Antibacterial Activity of Moroccan Saffron By-product Extracts against Clavibacter michiganensis subsp. michiganensis: The Causal Agent of Tomato’s Bacterial Canker
This study aimed to investigate the effect of Moroccan saffron (Crocus sativus) floral by-products on the causal agent of bacterial canker of tomato caused by Clavibacter Michiganesis subsp Michiganesis (CMM). This work intends to replace chemical treatment methods with ecological, safe, and less expensive methods using extracts of saffron by-products. The phytochemical screening and the antioxidant activity of saffron by-products were studied. Moreover, the antibacterial activity of ethanolic extracts of saffron by-products was determined using the agar well diffusion method. The minimum inhibitory concentrations (MIC) of the saffron by-product extracts were determined by the dilution method using 96-well microplates. The results showed that the ethanolic extracts of saffron by-products constitute a significant source of bioactive molecules endowed with antioxidant activity. Further, all the tested saffron extracts inhibited the bacterial growth of (CMM) with an inhibition zone diameter ranging from 3 to 31 mm. Thus, this study aimed to valorize the saffron by-products generated after the harvest of the stigmas, in the biological treatment of tomato diseases
Transformations of the cultural values of the Tafilalet Oasis community
The subject of this research paper deals with the problem of value transformations in the Tafilalet Oasis community, by identifying the specificity of the field through the changes occurring within the oasis while standing at the most prominent of these transformations, and how they can impose their own values. Is the nature of the field imposed on it? Or did the developments of capitalist societies eat away at the oasis society? Keywords: Change - Values - Culture - Oasis - Tafilalet. Contribution to developing a new environmental risk management methodology for industrial sites
A fundamental requirement of any environmental management system for industrial sites is the identification and assessment of risk. To meet international standards in terms of environmental protection and preservation, industrial sites should ensure that a comprehensive environmental risk management process is in place by systematically identifying and managing risks arising from internal and external factors. The purpose of this study was to develop a new methodology to determine the significance of environmental hazardous situations associated with a process or activity. It uses qualitative or quantitative techniques to pinpoint weaknesses in design, operation, and lines of defense provided by engineering and administrative controls, which can lead to an environmentally hazardous event. It may also provide an assessment of risk resulting from the magnitude of the consequence and the probability of the environmental event occurring. The fundamental principle of this new risk-based hazard methodology is that whilst risk cannot be eliminated, it should be possible to reduce to ALARP (as low as reasonably practicable), and the environmental risk matrix could be a useful tool for establishing if an environmental risk rating is tolerable or not based on the likelihood and consequences. The outcome of this study is developing a new environmental risk matrix based on different consequences (health, environmental, reputation, and business interruption) with likelihood criteria. This matrix could be applied by industrial sites to identify and control their environmental risks
Note on Square Neutrosophic Fuzzy Matrices
In this article, we shall define the addition and multiplication of two neutrosophic fuzzy matrices. Thereafter, some properties of addition and multiplication of these matrices are also put forward
Semiderivations Satisfying Certain Algebraic Identities on Jordan Ideals
Let be a ring. An additive mapping is called semiderivation of if there exists an endomorphism of such that and , for all in . Here we prove that if is a 2-torsion free -prime ring and a nonzero -Jordan ideal of such that for all , then either is commutative or for all . Moreover, we initiate the study of generalized semiderivations in prime rings
Chitin/Chitosan’s Bio-Fertilizer: Usage in Vegetative Growth of Wheat and Potato Crops
This chapter consists of valuing the chitosan to create bio-fertilizers as fertilizers without going through the composting process because of their richness in the nutrient base elements of plants: nitrogen and phosphorus. Physicochemical analyses of the chitosan focused on pH, dry matter, organic matter, nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium as well as IR and XRD. The samples thus prepared were monitored for 15 days. PH, temperature and conductivity were monitored daily. According to the physicochemical analyses of waste (nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium) and the nutritional needs of our selected crop (soft wheat, Arrehane variety which are 90-90-50 U/ha), several doses are then determined for the purpose of the optimal formula after their application on the crop. An application of bio-fertilizer on the potato was also undertaken. Follow-ups were carried out during this study, such as the monitoring of the vegetative growth of wheat and the mineralization of the soil via its physicochemical analyses. The results show that our bio-fertilizer is rich in nitrogen with 4.98% and phosphorus with 1.42% and mineralizes quickly on the ground while leaving the soft wheat to absorb its nutrients effectively and improving its growth properties, then giving good yields
Observation Inhabituelle d'Inversion utérine puerpérale chronique: An unusual case of chronic puerperal uterine inversion
The puerperal uterine inversion is a rare and seriouscomplication occurring in the third stage of obstetricaldelivery. Chronic forms are unusual and often related toacute or subacute past unnoticed case or incompletelyreduced. It poses a problem of differential diagnosis withsome benign or malignant diseases which may lead totherapeutic errors. The clinical presentation is misleading, made of chronic pain and minimal bleeding, imaging confirms the diagnosis of inversion, and the treatment is conservative or radical surgery depending on the degree of intussusception and its chronicity. Authors reported an unusual case of chronic puerperal uterine inversion. Diagnosis and therapeutic difficulties are also described.
The Didactic Balance: Simulation and Experimentation
In this era of technological progress, the educational games have recently generated a new field of research, at the crossroads of the didactic and the educational engineering. In a previous paper, the authors presented "the didactic balance": an educational game with a didactic vocation to help the learners to overcome their difficulties while solving one-degree equations. In this paper, we propose to experiment it with a sample of students from middle school. The analysis of the data collected allows us to advance some conclusions on the attainable educational goals, particularly in terms of skills transfer, and on the limits to be exceeded for the integration of this type of game in schools
