Codecomposition of a Transformation Semigroup

No full text
The present paper deals with the concept of “codecomposition” of a transformation semigroup interacting with the phase semigroup. In this way, we distinguish new classes of transformation semigroups with meaningful relations, e.g., we show the class of all distal transformation semigroups ⊂, the class of all transformation semigroups decomposable into distal semigroups ⊂, and the class of all transformation semigroups (here, ⊂ is strict inclusion).

Synthesis of imine congeners of resveratrol and evaluation of their anti-platelet activity

Resveratrol (3,5,4\u2032-trihydroxy-trans-stilbene) is a cardioprotective phytochemical occurring in many plant products. In this study, a new series of imine congeners of resveratrol has been synthesized in which the imine moiety replaced the double bond in the structure of resveratrol. In addition, the in vitro antiplatelet activity of these resveratrol derivatives has been evaluated against adenosine diphosphate (ADP), arachidonic acid (AA), and collagen as platelet aggregation inducers. In general, the synthesized compounds were active as antiplatelet agents, and, therefore, the imine functional group may be considered as an effective replacement for a double bond in resveratrol for developing new and promising antiplatelet drugs

The purpose of this research is green chemistry education with the design and implementation of green chemistry experiments in stoichiometric subject in high school. The designing experiment was used to compare the green chemistry learning of experimental and control groups with pre-testing and post testing. The school selecting as well as the class selecting and assigning them to experimental and control groups، is random sampling. The method was done in two stages, to begin the practical in education on the basis of green chemistry (Independent variable) experiment was performed by "How glue is made?" experiment. A next step, teaching saponification by means of green chemistry dealing with tendency aspects and stoichiometric topics of the subject is considered as in experiment which covers many of green chemistry objectives by experimental group. Saponification experiment was done for control group without considering green chemistry objects. The data collected through teacher-made tests for cognitive domain of learners and check lists for tendency and painting open drawing in green chemistry for skill domain of learners. In this study, statistic population consist of experimental group (N=30) and control group (N=30) in high school girl students in Jafarabad city. The research has been done through descriptive–evaluative method. The research has been done through descriptive–evaluative method. The results clearly indicated that the principle of 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 11 and 12 of green chemistry principles were learned by experimental group. Also, teaching on the basis of green chemistry objectives, play important role in educating responsible students discovering talent students, training creativity, encouraging and motivating students to study and research in the field of green chemistry and replacing green method by classical method

Background: Epidural steroid injection is a non-operative minimally invasive procedure for pain relief in spinal canal stenosis. However, there is no significant consensus regarding its efficacy. Objectives: In this study, we aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of translaminar injection of triamcinolone in lumbar canal stenosis. Methods: In a retrospective study, we included 111 patients with MRI-confirmed spinal canal stenosis who were irresponsive to 12 weeks of conservative treatment and underwent epidural injection of triamcinolone through the translaminar approach. Outcome measures were routinely checked before the intervention and four weeks after the intervention, which included the Visual Analog scale (VAS) for low back pain, VAS for lower-limb pain, and Oswestry Disability index (ODI). Results: The study population included 32 (28.8) males and 79 (71.2) females with the mean age of 61 ± 13.4 years. The mean ODI, VAS for low back pain, and VAS for lower-limb pain significantly improved at the final evaluation session (P < 0.001, P = 0.001, and P < 0.001, respectively). The levels of improvement in ODI, VAS for low back pain, and VAS for lower-limb pain were considerably more in patients with single-level involvement (P < 0.001, P = 0.04, and P < 0.001, respectively). Improvement of lower-limb VAS was negatively correlated with age (r =-0.400, P < 0.001) and BMI (r =-0.525, P < 0.001). The ODI improvement was also negatively correlated with BMI (r =-0.569, P < 0.001). Conclusions: Epidural injection of triamcinolone through the translaminar approach could be regarded as an efficacious method for the alleviation of pain and disability in patients with spinal canal stenosis. © 2020, Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine

Common Fixed Points of Single-Valued and Multi-Valued Mappings in S-Metric Spaces

In this paper, the notion of limit property (-Tayyab kamran, 2004-) and common limit property (-Yicheng Liu & Jun Wu & Zhixiang Li, 2005-) for singlevalued and multi-valued mappings on metric spaces are generalized to S-metric spaces. This idea is used to make some common fixed point theorems for singlevalued and multi-valued mappings by using a generalization of coincidence point in S-metric spaces. We give an example of an S-metric which is not continuous
