This paper concludes philosophical elements regarding conceptual theory, significances of human attitude towards the environment. In a sustainable life, environmental management becomes the most crucial area to be concerned. There are many campaigns, courses and even legal enforcement to ensure the success of educating wise attitude towards environment. This could be more effective and will create eternal effects if the understanding of environmental attitude would be based on religious teachings and philosophy. Not only for Muslims, these theoretical principles were described by the Holy Book, supported with the Prophet‟s tradition which could also be practiced by all mankind. The Great Sustainer is the best provider of the guidelines in interacting with all entities in our environment. In addition, they are closely related to the concept of rewards, directly or delayed. This paper highlighted a conceptual framework to be understood, in order to guide the do‟s and don‟ts, good or bad habits and positive or negative behavior towards environmental entities, including metaphysical entities. The most important point is, this philosophy would be a platform towards designing approaches, strategies or activities towards inculcating good behavior towards environment

Pola perubahan sosiobudaya dan mobiliti sosial dalam kalangan komuniti muara di Pantai Timur Semenanjung Malaysia

Persoalan perubahan sosiobudaya dan mobiliti sosial komuniti muara adalah satu persoalan penting dalam keseluruhan kajian mengenai perubahan sosial. Dalam dua dekad lebih ini, proses modenisasi berkembang pesat dan memberi kesan mendalam ke atas komuniti ini. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji isu berkaitan perubahan sosiobudaya dan mobiliti sosial komuniti muara di Pantai Timur Semenanjung Malaysia. Kaedah tinjauan ke atas 596 orang responden, temu bual dan pemerhatian telah dijalankan keatas 6 buah perkampungan nelayan di muara sungai yang terletak di Kelantan, Terengganu dan Pahang. Dapatan kajian menunjukkan aspek sosiobudaya melalui aktiviti kejiranan dalam komuniti muara masih kuat dan menjadi amalan tradisi. Mobiliti sosial melalui jenis pekerjaan juga telah berubah, iaitu pekerjaan sebagai nelayan untuk sumber pendapatan ekonomi utama telah beransur-ansur kurang menarik minat generasi muda. Kebanyakan generasi muda lebih berminat bekerja di darat berbanding menjadikan lautan sebagai sumber rezeki. Keadaan komuniti semakin terbuka memungkinkan berlakunya mobiliti sosial dalam kalangan generasi muda. Transformasi komuniti muara berdasarkan kepada aspek pendidikan dialami oleh empat generasi dikaji sama ada generasi datuk, bapa, responden dan anak. Bermula pada zaman sebelum merdeka, pasca merdeka dan menjelang abad ke-21 ‘tangga’ mobiliti berdasarkan tahap pendidikan semakin diakui kepentingannya oleh komuniti muara sebagai syarat utama untuk mengecapi kehidupan yang lebih baik

Analisis keperluan pembangunan pusat transformasi luar bandar (RTC) Terengganu

Kajian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan keperluan penduduk setempat yang tinggal di sekitar Pusat Transformasi Luar Bandar atau Rural Transformation Center (RTC) Terengganu di Bandar Al-Muktafi Billah Shah. Kajian ini menggunakan pendekatan campuran iaitu kaedah kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Kajian ini menggunakan borang soal selidik untuk pengumpulan data kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Data kuantitatif dianalisis menggunakan perisian Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS). Data kualitatif pula dianalisis menggunakan kaedah analisis kandungan. Kajian ini mendapati majoriti responden memerlukan pengangkutan awam seperti bas dan teksi. Didapati juga ada dalam kalangan responden mengatakan RTC perlu menyediakan peluang pekerjaan kepada penduduk setempat. Di samping itu, temubual dengan pelanggan dan kakitangan agensi kerajaan di RTC pula mendapati pelaksanaan inisiatif perkhidmatan kesihatan oleh Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia, aktiviti zon agro istimewa dan aktiviti promosi berada pada tahap rendah dan memerlukan perhatian yang sewajarnya. Manakala perbincangan kumpulan sasar seperti penyewa, pekerja dan penduduk sekitar, pemimpin tempatan dan anak syarikat Ketengah mendapati mereka menghadapi isu tempatan dan memerlukan tindakan penyelesaian daripada pihak Ketengah

Online learning is known as a crucial mode of the future of educational culture. Learning Management System (LMS) is a web based application where the learners are able to log on as well as access the courses which are allocate online to them. However, most LMS will simply manage the learning contents, the learning history data, the test results, and many more without managing the learning itself. Thus, the choice of an LMS is an important part of an organization's e-learning strategy and it will affect the organization for long period of time. Sharable Content Object Reference Model (SCORM) is a standard that allows the interoperability of learning tools and course content and provides a collection of specifications adapted from multiple sources to offer a comprehensive suite of e-learning capabilities that enable interoperability, accessibility and reusability of Web-based learning content. i-Learn Portal is the LMS platform that promote information sharing and resources for the academicians and students of the University of Technology MARA (UiTM), and the portal also provides standard content for the respective courses for student's perusal, extending the discussion or lecture at a class. The i-Learn Centre (i-LeC) of UiTM realizes that there is a need to standardize the i-Learn Portal towards world recognized LMS and therefore this research is done to understand SCORM and a comparative study among other selected global standards such as IEEE LTSC and IMS Global Consortium is carried out

