 8 figures, version to appear in advances in high energy physic

Study of polytropes with Generalized polytropic Equation of State

The aim of this paper is to discuss the theory of Newtonian and relativistic polytropes with generalized polytropic equation of state. For this purpose, we formulated the general framework to discuss the physical properties of polytrops with anisotropic inner fluid distribution under conformally flat condition in the presence of charge. We investigate the stability of these polytrops in the vicinity of generalized polytropic equation through Tolman-mass. It is concluded that one of the derived models is physically acceptable.Comment: 21 pages, 3 figure

Three applications of augmented reality technologies in structural engineering education

    Get PDF
In technology terms, a real environment or personal space that is altered with digital media, such as images, is termed Augmented Reality (A.R.). From 2020 onwards, the next big thing in the technology sector will be A.R. The purpose of the current paper was to get ahead of the technology curve and develop applications of A.R. which could be used within structural engineering education both now and in the future. Three applications are presented. The first was a walking map/tour of Manchester and its buildings and bridges, whereby, at each stop, the tour is augmented with explanatory videos showing, amongst other things, structural load paths superimposed onto the actual structure. The second application was a structural engineering laboratory exercise that was augmented with videos explaining how to set up and use the apparatus from start to finish. The intention was to replace Lecturer/Technician assistance and make the exercise self-supporting. The final application used 360° video footage of a real construction site that was augmented with H&S/C.D.M. information. A unique 360° media suite at the University of Salford was used to display the video footage, which aided group work and also had a gaming element to the exercise whereby an X-box style controller was used to ‘point and shoot’ at perceived hazards and, if correct, pop ups would be revealed which would give mitigation measures and C.D.M. information. Quantative and qualitative means were used to measure the effectiveness of each application, with the general conclusion that further and continual refinement of the A.R. content would enhance effectiveness. There were no qualitative comments on the effectiveness of the technology, which implies that participants had few concerns about using the technology. There is promising potential of applying A.R. in structural engineering education in the future

Development of complexity induced frameworks for charged cylindrical polytropes

The main theme of this work is the development of complexity induced generalized frameworks for static cylindrical polytropes. We consider two different definitions of generalized polytopes with charged anisotropic inner fluid distribution. A new methodology based on complexity factor for the generation of consistent sets of differential equations will be presented. We conclude our work by carrying out graphical analysis of developed frameworks.Comment: 21 pages, 6 figure

Evaluasi Kinerja DAS dan Simulasi Konservasi Menggunakan Swat (Soil And Water Assessment Tool) Studi Kasus : Sub DAS Tapung, Siak, Provinsi Riau)

Alteration of land use which is happening at Tapung watershed (DAS Tapung) is worrying. Marked by the decreasing of forest area from 15.624,36 ha at 2002 to 12.186,32 ha at 2012. Evaluation of watershed condition and performance is needed. Evaluation using (i) Percentage of critical land (PLK) (ii) Percentage of vegetation cover (PPV) (iii) Coefficient regim of flow(KRA) (iv) Coannual of flow (KAT) efficient criteria. Evaluation result of PLK is 9,82%, PPV 71,6%, KRA 14,28 and KAT 0,45. After receiving existing evaluation value, conservation simulation using SWAT program is done by changing a part of open land area and shrub on land use map of 2012 with forest. From simulation result, SWAT model validity parameter R2 is 0,50 and NSE 0,50. These result have satisfied the research objectives as the finding coefficient were > R2 0,4 and >NSE 0,35 From this simulation, watershed condition is evaluated again. Evaluation result after doing conservation simulation are PLK 6,47, PPV 71,6, KRA 5,78, and KAT 0,44. Values after conservation simulation gives better result than the condition before conservation simulation is done

Audio Encryption Framework Using the Laplace Transformation

    Get PDF
Digital information, especially multimedia and its applications, has grown exponentially in recent years. It is important to strengthen sophisticated encryption algorithms due to the security needs of these innovative systems. The security of real-time audio applications is ensured in the present study through a framework for encryption. The design framework protects the confidentiality and integrity of voice communications by encrypting audio applications. A modern method of securing communication and protecting data is cryptography. Using cryptography is one of the most important techniques for protecting data and ensuring the security of messaging. The main purpose of this paper is to present a novel encryption scheme that can be used in real-time audio applications. We encrypt the sound using a combination of an infinite series of hyperbolic functions and the Laplace transform, and then decrypt it using the inverse Laplace transform. The modular arithmetic rules are used to generate the key for the coefficients acquired from the transformation. There is no loss of data or noise in the decryption sound. We also put several sound examples to the tes

Structural analysis of marine composite propeller by using FEM and determination of optimal stacking sequence by GA

There is an increasing interest in the marine industry to use composites to improve the hydrodynamic and structural performance of naval structures. The materials used within the composite are commercially available, and it is important the development of the right mix of fibers, resin and laminate lay-up that provide the desired mechanical and environmental performance for marine application. In this paper, to improve the stiffness and control the geometry of the blades of a marine propeller made of carbon/epoxy genetic algorithm to determination of optimal stacking Sequence is used. This method will minimize the deformation of tip blades. The optimization process has executed by linking ABAQUS and MATLAB software. Optimal angles of blade propeller obtained by using this process

Evidence of reproductive isolation confirms that Apis andreniformis (Smith, 1858) is a separate species from sympatric Apis florea (Fabricius, 1787).

The species Apis andreniformis (Smith, 1858), the small dwarf honey bee of South-east Asia, is recognized as a valid biological species. This recognition is based on distinctive endophallus characteristics in comparison with sympatric Apis florea (Fabricius, 1787). Additionally, scanning electron microscope images of drone basitarsi are presented, as are preliminary comparisons of wing venation
