Little is known concerning novel interactions between species that typically interact in their native range but, as a consequence of human activity, are also interacting out of their original distribution under new ecological conditions. Objective: We investigate the interaction between the orange tree and wild boar, both of which share Asian origins and have been introduced to the Americas (i.e. the overseas). Methods: Specifically, we assessed whether i) wild boars consume orange (Citrus sinensis) fruits and seeds in orchards adjacent to a remnant of the Atlantic Forest of Brazil, ii) the orange seeds are viable after passing through boar’s digestive tract and iii) whether the orange tree may naturalise in the forest remnant assisted by wild boars. Results: Our camera surveys indicated that wild boar was by far the most frequent consumer of orange fruits (40.5 % of camera trap-days). A considerable proportion of sown orange seeds extracted from fresh boar feces emerged seedlings (27.8 %, N = 386) under controlled greenhouse conditions. Further, 37.6 % of sown seeds (N = 500) in the forest remnant emerged seedlings in July 2015; however, after ~4 years (March 2019) only 9 seedlings survived (i.e. 4.8 %, N = 188). Finally, 52 sweet orange seedlings were found during surveys within the forest remnant which is intensively used by wild boars. This study indicates a high potential of boars to act as effective seed dispersers of the sweet orange. However, harsh competition with native vegetation and the incidence of lethal diseases, which quickly kill sweet orange trees under non-agricultural conditions, could seriously limit orange tree establishment in the forest. Conclusions: Our results have important implications not only because the wild boar could be a vector of potential invasive species, but also because they disperse seeds of some native species (e.g. the queen palm, Syagrus romanzofiana) in defaunated forests, where large native seed dispersers are missing; thus, wild boars could exert critical ecological functions lost due to human activityinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersio

Performance of a U-OWC – PTO coupled system using different control laws

The problem of maximizing the performances of a U-OWC wave energy converter in a variet of environmental conditions is investigated. Specifically, the paper compares two control strategies coupling the U-OWC – PTO system. Two approaches are discussed. The first relies on the tracking of the Maximum Power Points of the system, and empirical relations between the optimal PTO performances and the energy content of the incident sea state are estimated. Secondly, an analytical formulation linking the operational conditions of the turbine to the instantaneous air pressure inside the pneumatic chamber is identified. Results show that a sea state-based controller works better than a wave-to wave fast-acting control

The purpose of this study to analyze The relationship between the emotional support of the family and the self-acceptance of the elderly in Watutumou Village III. The research method is analytical descriptive with cross sectional design. The sampling technique in this study is purposive sampling with the sample number of 60 respondents. The data collection is done by using a questionnaire and interview sheet. Processing data using computer program with Pearson chi-square test with a significance level of 95% (α =, 005). The results of this study using pearson chi-square analysis showed that there was a relationship between the emotional support of the family and the self-acceptance of the elderly in Watutumou III Village (p = 0,000). Conclusion There is a relationship between the emotional support of the family with self-acceptance in the elderly in Watutumou Village III

: Hospital is institution in healthy service which held individual healthy service by paripurna that provide service protect and opname, protect and stay home, and emergency. Response Time is the time between from beginning of particular responsed request in other word can called response time. The good response time for patient's is ≤ 5 minutes. Truth more easier to grow among people who those have the equality of joint and goal, so, it caused make easy to change truth of individually more than the truth of group. Goal of research is to analyze Relation Between Nurse Response Time With Truth Level of Patient's Family At Yellow Triage In Instalation Emergency Unit RSU GMIM Kalooran Amurang. Research Designe in this research is analytical observational, with using planning Cross Sectional. Sample taken by Total Sampling technique which approximately amount around 69 respondences. Research Result with using chi-square try got score p value = 0,008 more fewer from α = 0,05. Conclusion in this research is, lied relation that significant between Nurse Response Time With Truth Level of Patient's Family At Yellow Triage In Instalation Emergency Unit RSU GMIM Kalooran Amurang. Recommendation really hope this research can be used for develope research to continue study for the researchers who have will to developing research in the same discussion field in nursing section of emergency

In women who work them faced with many choices posed by the changing role that also have a role as a woman who must work to support the family finances, which carried the dual role as a nurse in the ward nursing care giver often lead to conflict. The research objective is to identify the conflict of dual role in female nurses as care giver, Work stress on the nurses, and the dual role of relationship conflict and work stress on female nurses in Psychiatric Hospital Prof. Dr. V. L. Ratumbuysang North Sulawesi province. The research design was observational Analytical, using cross sectional approach. The sampling technique used purposive sampling, with a sample of 44 nurses. The results using the Fisher exact test found significant value is 0,001 with 1,800 eustress opportunities. Conclusions The results showed no relationship conflicts dual role as a care giver female nurses with work stress in Psychiatric Hospital Prof. Dr. V. L. Ratumbuysang. Suggestion The result is expected to be split between the nurse's work problems with family problems by not bringing work home problems and also did not bring up problems at home into the workplace

: Insomnia is difficulty initiating and maintaining sleep so can not meet the need for adequate sleep , both quantity and quality. Smoking is one of the causes of insomnia. Smoking is an act of burning a tabacco which inhaled the smoke from the burning process in a form of cigarette or a pipe. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship of smoking with the incidence of insomnia in adolescents at SMA N 1 Remboken Minahasa District. The research method is used observational analytic with cross sectional design. The sampling technique in research is total sampling with 47 sample. Data collected by using a questionnaire. The results based on statistical test Chi - Square with a 95 % significance level ( α ≤ 0.05 ) are presented in the table 2x2 obtained by value p = 0.004 which is smaller than α (0.05) with Ho rejected and Ha accepted. Conclusion there is a relationship of smoking with the incidence of insomnia in adolescents in SMA Negeri 1 Remboken Minahasa District. Advice for the educators to better supervise and prevent students who smoke because smoking can cause insomnia which impact on the learning achievement of adolescents who smoke
