    Study of Phase Composition Homogeneity in Depth of Tungsten Carbide Ceramics Produced by Spark Plasma Sintering

    Tungsten carbide (WC) ceramics obtained by spark plasma sintering were investigated by layer-by-layer X-ray diffraction analysis.     The phase content of ceramic samples WC + 10 % Co was studied. Samples were obtained in different sintering modes. The isothermal holding in the sintering process did not affect on the depth distribution of the main phases.Исследован фазовый состав керамических образцов, полученных в разных режимах спекания порошка WC+10 %Co.     Carbon impurity effect during spark plasma sintering due to the sample and graphite mold surfaces contact can lead to a changes in the phase composition of the sintered ceramics.