The factors influencing employee motivation in Felda / Mohd Farid Abu Bakar and Nor Haziyah Mamat

Employee motivation becomes important for organization to survive. To engage in the practice of motivating employees, employers must understand the unsatisfied needs of each of the employee groups. It is because different employees usually have different types of needs. Besides that, employee motivation also helps the organizations to survive. Motivated employees are more productive. Thus to be effective, managers need to understand what motivates employee within the context of the functions & roles they perform. This research study on three dimensions that influence employee motivation which are compensation, work environment and career development. The researchers need to find out what are the relationship these three dimension with employee motivation and which one of these factor that most significant to employee motivation among employee in Felda. Besides that, the researchers also want to determine the level of employee motivation in Felda. This study has conducted in Wisma Felda on 100 respondents to be sample and used questionnaires to collect the data. The findings of this study indicate career development is the most factors that influencing employee motivation in the organization. Based on the findings the researchers have come up with several type of recommendation to be taken as an action by Felda which is first, Felda Senior Leader in Felda should make career development as a priority if they want to increase their employee motivation. Next, Felda can send their Line Manager to a better training by provide a tools and skills for supporting their career development. Lastly Felda can combine individualized coaching and group session

Kecenderungan keusahawanan dalam kalangan pelajar sekolah menengah di negeri Terengganu

Kajian ini bertujuan untuk meninjau kecenderungan keusahawanan pelajar sekolah menengah di negeri Terengganu yang mengikuti Program Tunas Niaga. Kajian ini dijalankan secara pendekatan kuantitatif dengan menggunakan kaedah tinjauan digunakan. Sampel kajian terdiri daripada 379 orang pelajar menjadi ahli Program Tunas Niaga di 41 buah sekolah menengah yang dipilih secara rawak mudah untuk menjawab borang soal selidik. Hasil kajian ini menunjukkan bahawa sebahagian besar pelajar Program Tunas Niaga mempunyai kecenderungan menceburi bidang keusahawanan pada tahap tinggi. Faktor-faktor peramal seperti kewangan, model peranan, personaliti, halangan, pengenalan sosial, norma sosial, pengetahuan keusahawanan dan kemahiran keusahawanan mempunyai kaitan kecenderungan menceburi bidang keusahawanan. Penemuan kajian ini memberi peluang kepada pihak berwajib meningkatkan usaha dan mengubah pendekatan untuk membawa perubahan kepada generasi muda supaya lebih cenderung menceburi bidang keusahawanan dan membentuk masyarakat perdagangan dan perniagaan Bumiputera Melayu

Penggunaan Sistem Persekitaran Pembelajaran Maya Frog di Sekolah-Sekolah Malaysia: Pengalaman dan Prospek Masa Depan

Penggunaan sistem Virtual Learning Environment Frog (VLE Frog) merupakan satu sistem pembelajaran maya yang giat digunakan di hampir 100.000 buah sekolah di seluruh negara. Sistem ini merupakan satu platform pembelajaran maya yang boleh diguna pakai oleh semua murid, guru dan warga sekolah pada bila-bila masa dan di mana sahaja untuk mengakses laman pendidikan. Namun, penggunaannya masih berada di tahap yang kurang memberangsangkan dan tidak di ambil berat oleh guru di sekolah. Justeru kajian ini dijalankan bagi mengenal pasti fungsi dan peranan sistem VLE Frog di sekolah. Kajian ini merupakan kajian gabungan kuantitatif dan kualitatif dengan melibatkan 367 orang sebagai sampel kajian. Kajian perpustakaan, instrumen soal selidik dan pemerhatian telah dijalankan bagi mendapatkan data kajian ini. Hasil dapatan kajian ini diharap dapat menjadi salah satu daripada kayu ukur terhadap kesediaan guru sekolah rendah dalam menggunakan teknologi dalam pendidikan khususnya melalui sistem VLE Frog.   Use of Frog Virtual Learning Environment System in Malaysian Schools: Future Experiences and Prospects Abstract: The use of the Virtual Learning Environment Frog (VLE Frog) system is a powerful virtual learning system used in nearly 100,000 schools across the country. However, its use is still at a disadvantage and has not been taken seriously by teachers in schools. Therefore, this study was conducted to identify the function and role of the VLE Frog system in schools. This study was a quantitative and qualitative study involving 367 people as a sample. Library surveys, questionnaires and observations were conducted to obtain data from this study. The findings of this study are expected to be one of the benchmarks for primary school teachers' readiness to use technology in education especially through the VLE Frog system. Fasting in Islam: A combination of spiritual elevation and prevention of diseases

The obligatory fasting of Ramadan is not only an Islamic ritual to enhance the God-consciousness (called Taqwa), it may also lead to improvement of health status of fasting person. In other words, it is a complete overhauling instrument of Muslims soul/body in terms of faith and health. This can be termed as “Islamic fasting: a combination of spiritual elevation and prevention of diseases”.
