Disputes are inevitable. Disputes can occur in almost all aspects of life . In Karo communities, disputes are generally associated with the object of inheritance . Land as one of the objects of inheritance is considered to have more value in Karo communities . Therefor disputes that occur are usually associated with land ownership . Due to the disputes that happens is still in the realm Karo local law, then Karo customary law and existing national laws should be taken into account.

The public interest is the foundation of any norms and rules of law in force in the Republic of Indonesia. It’s because the public interest is most important than others, such as the interests of the state, the interest of a group, and the interests of the individual, after that the public interest is the reason for removing the offense if it can be proved that the punishable act was done in the public interests, in accordance with Article 310 Paragraph (3) of the Criminal Code. As we all know the activities of the Press often cause problems where the press is considered a crime to make " the public interest" an excuse for his actions, regardless of whether the source of the news is true or not. In press activities, other legislation that serves as the founding members of the press to make an article is the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number. 40 of 1999 on the Press, which regulates the press freedom (sometimes called freedom of the press). Those two things make the press feel that the offense should be resolved by way of press releases, and no longer use the Code as a legal basis. In other words, the Press Act serves as Lex specialis of the Code of Penal Code (Code) in the case of defamation, detraction, and mockery, as well as to resolve disputes with other press

EuCRUST-07: A new reference model for the European crust

We present a new digital model ( EuCRUST-07) for the crust of Western and Central Europe and surroundings ( 35 degrees N - 71 degrees N, 25 degrees W - 35 degrees E). Available results of seismic reflection, refraction and receiver functions studies are assembled in an integrated model at a uniform grid ( 15 ' x 15 '). The model consists of three layers: sediments and two layers of the crystalline crust. Besides depth to the boundaries, we provide average P-wave velocities in the upper and lower parts of the crystalline crust. The new model demonstrates large differences in the Moho depth compared to previous compilations, over +/- 10 km in some specific areas ( e. g. the Baltic Shield). Furthermore, the velocity structure of the crust is much more heterogeneous than in previous maps. EuCRUST-07 offers a starting point for numerical modeling of deeper structures by allowing correction for crustal effects beforehand and to resolve trade-off with mantle heterogeneities

Membumikan Budaya Sumatera Utara “Batak Juga Punya Batik”

Indonesia culture plagiarism by other country used to be a hot issue caused the culture it self has been a long time left or dissocialized in general public. One of the cultures that almost claimed by other country is Batik, but finally it got UNESCO recognition as Indonesia culture heritage. Program Kreativitas Mahasiswa (PKM) powered by DIKTI is one of a simple way to contribute in development and keeping the cultures of Indonesia, by following this program we are able to empower local potency art of culture and tourism in North Sumatera especially in form of batik, T-Shirt, and other batik product. Beside that, the effort of batik batak product become one of potential business opportunities for students either in doing the lectures or after graduation

A Thermo-Compositional Model of the African Cratonic Lithosphere

Recently, the continually increasing availability of seismic data has allowed high-resolution imaging of lithospheric structure beneath the African cratons. In this study, S-wave seismic tomography is combined with high resolution satellite gravity data in an integrated approach to investigate the structure of the cratonic lithosphere of Africa. A new model for the Moho depth and data on the crustal density structure is employed along with global dynamic models to calculate residual topography and mantle gravity residuals. Corrections for thermal effects of an initially juvenile mantle are estimated based on S-wave tomography and mineral physics. Joint inversion of the residuals yields necessary compositional adjustments that allow to recalculate the thermal effects. After several iterations, we obtain a consistent model of upper mantle temperature, thermal and compositional density variations, and Mg# as a measure of depletion, as well as an improved crustal density model. Our results show that thick and cold depleted lithosphere underlies West African, northern to central eastern Congo, and Zimbabwe Cratons. However, for most of these regions, the areal extent of their depleted lithosphere differs from the respective exposed Archean shields. Meanwhile, the lithosphere of Uganda, Tanzania, most of eastern and southern Congo, and the Kaapvaal Craton is thinner, warmer, and shows little or no depletion. Furthermore, the results allow to infer that the lithosphere of the exposed Archean shields of Congo and West African cratons was depleted before the single blocks were merged into their respective cratons
