    The finding of the presence of seminal fluid and sperm was the gold standard of the examination from victim of sexual crimes. A total from 75.6% of victims of sexual crimes were late to report to the authorities. The influence of air temperature, humidity, CO2 and sunlight exposure directly to the spermatozoa were the occurrence of DNA\u27s fragmentation. DNA\u27s fragmentation causes disruption of the bond between the DNA and acid fushsin, so the sperm\u27s morphology could not be seen with the test Baechi. Air temperature and air humidity were not affect to spermine picric. This study is a descriptive research and experimental design in to knew the influence of time, air temperature, air humidity on the results of seminal fluid and spermatozoa\u27s examination. This study uses Barberio test for the identification of seminal fluid and sperm test Baechi for identification. The results of this study was still finding spermatozoa with Baechi test for ten days and still finding semen with Barberio test for fifteen days

    1001–24 Local Delivery of Urokinase to Porcine Coronary Arteries Using the Localmed Infusion Sleeve

    Local Delivery of thrombolytic agents may reduce thrombus formation after balloon angioplasty. The Localmed Infusion Sleeve enables localized infusion of urokinase to be performed at the time of balloon angioplasty without the need for catheter exchange.MethodsBalloon angioplasty was performed on 13 coronary arteries of 5 pigs at 4 atmospheres with a balloon to artery ratio of approximately 1.1 to 1. After angioplasty the Infusion Sleeve was advanced over the dilatation balloon and the balloon was reinflated to 2 atmospheres to appose the sleeve to the vessel wall. 50,000 Units (8 cc) of 123l-urokinase was infused through the microperforations in the sleeve for 10 seconds by a computer controlled pump. The coronaries were then excised and counted in a gamma counter.ResultsConclusions(1) The Localmed Infusion Sleeve enables drug infusion to be uncoupled from balloon dilatation. (2) Successful delivery of Urokinase to the vessel wall may be achieved using this device without the need for catheter exchange. (3) Persistence of urokinase within the vessel wall occurs after local delivery

    Development of a cutting edge temperature measurement of end mill tool by using infrared radiation technique

    This paper describes the development of cutting temperature measurement of end mill tool by using infrared radiation technique approach. Compared to conventional thermocouple technique, infrared radiation technique is an advance method of measuring temperature which featured high accuracy, high response rate, wide range of temperature scale detection and almost compatible with all materials used in the manufacturing industry. We measures the emission of infrared radiation from the source, which is cutting edge of tool by using photocells that contains InAs and InSb photovoltaic detectors. Photocells converts the infrared radiation to a voltage signal and then recorded by oscilloscope followed with a calibration with its corresponding temperature. This paper discussed about the calibration method, cutting experiment setup, the limit of infrared radiation level detected by photocells, signal correction of output signal, and relations of peak signal formation with rotation of end mill tool. The developed pyrometer is also capable to profile the cutting tool’s rotation based on the movements of infrared radiation’s emission at cutting tool’s edge. The conclusion was that the measurement of cutting temperature of high speed machining by using infrared radiation technique is possible. The developed pyrometer are capable to detect temperature changes at a span of 0.01 ms

    Incontinence in Individuals with Rett Syndrome: A Comparative Study

    Frequency and type of incontinence and its association with other variables were assessed in females with Rett Syndrome (RS) (n = 63), using an adapted Dutch version of the ‘Parental Questionnaire: Enuresis/Urinary Incontinence’ (Beetz et al. 1994). Also, incontinence in RS was compared to a control group consisting of females with non-specific (mixed) intellectual disability (n = 26). Urinary incontinence (UI) (i.e., daytime incontinence and nocturnal enuresis) and faecal incontinence (FI) were found to be common problems among females with RS that occur in a high frequency of days/nights. UI and FI were mostly primary in nature and occur independent of participants’ age and level of adaptive functioning. Solid stool, lower urinary tract symptoms and urinary tract infections (UTI’s) were also common problems in females with RS. No differences in incontinence between RS and the control group were found, except for solid stool that was more common in RS than in the control group. It is concluded that incontinence is not part of the behavioural phenotype of RS, but that there is an increased risk for solid stool in females with RS

    Electrophysiological correlates of reinforcement learning in young people with Tourette syndrome with and without co-occurring ADHD symptoms

    Altered reinforcement learning is implicated in the causes of Tourette syndrome (TS) and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). TS and ADHD frequently co-occur but how this affects reinforcement learning has not been investigated. We examined the ability of young people with TS (n = 18), TS+ADHD (N = 17), ADHD (n = 13) and typically developing controls (n = 20) to learn and reverse stimulus-response (S-R) associations based on positive and negative reinforcement feedback. We used a 2 (TS-yes, TS-no) x 2 (ADHD-yes, ADHD-no) factorial design to assess the effects of TS, ADHD, and their interaction on behavioural (accuracy, RT) and event-related potential (stimulus-locked P3, feedback-locked P2, feedback-related negativity, FRN) indices of learning and reversing the S-R associations. TS was associated with intact learning and reversal performance and largely typical ERP amplitudes. ADHD was associated with lower accuracy during S-R learning and impaired reversal learning (significantly reduced accuracy and a trend for smaller P3 amplitude). The results indicate that co-occurring ADHD symptoms impair reversal learning in TS+ADHD. The implications of these findings for behavioural tic therapies are discussed
