Fuel consumption of marine vessels plays an important role in both generating air pollution and ship operational expenses where the global environmental concerns toward air pollution and economics of shipping operation are being increased. In order to optimize ship fuel consumption, the fuel consumption prediction for her envisaged voyage is to be known. To predict fuel consumption of a ship, noon report (NR) data are available source to be analysed by different techniques. Because of the possible human error attributed to the method of NR data collection, it involves risk of possible inaccuracy. Therefore, in this study, to acquire pure valid data, the NR raw data of two very large crude carriers (VLCCs) composed with their respective Automatic Identification System (AIS) satellite data. Then, well-known models i.e. K-Mean, Self-Organizing Map (SOM), Outlier Score Base (OSB) and Histogram of Outlier Score Base (HSOB) methods are applied to the collected tankers NR during a year. The new enriched data derived are compared to the raw NR to distinguish the most fitted methodology of accruing pure valid data. Expected value and root mean square methods are applied to evaluate the accuracy of the methodologies. It is concluded that measured expected value and root mean square for HOSB are indicating high coherence with the harmony of the primary NR data.</p

This study is intended to identify challenges and obstacles associated with intellectual and antiterrorism agency at IRAQ security institutions and to explore ways of confrontation from the perspective of personnel of the inmate. Study is based on social survey of study population using analytical, descriptive method. The approach was commensurate with study population size, and was chosen on availability and the right standard to achieve intended objectives of study. This Study summed up with the following findings and results : - intellectual and antiterrorism agency at IRAQ security institutions patterns rampant among inmates of security institutions are extremism, radicalism, intellectual deviation about Jihad and the adoption of ideas and behaviors alien to the this problem and the governments rule. - The best anti-deviant ideology ides and programs are religious guidance based on moderation and face-to-face with detainees lectures by religious scholars and teachers. The most effective preventive measures and programs to stop the spread of deviant thinking involve among the youth Muslims and promotion of correct religious understanding, and proper social upbringing. The impact of intellectual deviation on the young can take the form of self- destruction (suicidal behavior) to punish the others. It can also lead to family disintegration and crimes. Key counter-intellectual deviation measures are adopting sound understanding and showing proper caring for prison inmates and their families

An examination of many hospitals that recently implemented in King Saudi Arabia(KSA) a little electronic health record (EHR) system finds that clinical and administrative leaders built EHR adoption into their strategic plans to integrate inpatient and outpatient care and provide a continuum of coordinated services. Using Relational Data Base Management (RDM) and eXtend Marker Language (XML) Systems .Successful implementation depended on: strong leadership, full involvement of clinical staff in design and implementation, mandatory staff training, and strict adherence to timeline and budget. The EHR systems facilitate patient safety and quality improvement through: use of checklists, alerts, and predictive tools; embedded clinical guidelines that promote standardized, evidence-based practices; electronic prescribing and test-ordering that reduces errors and redundancy; and discrete data fields that foster use of performance dashboards and compliance reports. The system will be developed using PHP Hiper Page(PHP) as web based system. Key word: XML, RDM,EHR.EMR,GIS,PH

Double Blackness in Tayeb Salih’s Season of Migration to the North: A Critical Discourse Analysis

    Get PDF
This paper examines the idea of double blackness and its role in constructing the Sudanese social hierarchy in Tayeb Salih’s Season of Migration to the North (1969). The article draws on several core concepts in postcolonial and anthropological studies, including race, culture, ethnicity, and Otherness. Instead of tackling the novel from the traditional postcolonial perspective, the paper adds an anthropological lens to the novel’s social dynamics to shed light on some neglected aspects like the multiplicity of Sudanese racial identity and its subsequent self-awareness. The discussion we present in this paper poses some problematic questions about the meaning of blackness and the presence of multiple layers of the Black Self in Sudanese society. Away from the postcolonial implications of the novel, we argue that Salih makes use of the traditional colonial discourse of self vs other and holds a mirror up to the Sudanese society itself. The novel shows that even among African communities where blackness is a norm, blackness and race remain major triggers of polemics and controversies in a very similar manner to what occurs in Western contexts. The new reading of the novel we propose is one that considers the ways in which characters from an “African” origin endure what we call “double Blackness” — the degradation experienced through both discourses of racism and social stratification

