Low Frequency Waves Due to He+ as Observed by the Ulysses Spacecraft

We surveyed magnetic field data from the Ulysses spacecraft and found examples of magnetic waves with characteristics that point to excitation by newborn pickup He+. With interstellar neutrals as the likely source for the pickup ions, we have modeled the ion production rates and used them to produce wave excitation rates that we compare to the background turbulence rates. The source ions are thought to be always present, but the waves are seen when growth rates are comparable to or exceed the turbulence rates. With the exception of the fast latitude scans, and unlike the waves excited by newborn interstellar pickup H+, the waves are seen throughout the Ulysses orbit. Організація ремісничої освіти у Волинському воєводстві в 1920–1930-х роках (The education of craftmen and its organization of the Volhynian Voivodeship, 1921-1939)

У статті розглядається організація ремісничої освіти на території Волинського воєводства у 20-30-х рр. ХХ ст. Охарактеризовано ремісничо-промислові школи, школи-майстерні, школи професійного вдосконалення, а також професійні курси, на яких навчали ремісничій справі. Детально проаналізовано умови прийняття на навчання і укладання угоди про навчання. Розглянуто систему складання іспитів на отримання звання челядника і майстра. Відзначається, що у досліджуваний період ремісникам, які тільки починали свою фахову діяльність у якій-небудь галузі ремесла, необхідно було обов’язково пройти навчання ремеслу і отримати відповідне свідоцтво. У статті зроблено висновок про те, що ремісниче навчання на території Волинського воєводства у міжвоєнний період було розгалуженим і на своєму шляху зустрічалося з великою кількістю труднощів. (The article is devoted to the state of teaching handicraft and its organization of the Volhynian Voivodeship in the 1920–1930-s. The author characterizes handicraft-industrial schools, schools-workshops, schools of work-manship and professional courses where craftsmen were taught, and thoroughly analyzes the conditions of access to the schools and the teaching agreement concluded by the sides. The system of exams and awarding the status of an apprentice and master are considered. The author states that during the period considered in the article, a craftsman who only started his work or worked in any branch of handicraft had to study the craft and get a certain certificate. The author makes a conclusion, that teaching handicraft on the territory of the Volhynian Voivodeship in the 1920–1930-s. was complicated and faced many difficulties.

Напрямки еміграції українців з Волинського воєводства в 1921-1939 рр. (Emigration Destinations of the Ukrainians from Volyn Province in 1921-1939)

Тези розкривають причини, напрями та наслідки еміграції українців з Волинського воєводства у 1921-1939 рр. Складне економічне становище, зацікавленість польської влади в еміграції українців як дієвого способу зменшення напруги у соціально-політичному житті краю сприяли активному виїзду українського населення. До цього долучалася також позитивна імміграційна політика США, Канади, країн Південної Америки, що сприяла переїзду до них українських переселенців. Окремо висвітлено питання тяжких матеріальних умов перебування емігрантів у чужому соціокультурному середовищі протягом перших років після поселення. (The paper explores reasons, destinations and consequences of emigration of the Ukrainians from Volyn province in 1921-1939. Economic recession and the interest of Polish authorities who regarded emigration of the Ukrainians as an effective way to reduce tensions in social and political life encouraged the active departure of the Ukrainian population. Moreover, positive immigration policy of the USA, Canada, and countries of South America also stimulated the immigration of Ukrainian migrants. The author reveals the question of hard material conditions of emigrants in the foreign social and cultural environment during the first years after the settlement.

Законодавче регулювання діяльності ремісничих цехів у Волинському воєводстві в 1921-1939 рр. (Legislative regulation of guilds’ activity in Volhyn during the 1921-1939)

Стаття присвячена правовим нормам функціонування ремісничих цехів на території Волинського воєводства в міжвоєнний період. На основі аналізу нормативно-правових актів, виданих із 1927 по 1939 р., досліджено питання пов’язані з організацією та ліквідацією цехів, їх фінансуванням та управлінням. Висвітлено особливості державного контролю над ремісничими цехами. (The article shows the most important data on craftsmen’s associations in the Second Polish Republic under the new unified industry law, introduced in 1927. Describes basic formal and legal rules conditioning the functioning of such voluntary associations. It is source-based, focuses on the analysis of national legal acts issued from 1927 to 1939. Discusses the context for the introduction of the unified industry law; analyses legal acts related to the creation of a guild statute. Shows guilt responsibility, rules for establishing guild districts, or the territories the associations would operate on. The issue of guild membership is discussed in detail. Analyzes guild organizational structure, the division of responsibilities and activities specific for the members’ assembly, assisting functionaries, the governing body, the arbitration court. Presents the guild finances; a legal status of guilds; the problem of state supervision; voluntary and obligatory guild liquidation rules.

РЕМЕСЛО У ВОЛИНСЬКОМУ ВОЄВОДСТВІ В 1921-1939 РР. (The handicraft in the Volyn province in 1921 – 1939)

На основі різних історичних джерел дається характеристика ремесла і ремісничого виробництва в 1921 – 1939 роках на території Волинського воєводства. Робиться аналіз за- конодавчої бази 1920 – 1930-х років, які відображають основні аспекти діяльності ремесла і ремісничого виробництва. Докладно описуються умови ведення ремесла і ремісничого виробництва у Волинському воєводстві в 1921 – 1939 роках. Характеризуються найбільш розвинені на території Волинського воєводства ремісничі спеціальності. Наголошується, що у досліджуваний період ремесло на території Волинського воєводства розвивалася досить слабко, а більшість ремісничих виробів йшли переважно на місцевий ринок. (The article is devoted to the development of the handicraft and craft industry in the Volyn province in 1921 – 1939. The research is built on numerous historic and archival documents. An author analyzes handicraft legislature of 1920 – 1930, particularly handicraft acts that regulated the main aspects of handicraft and craft industry in Volyn province in 1921 – 1939, describes in details the handicraft and craft industry conditions in Volyn province in 1921 – 1939. The author also characterizes the most developed handicrafts in the Volyn province. It is emphasized that handicraft in the Volyn province in 1921 – 1939 had transitional form (between cottage craft and factory industry) and was poorly developed. The majority of manufactured goods were aimed at the local market.

Структура купецьких торговельних закладів волинського воєводства в 1921–1939 роках (Structure of the merchant institutions of the volhynian voivodeship 1921-1939)

На основі даних офіційної статистики дається характеристика структури купецьких торговельних закладів в 1921–1939 роках на території Волинського воєводства. Характеризуються чисельність, етнічний склад волинського купецтва, структура торговельних закладів Волинського воєводства. Наголошується, що у досліджуваний період торгівля у Волинському воєводстві зосереджувалася в руках євреїв, а більшість торговельних закладів були сконцентровані у містах і містечках краю. (On the basis of official statistics, an analysis of the trade institutions’ structure within the territory of Volhynian Voivodeship in 1921-1939 is given. Article characterizes the number, ethnic composition of the Volyn merchant class, structure of the trade establishments of Volhynian Voivodeship. Emphasized that during the exploring period, trade in the Volhynian Voivodeship was led by Jews and the majority of trade establishments were located in the cities and towns of the province.

ANALYSIS OF THE CHEMICAL COMPOSITION OF CHAROITE ROCKS

The unique charoite mineralization, established on the Murun alkaline massif in the northwestern part of the Aldan shield on the border of the Irkutsk region and Yakutia, is still of great interest to some of researchers (geologists, crystallographers, geochemists, etc.).
