Abstract: The use of Visualization Auditory Kinestetic (Vak) Model with Multimedia in Improving IPS Learning Outcomes About Indonesian Independence Proclamation In Grade V Students of SD Negeri 1 Surotrunan of Teaching Year 2016 / 2017. The purpose of this study is to improve the learning outcomes of IPS about the proclamation of Indonesian independence. This study is a collaborative action study (PTK). The subjects of this study are teachers and students of class V, amounting to 23 students. Data collection techniques in research, are observation, interviews, and tests. Data validity was using source triangulation and engineering triangulation. Data analysis was using data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results showed that the application of Visualization Auditory Kinestetic (VAK) model with multimedia can improve IPS learning result.Keywords: Kinestetic Visualization Auditory, multimedia, IPS learning outcome

An optimal two-level supply chain model for Small- and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) considering rework for new products and price-dependent demands

With the advent of new technologies, several factors such as globalization of markets, customers' different needs, and increasingly fierce economic competition have encouraged Small- and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) to improve their engagement with suppliers and to involve themselves with cost management practices in order to survive. SMEs clearly need to focus on the interests of the entire supply chain by enacting win-win policies. In this regard, the present study investigated a two-level inventory model featuring a manufacturer and a buyer in the competitive market with the policy of producing new products. The proposed model took into account imperfect and low-quality products and their capacities for rework. In other words, due to the competitive nature of the market, any increase in prices would lead to a decrease in demand. The mathematical model was proposed in two scenarios: one with the possibility of shortage and one without it. The objective function of the mathematical model revolves around maximizing the total profit of the supply chain considering both independent and joint optimization by the supply chain members. A new algorithm was then proposed to solve the mathematical model whose applicability was evaluated by using a numerical example in the analysis software MATLAB as the input. On income, democracy, political stability, and internal armed conflicts

Whether or not a country is likely to encounter an internal armed conflict is considered in the literature to depend, among other things, on its extent of economic and political development. Using a dataset covering 139 countries over the 1961-2011 period, we find that a country’s per capita income has an unambiguously negative effect on the probability that it encounters an armed conflict as long as it does not suffer from a severe political instability. In contrast, countries that experience severe political instability are more likely to encounter an armed conflict the higher is their per capita income. The policy implication of our result is clear: safeguarding political stability during hard times is essential – and should take precedence over enhancing democracy and economic growth – for reducing the risk of internal armed conflicts. Our findings do not undermine the importance of protecting democratic institution or accountability, but underscore the importance of collaboration across opposing parties to progress while preserving the political stabilit
