This research examines Salam Sale, which is a type of sale known under the Islamic jurisprudence, and provided for by the Civil Code of Jordan. The most important feature of this kind of sale is the non-existence of the subject matter of the contract, which is the Goods or the Mahal. For this particular reason, I chose to compare Salam Sale with the Sale of Future Goods under English law. Therefore, the research aimed first to define the concept of both Salam Sale and Future Goods Sale. Besides explaining the purposes of, as well as the merits behind Salam Sale. There are certain requirements that must be met in order to consider a sale as being Salam; these requirements are classified into two categories: the first deals with the type of goods applicable to Salam Sale. Thus, such goods must be appropriated and delivery thereof must take place at the time and in the place stipulated by the Civil Code. The second category; however, deals with the price in the Salam Sale, and requires it to be appropriated and paid in advance. Finally, the research deals with the legal consequences, which emerge out of a contract of Salam Sale. Those mainly concern the transfer of ownership, frustration of the contract and the death of the seller prior to delivery. All these issues are discussed under both the Civil Law of Jordan and the English Sale of Goods Act 1979

Purpose: The biomedical application of low temperature atmospheric pressure plasma (LTAPP) is a collaborative interest for engineering, medical, dental and biological researchers. This laboratory study tested whether LTAPP can limit growth of Porphyromonas gingivalis, a periodontal pathogen strongly associated with periodontal disease, disease progression, and refractory periodontitis. Methods: After extensive pilot trials, the study consisted of 24 agar plate samples of P. gingivalis- 20 samples were exposed to LTAPP at 5, 7, 9 and 10 minutes and 4 control samples were exposed to helium gas only. Immediately after exposures, the samples were incubated anaerobically for 72 hour at 3 7°C. After 72 hours, zones of inhibition were measured. Results: After 5, 7, 9, and 11 minutes of exposure times, results reveal a statistically significant difference in the bactericidal effect of the LTAPP on P. gingivalis compared to control bacteria not exposed, as measured by zone of inhibition (cm) (pConclusions: LTAPP has a significant dose related bactericidal effect on P. gingivalis, as measured by zone of inhibition

This study aimed to identify the prevalence of a forgiveness trait among university students and its relationship with attachment styles, and to determine any differences in the extent of forgiveness based on gender, academic specialization and academic level variables. Participants in the study consisted of 784 male and female undergraduate students at the Hashemite University in the academic year 2013-2014, who completed both the attachment styles and forgiveness traits scales. Results indicated a moderate prevalence of the forgiveness trait and no significant differences were found due to gender, while significant differences were found due to academic specialization in favor of humanist specializations and academic level in favor of third and fourth academic levels. Results also indicated that the secure attachment style indicated a positive relationship with the forgiveness trait, whereas no significant relationship was found between the anxious or avoidant attachment styles, and the forgiveness trait

A study was made on morphological and cytological features of four Rivulariaceae strains from marine, partially saline and freshwater environments using three versions of saline and freshwater media (standard. - Fe. low P). A brackish Anabaena sp. was used for comparison. Subculture to - Fe medium led to marked changes in morphology and cytology. These were (base to apex): a series of new heterocysts apical to the original one. Intra-thylakoldal vacuolation. Lack of cyanophycin granules, presence of polyphosphate granules, pale colour, brown sheath, short hair and low hairiness. With low P medium, the changes were the opposite. Hairs did not form in Calpthrix D253 in saline medium, whether the cultures were in - Fe or low P medium. Downshift from saline to freshwater medium led to the synchronized development of hairs in most trichomes. Whereas the reciprocal upshift led to loss of hairs. The Fe content was studied in three Rivulariaceae and Anabaena in batch culture in high and low P media, which eventually led to Fe- and P- limitation. respectively. The content reached a maximum by 24 h in all strains, decreasing subsequently from 1.80 - 0.06 % dry weight. Siderophore production was tested in four Rivulariaceae and Anabaena in saline and freshwater media. Two Calothrlx strains and Anabaena produced a siderophore in freshwater medium. Influence of Fe status on nitrogenase activity was tested in two Rivulariaceae and Anabaena in saline and freshwater media during batch culture. Peaks of nitrogenase activity in the former came three to five days after the Fe peak, by which stage Fe content had dropped to within the range 0.6 - 0.3 % dry weight. In contrast, peak activity in Anabaena came within a day of the Fe peak. Addition of Fe to Fe-limited cultures led to rapid increase in activity. The significance of these data on morphology, cytology and physiology and possible interactions between Fe- and P-limitation are discussed
