    Theoretical and experimental study of high-pressure synthesized B20-type compounds Mn1βˆ’x_{1-x}(Co,Rh)x_xGe

    The search and exploration of new materials not found in nature is one of modern trends in pure and applied chemistry. In the present work, we report on experimental and \textit{ab initio} density-functional study of the high-pressure-synthesized series of compounds Mn1βˆ’x_{1-x}(Co,Rh)x_xGe. These high-pressure phases remain metastable at normal conditions, therewith they preserve their inherent noncentrosymmetric B20-type structure and chiral magnetism. Of particular interest in these two isovalent systems is the comparative analysis of the effect of 3d3d (Co) and 4d4d (Rh) substitution for Mn, since the 3d3d orbitals are characterized by higher localization and electron interaction than the 4d4d orbitals. The behavior of Mn1βˆ’x_{1-x}(Co,Rh)x_xGe systems is traced as the concentration changes in the range 0≀x≀10 \leq x \leq 1. We applied a sensitive experimental and theoretical technique which allowed to refine the shape of the temperature dependencies of magnetic susceptibility Ο‡(T)\chi(T) and thereby provide a new and detailed magnetic phase diagram of Mn1βˆ’x_{1-x}Cox_xGe. It is shown that both systems exhibit a helical magnetic ordering that very strongly depends on the composition xx. However, the phase diagram of Mn1βˆ’x_{1-x}Cox_xGe differs from that of Mn1βˆ’x_{1-x}Rhx_xGe in that it is characterized by coexistence of two helices in particular regions of concentrations and temperatures.Comment: 12 pages, 11 figure

    Study of olivines from Omolon and Seymchan meteorites using X-ray diffraction and MΓΆssbauer spectroscopy with a high velocity resolution

    Study of olivine from Omolon and Seymchan meteorites was performed using X-ray diffraction and MΓΆssbauer spectroscopy with a high velocity resolution. X-ray diffraction patterns were measured at room temperature while MΓΆssbauer spectra were measured at 295 and 90 K. The orthorhombic crystal lattice parameters were evaluated for olivine from Omolon and Seymchan. These parameters appeared to be different for olivines from both meteorites. MΓΆssbauer spectral components related to 57Fe in crystallographically non-equivalent sites M1 and M2 in both olivines were determined and its MΓΆssbauer hyperfine parameters were evaluated. Some differences in the tendencies of temperature dependence of spectral parameters and small variations of 57Fe quadrupole splitting in both M1 and M2 sites of olivines from Omolon and Seymchan were found.     The aim of the study is to determine a meaning and methods to use associations as one of mnemonics for teaching a foreign language and to justify the need of the introduction of the specific term Β«associative tagΒ».Β Methods. The complex of complementary research methods are used in order to achieve the set goal: theoretical (analysis and generalization of research papers); empirical (data collection and storage) and experimental methods (examination and implementation).Β Results and scientific novelty. The article determines a meaning and methods to use associations as one of mnemonics for teaching a foreign language. The specific term as Β«associative tagΒ» is introduced and explained in terms of a pedagogical method to create a stable and permanent system of associative and semantic links and imaginations being fixed in a memory under the certain information, action or event.Β Practical significance.     VIDEO BLOGGING AS AN INNOVATIVE FORM OF THE PROJECT ACTIVITY IN FOREIGN LANGUAGE TEACHING TO JOURNALISM STUDENTS

