Curvularia linata as bioherbicide for management of Xanthium strumarium L., an abnoxious weed - A Critical Evualation

    Get PDF
Xanthium strumarium L. is an exotic plant responsible for several agricultural, environmental and health problems in India. Due to non-acceptability of conventional methods of control, the possibilities of its management through an indigenous strain of Curvularia lunata had been explored. In the present study, the organism was recovered in pure culture from the infected/infested parts of the weed, seedling and detached leaf bioassays were employed to evaluate the effect of different epidemiological factors on efficacy of mycoherbicidal agent. Significant effect on herbicidal potential of C. lunata was recorded when subjected to different conditions. Maximum efficacy of the pathogen was observed at 30°C, 80% RH, 2-3 leaves stage when sprayed @ of 4.5 x 105 Sp. /ml. The present study experimentally emphasizes on the development of Curvularia lunata as a mycoherbicide in the management of the weed, Xanthium strumarium L

    SC-FDM-IDMA Scheme Employing BCH Coding

    Get PDF
In OFDM-IDMA scheme, intersymbol interference (ISI) is resolved by the OFDM layer and multiple access interference (MAI) is suppressed by the IDMA layer at low cost . However OFDM-IDMA scheme suffers high peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) problem. For removing high PAPR problem a hybrid multiple access scheme SC-FDM-IDMA has been proposed. In this paper, bit error rate (BER) performance comparison of SC-FDM-IDMA scheme, OFDM-IDMA scheme and IDMA scheme have been duly presented.  Moreover, the BER performance of various subcarrier mapping methods for SC-FDM-IDMA scheme as well as other results with variation of different parameters have also been demonstrated. Finally simulation result for BER performance improvement has been shown employing BCH code. All the simulation results demonstrate the suitability of SC-FDM-IDMA scheme for wireless communication under AWGN channel environment

    Get PDF
The present study mainly examines the growth rate of publications in the field of Pathogen research in India during the period of 2008-2017. The study based on Scopus databases and using scientometric tools. It reveals that a total 13070 of publications were published from the marked period of study. our analysis includes the year wise publications output, annual growth rate, compound annual growth rate, relative growth rate and doubling time, most productive authors, documents wise distribution of publications etc., and found that the maximum 1925 (14.73%) of research papers were published in the year 2016, followed by 1896 (14.51%) of publication in 2017. The maximum 36.541 annual growth rate was recorded in the year 2011, and 0.1189 CAGR was recorded in the year 2009. The maximum RGR 0.82 was recorded in the year 2009, and the highest doubling time 4.414 was recorded in the year 2017. The highest 69 publications were contributed by Dhama, K. and the maximum 10909 documents were ‘Article’ type

Approaches to Impose e-penalty Using Vahan Smart Card for Improving Road and Transport Safety with the Help of ICT: An E-Governanace Endeavour

    Get PDF
AbstractWith the help of information communication technology (ICT) and computer science, an effective e-Governance should provide an efficient solution for the offenders, who violate the traffic rules and cause unnatural deaths due to breaking of signals or rash driving in INDIA. Many Government Plans have been executed and running successfully like VAHAN and SARATHI related to transportation. This paper proposed some approaches to penalize the offenders electronically and automatically, who violate the traffic rules on road. Penalty can be imposed on offenders using EPS and Vahan Smart Card with the help of RFID and a software flow with wired and wireless e-centre architecture and hybrid approaches

The Task Allocation Model In Communication Channel Delay

    Get PDF
In this paper a heuristics approach for task allocation in a distributed computing system has been discussed. This performs static allocation and provide near optimal results. The suggested algorithm is coded in Mat Lab and implemented on a Dual Core machine and found the performance of the developed algorithm is satisfactory

Cubic B-spline collocation method for coupled system of ordinary differential equations with various boundary conditions

    Get PDF
This paper is concerned with collocation approach using cubic B-spline to solve coupled system of boundary value problems with various boundary conditions. The collocation equations are methodically derived using cubic B splines, for problems with Dirichlet data and an iterative method with assured convergence is described to solve the resulting system of algebraic equations. Problems with Cauchy or mixed boundary condition have been converted into series of Dirichlet problems using the bisection method. Nonlinear problem is linearized using quasilinearization to be handled by our method. Fourth order equation is converted into a coupled second order equations and solved by the proposed method . Several illustrative examples are presented with their error norms and order of convergence.Publisher's Versio