The rapid development of the techniques used in laboratories led generating massive amounts of data in record time, which put scientists on the front line not only with the interpretation of this data to vital information but with the store this data in databases organization in a good way that allows retrieved easily, and this what led to the emergence of science bioinformatics, which applies computer technology to the management of these bioinformatics, as has this science developed several algorithms and software for analyzing the genome ( after becoming exposed in front of us) and comparing with DNA sequences and chains of proteins with each other or matching new strings with previously undiscovered chains in order to gain access to information about the functions of the new strings without having to use laboratory experiments (which may take month). A medical information services are one of the important pillars of the researchers, but this information becomes worthless or useful if it does not reach in a timely manner and to the extent appropriate. Medical information is considered substrate upon which the medical research in the various fields in Sudan, and so had to be interest in release of its information statement and its role in various fields. There are in the state of Khartoum multiple institutions of medical information in its institutions of medical universities and, have noted the researcher that the institutions of medical information are deficient in human cadre and technical, and there is a decline in the information services provided by these institutions have been given all these and other reasons, the researcher of the study Systems Division Medical Information and Documentation Centre information(SDMIDCI). The study has pursued the study of the case in the institutions of the information, has been used to study a number of scientific disciplines represented in the curriculum, both descriptive and analytical survey, while the study used to collect the data of the following tools: resolution as a key tool in data collection, interview and observation. Questionnaire was distributed to beneficiaries researchers and graduate students and university students of specialty medical laboratory databases of global and local at the Center for Documentation and Information at the National Center for Research. In Conclusion search accept the proposal of information systems in the laboratories of medical tests Sudanese, and the reality of the application of these systems in Sudan and accept results and recommendations is the most important weakness of human resources and lack of uses of modern technologies to reach the medical information in a timely manner, which is the infrastructure in the institutions of medical information then the low information services in those institutions. The researcher recommended that the state give precedence maximum support and medical information sector at the policy level and work to provide medical information to non-traditional fit with the nature of the specialized medical institutions. Expedient and novel alternative synthesis of some fused heteropolycycles containing pyrazole moiety is described. A series of indeno[1,2-c]pyrazoles, 2H-benzo[g]indazoles and benzo[6,7] cyclohepta[1,2-c]pyrazoles were prepared by Friedel-Crafts ring closure of suitable synthesized carboxylic acids and alkanols in the presence of AlCl3/CH3NO2 or P2O5 or PPA (polyphosphoric acid) catalysts. The precursor acids were obtained by utilizing KMnO4 oxidation of the corresponding aldehyde, alkylations of diethyl malonates and Perkin type approaches, whereas starting alkanols were smoothly obtained by reaction of carboxylic acid ester with Grignard reagent. To exemplify, cyclizations of 5-chloro-1,3-diphenyl-1H-pyrazole-4-carboxylic acid (6) were accomplished using the above catalysts afforded 3-chloro-2-phenylindeno[1,2-c]pyrazol-4(2H)-one (1b). Similarly, cyclization of the 2-(5-chloro-1,3-diphenyl-1H-pyrazol-4-yl)propan-2-ol (8) by a Friedel–Crafts-type ring closure afforded the 3-chloro-2,4-dihydro-4,4-dimethyl-2-phenylindeno[1,2-c]pyrazole (1a)

Introduction: Vitamin E (Vit E) is well known antioxidant. Bisphenol A (BPA), widely used industrial chemical product, is associated with increased risk for cardiac diseases to identify the potential protective effect of Vit E on BPA induced cardiomyopathy by alleviation of oxidative and autophagic stress through its antioxidant effect. Materials and Methods: Twenty –four adult male rates were used in the study. They were randomly divided into 4 groups; negative control, vit E positive control, BPA, and vit E treated group. All chemicals were given orally via gastric gavage for 14 days. Rats were sacrificed and their hearts were dissected out. Serum, cardiac homogenates, and cardiac tissues were obtained for biochemical and histopathological evaluation. Results: There were significant increase in serum DH and CK-MB, tissue homogenates showed elevated levels of NO and MDA and decreased level of GSH in BPA group. Immunohistopathological evaluation of autophagic mediators showed significant increase in LC3 and P62 in BPA group. On Histological examination, there was pathological alteration in BPA group compared to normal group. Vit E administration showed significant improvement in cardiac enzymes and oxidative stress. Also, alleviation of autophagic process and restoration of the myocardial architecture with reduction of the fibrous tissue were observed with vit E administration. Conclusion: These results demonstrate that vitamin E exhibit substantial protective effects in BPA induced cardiotoxicity by attenuating inflammation, oxidative stress, and alleviation the autophagic process