    Introduction. The appearance of new formats and ways of presenting information inevitably affects the educational process and leads to the necessity to revise the paradigm of pedagogical attitudes and tools of the teaching activity, which in turn generates a number of methodological and didactic problems to be solved. The relevance of the research topic is caused by the current tendency of the distribution of video blogging as an information activity tool that affects the educational environment. There is a steady development of video blogging (a special kind of blog, where the emphasis is made on video information) as a new channel of communication in the educational services market, and using it as a separate form of non-educational project activity within the framework of mastering one or another academic discipline. In the conditions of deficiency of classroom hoursΒ and increase in student independent work, project-based education is becoming more and more demanded type of training. Currently, interdisciplinary projects are being widely disseminated at high school; these projects are aimed at vocational guidance for a foreign language, they meet the requirements of the new communication reality and the needs of modern educational systems. The aim of the publication is to consider video blogging as an innovative form of project-oriented learning a foreign language and to characterize the features of creating and implementing media content within the framework of a foreign language training course. Methodology and research methods. In the course the research, such theoretical scientific methods as analysis, synthesis, concretization, generalization, as well as hypothetical-deductive and design methods were applied. Results and scientific novelty. For the first time the article deals with the structure of video blogging as a project work and as a form of professionally oriented foreign language teaching as well, also there are formulated basic didactic questions in the article. These questions have appeared in the process of the development and the implementation of the media project β€œEpisch! Deutsch”, created in 2015 within the framework of the subject β€œGerman language” at the Department of Media Linguistics of the Faculty of Journalism of Moscow State University named after M. V. Lomonosov. The conclusion is made that it is necessary to develop methodological criteria and educational standards that regulate video blogging as a way of teaching and methodological work, also a providing an opportunity for development of teachers’ professional qualification. Practical significance.     Crystal structure and conductivity of bismuth-containing complex oxides

    In the paper, a comprehensive systematic study of different classes of bismuth containing oxide compounds was carried out. The relationship between composition, temperature and concentration regions of existence of stable, specific structure and properties of solid solutions on the basis of vanadates, molybdates, niobates and bismuth was found. The general regularities of synthesis of solid solutions with different variants of solid-phase and soluble methods were determined. On this basis, the optimal conditions for obtaining single-phase materials were formulated. For the first time the temperature and concentration boundaries of the regions of homogeneity and areas of stable existence of polymorphic modifications of solid solutions were defined and/or refined. The structural parameters of the synthesized phases were determined. By the method of electrochemical impedance spectroscopy the nature and features of impedance spectra, the temperature and concentration dependences of electrical conductivity of ceramic materials based on bismuth containing complex oxides were identified

    MSSM-inspired multifield inflation

    Despite the fact that experimentally with a high degree of statistical significance only a single Standard Model--like Higgs boson is discovered at the LHC, extended Higgs sectors with multiple scalar fields not excluded by combined fits of the data are more preferable theoretically for internally consistent realistic models of particle physics. We analyze the inflationary scenarios which could be induced by the two-Higgs doublet potential of the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM) where five scalar fields have nonminimal couplings to gravity. Observables following from such MSSM-inspired multifield inflation are calculated and a number of consistent inflationary scenarios are constructed. Cosmological evolution with different initial conditions for the multifield system leads to consequences fully compatible with observational data on the spectral index and the tensor-to-scalar ratio. It is demonstrated that the strong coupling approximation is precise enough to describe such inflationary scenarios.Comment: 27 pages, 4 figures, 5 tables. Version to appear in JHEP.     Preparation and characterization of Bi26–2xMn2xMo10O69-d and Bi26.4Mn0.6Mo10–2yMe2yO69-d(Me = V, Fe) solid solutions

    Received: 06.06.2017; accepted: 23.06.2017; published: 14.07.2017.Single phase samples of bismuth molybdate, Bi26Mo10O69, doped with Mn on the bismuth sublattice and V, Fe on the molybdenum sublattice were found to crystallize in the triclinic Bi26Mo10O69 structure at low doping levels and in the monoclinic Bi26Mo10O69 structure - at higher dopant concentration. The assumption that all Mn ions have an oxidation state of +2 was confirmed by means of magnetic measurement results analysis using Curie-Weiss law. Conductivity was investigated using impedance spectroscopy. The conductivity of Bi26.4Mn0.6Mo9.6Fe0.4O69-d was 1.2*10-2 S*cm-1 at 973 K and 2.2*10-4 S*cm-1 at 623 K, and the conductivity of Bi26.4Mn0.6Mo9.2V0.8O69-d was 2.2*10-3 S*cm-1 at 973 K and 2.2*10-5 S*cm-1 at 623 K
