Detection of Link Failures and Autonomous Reconfiguration in WMNs

    Get PDF
During their lifetime, multihop wireless mesh networks (WMNs) experience frequent link failures caused by channel interference, dynamic obstacles, and/or applications’ bandwidth demands. By reconfiguring these link failures ARS generates an effective reconfiguration plan that requires only local network configuration changes by exploiting channel, radio, and path diversity. ARS effectively identifies reconfiguration plans that satisfy QoS constraints. And ARS's online reconfigurability allows for real-time time failure detection and network reconfiguration. ARS is mainly evaluated in IEEE 802.11a networks. It's design goal is to reconfigure from network link failures accurately. Even then WMNs face some frequent link failures. By overcome these problems  we present Localized sElf-reconfiGuration algOrithms  (LEGO) to autonomously and effectively  recnfigure from wireless link failures. First, LEGO locally detects link failures. Second, it dynamically forms/deforms a local group for cooperative network reconfiguration among local mesh routers in a fully distributed manner. Next, LEGO intelligently generates a local network reconfiguration plan. Finally, by figuring local channel utilization and reconfiguration cost in its planning, LEGO maximizes the network’s ability to meet diverse links’ QoS demands. LEGO has been implemented on a Linux-based system and experimented on a real life test bed, demonstrating its effectiveness in recovering from link failures and its improvement of channel efficiency by up to 92%. Activities of invertase and cellulase as influenced by the application of tridemorph and captan to groundnut (Arachis hypogaea) soil

A laboratory experiment was conducted to study the effect of selected fungicides, tridemorph and captan, at concentrations ranging from 0 to10 kg ha-1 on the activity of invertase and cellulase in a vertisol. The activities of invertase and cellulase were significantly more at tridemorph and captan levels of 2.5 and 5.0 kg ha-1, respectively. But at higher concentrations of 7.5 and 10 kg ha-1 respectively, tridemorph and captan were toxic to both cellulase and invertase activities. In soil samples receiving 2.5-5.0 kg ha-1 of the fungcides, the accumulation of reducing sugar was pronounced more at 20 days, and the activity of the invertase and cellulase was drastically decreased with increasing period of incubation up to 30 and 40 days. Keywords: Fungicides, invertase, cellulase, groundnut, Arachis hypogae

    Expert System for Group Technology

    Get PDF
An expert system for solving group technology (GT) problems has been developed, considering simplified models of industrial GT problems. It solves problems of varying characteristics using in-built algorithms, namely average linkage clustering algorithms (ALC), cluster identification algorithms (CI) and generalised p-median model. Depending upon the characteristics of GT problem, a suitable algorithm is selected. The algorithm takes the required inputs for the problem and gives the output, which consists of machine cells with corresponding part families and the bottleneck parts, if any

A CLINICAL STUDY ON THE EFFECT OF UTKLESHANA, DOSHAHARA AND SAMSHAMANA VASTI IN THE MANAGEMENT OF AMAVATA

Basti Chikitsakarma is one of supreme therapy for the elimination of vitiated Vatadosha and has entity to entice all Doshas. In the present clinical practice with the reference of Acharya Sushruta, the scientific application of Utkleshana, Doshaharaand Samshana Vasti has an approach towards Datugatadoshaharana in all aspects of diseases. Among them one of the most crippling, disabling and debilitating disorder is Amavata. So looking to the etiopathogenesis of Amavata, it shows a Bahudoshayuktavyadhi mainly involvement Vata, Kaphadoshas and a part of Pitta predominantly. Its Udbhavasthana in Ama Pakwashaya, Sancharasthana in Rasavaha and annavahasrotas, Adhistana and Vyktasthana are Kaphasthana like AmashayaSandhi etc. As it is a Kastasadhyaswabhava, it needs a complete inclusive treatment. In that view the application of Utkleshanabasti, followed by Doshaharabasti and finally Samshamanabasti is selected.A total of 30 patients presenting with symptomatology of Amavata were simple randomly selected for study. The study design, schedule, duration and follow-up of the treatment have clearly explained. Subjective and objective criterias were statistically analyzed before and after treatment by applied standard statistical method. All subjective and objective parameters showed highly substantial significant result of 73.33% and 80.28 mean grade result found among 22 patients out of 30 Amavata patients and a high significant fair result of 26.66% and 71.96 mean grade result found among 08 patients out of 30 Amavata patients. The overall assessment mean result was 76.12 in both subjective and objective parameters were observed

    Genetics of Ayurveda in Infertility

    Get PDF
Introduction: Infertility is the clinical entity where couple fail to conceive even after one year of regular unprotected sexual activity. Many factors are responsible for infertility like ovulation defects, spermatogenic failure, parental age, obesity, anatomical defects, infections, also with specific karyotype and genotype. Materials and Methods: Data was collected from Classical references and modern textual references to show how Ayurveda explains beautifully about the infertility, genetic cause for it. Results: Effort are made to explain genetic theory according to Ayurveda in the context of Infertility Discussion: To have a healthy individual constitution impact of certain factors are very essential, which includes healthy reproductive organs of both male and female, healthy sperm and ovum, dietic regimen, Prakruti of couple, seasonal effect, Panchamahabhoota and Shadbhavas. Impact of Doshas on these will have vital role in formation of genetic code and reproductive capacity of individual. Hence all the above factors may be said as factors responsible for genetic modification influencing the fertility in Ayurveda. This knowledge is highly essential and need of the day for welfare of better society with good progeny through means of Ayurveda

Coat protein sequence comparison of south Indian isolates of Papaya ringspot virus with other Indian subcontinent isolates

    Get PDF
Papaya ringspot virus (PRSV) is an economically important pathogen causing the most devastating disease in papaya worldwide. Isolates of PRSV originating from different geographical regions in south India were collected and maintained on natural host papaya. The 3’ terminal region of about 1.7 kb comprising a part of the nuclear inclusion b (NIb) gene, complete coat protein (CP) gene and the 3’ untranslated region (3’UTR) of seven Papaya ringspot virus (PRSV) isolates from south India were cloned and sequenced. The CP nucleotide and deduced amino acid sequences of seven isolates were compared to each other and to sequences of 22 other PRSV isolates from different geographical locations in the Indian subcontinent. The sequence comparisons revealed greater sequence divergence (up to 18.4% and 15% at nucleotide and amino acid levels, respectively) within Indian PRSV populations. All south Indian isolates were clearly separated from isolates of other geographical regions and formed a major group in phylogenetic trees, and the clustering pattern of isolates did not correlate well with their geographical origins

The Smartphones usage has increased a lot with the advancement in technology coupled withincrease in their computing power. Smart phones are used by many people to store personal datasuch as images, files, contacts, videos and official data like confidential documents. They are also used maintain accounts like Gmail, Facebook, Twitter etc. So the security of smart phones is very important in order to restrict unauthorized access. This application mainly helps to enhance the security of smartphones. It provides real time acknowledgement to the user by sending an SMS and email for the registered mobile number and email id, when someone tries to unlock the mobile. It also provides the image of the persontrying to access the mobile along with the location details
