    Microwave generation in synchronized semiconductor superlattices

    We study high-frequency generation in a system of electromagnetically coupled semiconductor superlattices fabricated on the same doped substrate. Applying a bias voltage to a single superlattice generates high-frequency current oscillations. We demonstrate that within a certain range of the applied voltage, the current oscillations within the superlattices can be self-synchronized, which leads to a dramatic rise in the generated microwave power. These results, which are in good agreement with our numerical model, open a promising practical route towards the design of high-power miniature microwave generators

    80 MeV linear accelerator is a part of the industrial storage facility at the State Research Institute for Problems in Physics named after F.V. Lukin (Moscow, Zelenograd). 6-meter long accelerating DAW structure operates at 2.8 GHz and is powered by the Olivin klystron station. The power is transmitted through the long waveguide channel made of rectangular copper pipes with 90·45 mm cross section and 5 mm walls, with no circulator. The paper deals with the waveguide channel construction features, including indium gaskets to connect individual parts. The waveguide channel length correction procedure for the purpose of overvoltage decreasing during accelerating structure breakdowns is also described.Технологічний накопичувальний комплекс НІДФП ім. Ф.В.Лукина, м. Зеленоград у своєму складі має лінійний прискорювач на енергію 80 МеВ. Прискорююча структура ЛП із шайбами і діафрагмами (DAW) довжиною 6 м працює на частоті 2,8 ГГц. Джерелом ВЧ-потужності для неї служить клістронна станція «Олівін». Передача потужності здійснюється довгим хвилевідним трактом, виконаним з мідних прямокутних труб перетином 90×45 мм і товщиною стінок 5 мм, без циркулятора. Розглянуті особливості конструктивного виконання хвилевідного тракту, у якому використовуються індійові ущільнення для з'єднання окремих елементів. Також приведена процедура настроювання довжини хвилевідного тракту з метою зменшення в ньому перенапруги при пробоях структури.Технологический накопительный комплекс НИИФП им. Ф.В.Лукина, г. Также приведена процедура настройки длины волноводного тракта с целью уменьшения в нём перенапряжения при пробоях ускоряющей структуры

    Design work has been completed for the accelerating structure of high-power electron accelerator with 5 MeV, 300 kW, 176 MHz parameters. The structure is being produced in BINP workshop. The paper presents the design of the accelerating structure which consists of a chain of coaxial cavities, and block diagram of experimental workbench. Structure of the main accelerator blocks and their degree of fabrication are viewed.Закончены проектные работы по ускоряющей структуре мощного электронного ускорителя 5 МэВ, 300 кВт, 176 МГц и ведется ее изготовление в опытном производстве Института. Дается описание конструкции ускоряющей структуры, состоящей из цепочки связанных коаксиальных резонаторов. Приводится блок-схема испытательного стенда, рассматривается устройство отдельных узлов ускорителя и состояние их готовности.Закінчено проектні роботи із прискорювальної структури потужного електронного прискорювача 5 МеВ, 300 кВт, 176 МГц і ведеться її виготовлення в дослідному виробництві інституту. Дається опис конструкції прискорювальної структури, що складається з ланцюжка зв'язаних коаксіальних резонаторів.     Refined Nonlinear Deformation Model of Sandwich Plates with Composite Facings and Transversal-Soft Core

Following up on the results obtained earlier, a refined nonlinear model of static deformation of sandwich plates with transversal-soft core and facings with low stiffness of transverse shear and transverse compression is constructed for the case of cylindrical bending. It is based on the use of linear approximations in thickness for deflections of the external layers, cubic approximation in thickness for tangential displacements, and simplified three-dimensional equations of elasticity theory that can be integrated along the transverse coordinate with introduction of two unknown functions representing constant transverse tangential stresses in thickness for transversal-soft core. The kinematic relations for the facings are constructed in a geometrically nonlinear quadratic approximation. They allow, taking into account physical nonlinear behavior of the material under transverse shear conditions, the description of non-classical transverse-shear forms of stability loss (FSL) in both compression and bending conditions. Based on the generalized Lagrange variational principle, one-dimensional nonlinear equations of equilibrium and conjugation of the facings with the core by tangential displacements are constructed to describe the static deformation process with high rates of variability of the parameters of the stress-strain state (SSS)

