The correspondence between a plane curve and its complement
Given two irreducible curves of the plane which have isomorphic complements,
it is natural to ask whether there exists an automorphism of the plane that
sends one curve on the other.
This question has a positive answer for a large family of curves and
H.Yoshihara conjectured that it is true in general. We exhibit counterexamples
to this conjecture, over any ground field. In some of the cases, the curves are
isomorphic and in others not; this provides counterexamples of two different
kinds.
Finally, we use our construction to find the existence of surprising

A classification of four-state spin edge Potts models
We classify four-state spin models with interactions along the edges
according to their behavior under a specific group of symmetry transformations.
This analysis uses the measure of complexity of the action of the symmetries,
in the spirit of the study of discrete dynamical systems on the space of
parameters of the models, and aims at uncovering solvable ones. We find that
the action of these symmetries has low complexity (polynomial growth, zero
entropy). We obtain natural parametrizations of various models, among which an
unexpected elliptic parametrization of the four-state chiral Potts model, which
we use to localize possible integrability conditions associated with high genus

Algebraic entropy and the space of initial values for discrete dynamical systems
A method to calculate the algebraic entropy of a mapping which can be lifted
to an isomorphism of a suitable rational surfaces (the space of initial values)
are presented. It is shown that the degree of the th iterate of such a
mapping is given by its action on the Picard group of the space of initial
values. It is also shown that the degree of the th iterate of every
Painlev\'e equation in sakai's list is at most and therefore its

Electrotransport and magnetic properies of Cr-GaSb spintronic materials synthesized under high pressure
Electrotarnsport and magnetic properties of new phases in the system Cr-GaSb
were studied. The samples were prepared by high-pressure (P=6-8 GPa)
high-temperature treatment and identified by x-ray diffraction and scanning
electron microscopy (SEM). One of the CrGaSb phases with an
orthorhombic structure has a combination of ferromagnetic and
semiconductor properties and is potentially promising for spintronic
applications. Another high-temperature phase is paramagnetic and identified as
tetragonal
Complexity and integrability in 4D bi-rational maps with two invariants
In this letter we give fourth-order autonomous recurrence relations with two
invariants, whose degree growth is cubic or exponential. These examples
contradict the common belief that maps with sufficiently many invariants can
have at most quadratic growth. Cubic growth may reflect the existence of
non-elliptic fibrations of invariants, whereas we conjecture that the
exponentially growing cases lack the necessary conditions for the applicability

Proton NMR of water colloidal solutions of nanosized crystalline LaF3and LaF3: Gd3+ particles

A study of the nuclear magnetic relaxation of water protons in a series of colloidal solutions of nanosized lanthanum trifluoride and lanthanum fluoride particles, doped with gadolinium (0.5%). The proton NMR signal was recorded by a "Proton-20 M (Chromatech)" spectrometer. It is established that the rate of longitudinal relaxation depends on the nanoparticle concentration in the water solution, and on their dimension. It is demonstrated that the proton relaxation rate in the LaF3:Gd3+ solution increases with paramagnet concentration in the nanoparticles, and decreases with increasing particle size
Proton-Radical Interaction in Crude Oil - A Combined NMR and EPR Study

We present a detailed study of electron/nuclear interaction in a specific crude oil by continuous-wave and pulsed EPR, electron-nuclear double resonance (ENDOR) at W-band (94 GHz), and fast field-cycling dynamic nuclear polarization (FFC-DNP) at X-band. A perceptible non-Overhauser (solid) effect is found at room temperature as a result of the polarization transfer from the intrinsic oil "free" radicals to the 1H nuclei with different dynamics. On the basis of the analysis of the longitudinal nuclear relaxation times, three dynamical components described by different electron-proton coupling parameters were found, which in combination with ENDOR provides information about the distribution of the radicals in the high-molecular oil components

Introduction. Acute cerebrovascular accident is recognized as the leading pathology in the structure of cerebrovascular diseases (CVD). Annually 6 million cases of CVD are registered in the world. Fatal outcomes from this pathology in Russia occur 1.5β2 times more often than in developed countries. According to the All-Russian Center for Preventive Medicine, 25% of males and 39% of females die from CVD. The incidence of CVD in Russia ranges from 460 to 560 cases per 100 thousand people. This pathology may be caused by carotid artery stenosis resulting from atherosclerotic vascular lesions and plaque formation which lead to embolism and stroke.Materials and methods. The study analyzed 341 medical histories of patients hospitalized at the Bashkir State Medical University Clinic (BSMU Clinic) in 2022, who underwent carotid endarterectomy (CEE) (288 of them had a history of chronic cerebrovascular accident) and 278 medical histories of patients with acute cerebrovascular accident, hospitalized at the Neurologic Clinic of the Avicenna Tajik State Medical University in 2022.Results and discussion. Perioperative complications that occurred during CEE at BSMU Clinic in 2022 included 12 cases of acute cerebrovascular accident of ischemic type (3.52%) and 2 cases of transient ischemic attack (0.6%), which is lower than the same rates in previously published observations at the same clinic.Conclusion. The number of complications resulting from the CEE does not exceed the global rates. Quantitative and qualitative indicators of carotid reconstructions demonstrate positive trends. Acute cerebrovascular accident requires clarifying the cause of its occurrence and taking measures to prevent ischemic strokes, including angiosurgical interventions.ΠΠ²Π΅Π΄Π΅Π½ΠΈΠ΅.
