KNOWLEDGE-BASED NEURAL NETWORK FOR LINE FLOW CONTINGENCY SELECTION AND RANKING
The Line flow Contingency Selection and Ranking (CS & R) is performed to rank the critical contingencies in order of their severity. An Artificial Neural Network based method for MW security assessment corresponding to line outage events have been reported by various authors in the literature. One way to provide an understanding of the behaviour of Neural Networks is to extract rules that can be provided to the user. The domain knowledge (fuzzy rules extracted from Multi-layer Perceptron model trained by Back Propagation algorithm) is integrated into a Neural Network for fast and accurate CS & R in an IEEE 14-bus system, for unknown load patterns and are found to be suitable for on-line applications at Energy Management Centers. The system user is provided with the capability to determine the set of conditions under which a line-outage is critical, and if critical, then how severe it is, thereby providing some degree of transparency of the ANN solution
Research Paper on Software Cost Estimation Using Fuzzy Logic
Software cost estimation is one of the biggest challenges in these days due to tremendous completion. You have to bid so close so that you can get the consignment if your cost estimation is too low are too high in that cases organization has to suffer that why it becomes very crucial to get consignment. One of the important issues in software project management is accurate and reliable estimation of software time, cost, and manpower, especially in the early phase of software development. Software attributes usually have properties of uncertainty and vagueness when they are measured by human judgment. A software cost estimation model incorporates fuzzy logic can overcome the uncertainty and vagueness of software attributes. However, determination of the suitable fuzzy rule sets for fuzzy inference system plays an important role in coming up with accurate and reliable software estimates. The objective of our research was to examine the application of applying fuzzy logic in software cost estimation that can perform more accurate result. In fuzzy logic there are various membership function for example Gaussian, triangular, trapezoidal and many more. Out of these by hit and trial method we find triangular membership function (MF) yields least MRE and MMRE and this MRE must be less than 25%. In our research this value came around 15% which is very fair enough to estimate. Cost can be found out using the equation if payment is known Cost = Effort * (Payment Month). Therefore the effort needed for a particular software project using fuzzy logic is estimated. In our research NASA (93) data set used to calculate fuzzy logic COCOMO II. From this table size of code and actual effort has been taken. In end after comparing the result we found that our proposed technique is far superior to base work
Pakistani Sisyphean Heroes in Taufiq Rafat’s Foothold
The protagonist of Foothold, Saleem, wanders off into the wilderness to seek faith like Buddha. He does not give up his quest as he returns home to his family and friends, and learns that faith can be found and practised amongst his community. A close reading of the text proves that Saleem bears the qualities of a Sisyphean Hero as outlined by Albert Camus. Other characters have also been subjected to a similar scrutiny to prove whether they are Sisyphean Heroes or not. Furthermore, the close reading of Foothold renders an insight into the generation of the Sixties who experienced decolonization and felt like misfits in their own environment. Saleem is acutely affected by the process of decolonization and hence, he is deeply puzzled with the institutionalized religion in Pakistan. To shape the theoretical framework of this research, The Myth of Sisyphus and Other Essays, The Stranger, and A Happy Death have been used. As there is a dearth of criticism on Foothold therefore, the interpretations for this research have been derived from Camus’ works. This research will be beneficial to those researchers who wish to study the application of Camus’ works in a postcolonial setting. Contrasting seed biology of two ornamental palms: Pygmy Date Palm (Phoenix roebelenii O’Brien) and Fishtail Palm (Caryota urens L.) and implications for their long-term conservation
477-484The Arecaceae family includes palm trees of economic importance both as a source of agricultural produce and as ornamental components in landscaping projects. Pygmy date palm (Phoenix roebelenii) and solitary fishtail palm (Caryota urens) are well known landscaping plants today. Both species have their origin in Southeast Asia and, especially C. urens is widespread in peninsular India and Sri Lanka. They are multipurpose species with a variety of applications and thus very heavily utilized. Knowledge of palm seed storage biology will improve their conservation prospects. In present studies, fresh seed moisture content in P. roebelenii was recorded to be 30% with germinability of 98%. After desiccation to 8% moisture germinability was reduced to 90% and the seeds survived cryo-exposure. Fresh seeds of C. urens, with initial moisture content of 34% and 95% germinability could be desiccated to lowest level of only 29% moisture content, with complete loss of germinability. Fresh as well as desiccated seeds of this species did not survive cryo-exposure. While the seeds of C. urens stored at room temperature lost their germinability by 110 days, seeds of P. roebelenii could germinate even after 9 months of storage. P. roebelenii is proven to exhibit orthodox seed storage behaviour while C. urens is found to exhibit recalcitrant seed storage behaviour. Long-term ex situ cryo-conservation in the form of seed gene banks would be suitable for seed propagated orthodox palm species and a few germplasm centres may be established for recalcitrant Indian palms in suitable bio-geographic regions as a complimentary ex situ conservation