    The Timan-Pechora basin still has a large importance and as a potential region for the hydrocarbons mining in Russia. At present, new facts are emerging from oil and gas exploration. The authors studied more than 50 samples from 11 wells. Most samples in this series were related to the Middle-Late-Frasnian sediments (Late Devonian), which are allocated in «domanic» horizon. Organic macerals of the studed samples are represented both by fragments of humic macerals and sapropelic OM (formed from algal material). The common organic macerals in Timan-Pechora basin are bituminites. They were met in all samples without exception and provide total content of OM,% in the rock. Bituminites are regularly distributed among mineral matter and color the rock in gray or more dark colors. Bituminite was used to determine the reflectance index (RB,%) that later was converted into the corresponding equivalent of vitrinite reflectance index (RVeq,%). This is particularly important as authors’ information was used together with the results of earlier studies. ID-modeling has been made in the program PetroMod (2015.1 Schlumberger) and helped to understand evolution in Timan-Pechora basin and maturity degree of rocks. The concept of the model was coordinated with the main evolution stages of the northeast European Platform and the foredeep Ural trough. The thicknesses of catagenesis zones and position of boundaries between them are indicators of thermal regime in the analyzed regions. The heat flow used in the modelling was one and the same for most tectonic regions (except foredeep Ural trough and Khoreiverskaja depression). According to the classification of the sedimentary basins by P. Robert (1985), 5 regions belong to regions with a normal or slightly hypothermal geothermal regime (heat flow 45-65 mV/m2) and foredeep Ural trough with heat flow up to 74 mV/m2 is a region with a high hyperthermal regime

Complex “BARS” works for organizing a base of calculation circuits of power pools and regions, which have different level and volume. After equivalent or pooling circuit construction there are creates and uses new calculation circuits of two types (search network and equivalence network)

    The fostering of motivation for innovative activity in future agriculture specialists as a pedagogical issue

    The problem and the objective. The search for effective methods, technology, and approaches that could facilitate fostering a new generation of specialists who will be capable of retooling quickly in keeping with the needs of the labor market is a crucial objective set before the system of higher agricultural education. A possible way to succeed in this area is to cultivate motivation for innovative activity in future agriculture specialists as part of the educational process at colleges. The paper's purpose is to investigate the content of the concept of 'fostering motivation for innovative activity' through a comprehensive theoretical analysis of the characteristics of the professional preparation of agriculture specialists and of the key issues relating to motivation (E.P. Il'in, S.S. Zanyuk, P.M. Yakobson, N.V. Kostyuk, E.V. Karpova, etc.) and innovative activity (V.S. Belgorodskii, E.S. Bykova, O.S. Zolotukhina, E.N. Ishchenko, E.S. Polat, etc.), as well as to pilot-test a special methodology for diagnosing motivation for innovative activity in future agriculture specialists. Methodology. The authors have developed, as their research method for determining the dominant motives for innovative activity, a diagnostic assessment checklist for motivation for innovative activity comprised of 4 groups of motives. The findings of the authors' diagnosis of motivation for innovative activity indicate that professional motives and those of personal self-actualization are not the ones that prevail with future agriculture specialists. Most students tend to give priority to external stimuli and motives of external selffulfillment, which may be testimony to low levels of motivation for innovative activity. The paper's conclusion brings forth the suggestion to foster this motivation through the concurrent use in class of both well-known and entrenched ways and forms of arranging the learning process and cutting-edge (innovative) learning technology in keeping with students' age characteristics. © 2017. revistaESPACIOS.com