Genetic diversity and relationship assessment among mulberry (Morus spp) genotypes by simple sequence repeat (SSR) marker profile
Mulberry (Morus L.) is essential for sericulture industry as the primary source of food for silkworm Bombyx mori L. In India, long tradition of practising sericulture includes the use of a large number of indigenous cultivars. Since knowledge on genetic divergence of these cultivars/varieties is imperative for conservation and gainful utilization, simple sequence repeat (SSR) profiling was employed to assess genetic relatedness among 17 mulberry genotypes maintained in the Germplasm Bank of Temperate Sericulture Institute, SKUAST Kashmir, Mirgund. Six SSR primers were utilised which generates 17 alleles among the genotypes. The polymorphism information content (PIC) value varied from 0.260 (MulSTR3) to 0.623 (MulSTR4), with an average of 0.438 per locus. The highest similarity value of 0.92 was observed between Lemoncina and Kanva-2, as compared to the lowest similarity coefficient of 0.15 was between SKM-48 and Chinese white. Clustering of the genotypes was done with unweight pair group method using arithmetic average (UPGMA) which generates five clusters. May Measurement Month (MMM) 2017: an analysis of blood pressure screening results in Bangladesh-South Asia
Elevated blood pressure (BP) is a growing burden worldwide, leading to over 10 million deaths each year. Based on the findings of the non-communicable disease Risk Factors Survey Bangladesh 2010, the prevalence of hypertension in adults 25 years or older in Bangladesh is 20.1%. The Bangladesh Demographic Health Survey, 2011 showed that approximately 50% of those affected are unaware of their hypertensive condition. The May Measurement Month 2017 (MMM17) is a global initiative of the International Society of Hypertension (ISH) aimed at raising awareness of high BP. We participated in MMM17 to raise awareness of hypertension screening and identify those with elevated BP who were unaware, and those on treatment with still uncontrolled hypertension. Following the standard protocol designed by the ISH, we participated in MMM17, an opportunistic cross-sectional survey of volunteers aged ≥18. It was carried out in May 2017. BP measurement, the definition of hypertension and statistical analysis followed the standard MMM protocol. Data were collected from 35 screening sites in 33 districts in Bangladesh. Personnel from several government and non-government organizations volunteered in this huge event. A total of 11 418 individuals were screened during MMM17, of which 5401 (47.3%) were found to have hypertension. Of 8365 individuals not receiving anti-hypertensive medication, 2348 (28.1%) were hypertensive. Of 3053 individuals receiving anti-hypertensive medication, 1594 (52.2%) had uncontrolled BP. MMM17 was the largest BP screening campaign undertaken in Bangladesh. This study suggests that opportunistic screening can identify significant numbers of people with raised BP. A periodic public health programme at a national level needs to be initiated to increase hypertension detection and control rate and thus for the prevention of cardiovascular diseases

Since 2012, Middle East respiratory syndrome (MERS) coronavirus has infected 2,442 persons worldwide. Case-based data analysis suggests that since 2016, as many as 1,465 cases and 293–520 deaths might have been averted. Efforts to reduce the global MERS threat are working, but countries must maintain vigilance to prevent further infections

Lifetime cardiovascular management of patients with previous Kawasaki disease.
Kawasaki disease (KD) is an inflammatory disorder of young children, associated with vasculitis of the coronary arteries with subsequent aneurysm formation in up to one-third of untreated patients. Those who develop aneurysms are at life-long risk of coronary thrombosis or the development of stenotic lesions, which may lead to myocardial ischaemia, infarction or death. The incidence of KD is increasing worldwide, and in more economically developed countries, KD is now the most common cause of acquired heart disease in children. However, many clinicians in the UK are unaware of the disorder and its long-term cardiac complications, potentially leading to late diagnosis, delayed treatment and poorer outcomes. Increasing numbers of patients who suffered KD in childhood are transitioning to the care of adult services where there is significantly less awareness and experience of the condition than in paediatric services. The aim of this document is to provide guidance on the long-term management of patients who have vascular complications of KD and guidance on the emergency management of acute coronary complications.
