This support is convinced by King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz by various media, Saudi Arabian Government pledges fresh money six day after Morsis coup.This study applies qualitative research method with library research. The data sources are from books, journals, and the Internet. This study uses security theory and nation-state level of analysis.This Research explain that Saudi Arabia under King Abdullah is the first leader supporting morsis coup.     Giant Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumor Presenting as a Palpable Abdominal Mass: An Unusual Presentation

    Gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GIST-) account for the majority of mesenchymal tumors arising within the gastrointestinal tract. GIST presenting as a palpable abdominal mass is extremely rare. We report four additional cases of a GIST presenting as an abdominal mass along with a pertinent review of the literature. Twenty five cases of GISTs presenting with an abdominal mass, including 4 cases discussed here, have been reported in the world literature since 2001. The mean duration of symptoms was 152.7 days. Twenty one of 25 (84%) patients received surgical resection. The mean tumor size was 17.2 cm, with an average mitotic index of 7.6 per 50 high power fields. Thirteen of 14 (92.9%) patients had a high-risk tumor. Five patients were disease-free at a mean followup of 11 months, 2 patients had stable disease and 2 patients had progressive disease, and one patient had a partial response. In conclusion, symptomatic patents have an increased incidence of high-risk tumors and metastases at presentation. Adjuvant therapy with imatinib improves disease-free survival in patients with large abdominal GIST tumors, but no change in overall survival was noted. Finally, GISTs should be considered in the differential diagnosis of an abdominal mass in an elderly patient

    A generalized framework unifying image registration and respiratory motion models and incorporating image reconstruction, for partial image data or full images

    Surrogate-driven respiratory motion models relate the motion of the internal anatomy to easily acquired respiratory surrogate signals, such as the motion of the skin surface. They are usually built by first using image registration to determine the motion from a number of dynamic images, and then fitting a correspondence model relating the motion to the surrogate signals. In this paper we present a generalized framework that unifies the image registration and correspondence model fitting into a single optimization. This allows the use of 'partial' imaging data, such as individual slices, projections, or k-space data, where it would not be possible to determine the motion from an individual frame of data. Motion compensated image reconstruction can also be incorporated using an iterative approach, so that both the motion and a motion-free image can be estimated from the partial image data. The framework has been applied to real 4DCT, Cine CT, multi-slice CT, and multi-slice MR data, as well as simulated datasets from a computer phantom. This includes the use of a super-resolution reconstruction method for the multi-slice MR data. Good results were obtained for all datasets, including quantitative results for the 4DCT and phantom datasets where the ground truth motion was known or could be estimated

    A Model of Gas-Phase Transport During the Initial Stages of Sintering of Silicon Carbide

    New Jersey 08854 Carbon, which is often used as an additive to silicon carbide powder, is thought to facilitate densification during sintering by aiding the removal of the native SiO 2 layer, which is present on the starting SiC powder. The mechanism is the reduction of SiO 2 to SiC with the formation of primarily CO gas, which diffuses out from the porous compact at a temperature below the normal sintering temperature. It has been found beneficial to hold the compact at an intermediate temperature to allow time for the CO and other gases to diffuse out before the pores close. We investigate this process using a computational model based on codiffusion of multiple gas species, which enables prediction of the gas and condensed phase compositions as a function of time and position in the specimen. The results are used to determine the optimum holding time for complete SiO 2 removal as a function of key parameters, such as specimen thickness, particle size, temperature, etc., as well as the necessary amount of C additive. The results of the modeling are consistent with the experimentally observed spatial variation of density and composition in SiC compacts

    A systematic analysis of host factors reveals a Med23-interferon-λ regulatory axis against herpes simplex virus type 1 replication

    Herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV-1) is a neurotropic virus causing vesicular oral or genital skin lesions, meningitis and other diseases particularly harmful in immunocompromised individuals. To comprehensively investigate the complex interaction between HSV-1 and its host we combined two genome-scale screens for host factors (HFs) involved in virus replication. A yeast two-hybrid screen for protein interactions and a RNA interference (RNAi) screen with a druggable genome small interfering RNA (siRNA) library confirmed existing and identified novel HFs which functionally influence HSV-1 infection. Bioinformatic analyses found the 358 HFs were enriched for several pathways and multi-protein complexes. Of particular interest was the identification of Med23 as a strongly anti-viral component of the largely pro-viral Mediator complex, which links specific transcription factors to RNA polymerase II. The anti-viral effect of Med23 on HSV-1 replication was confirmed in gain-of-function gene overexpression experiments, and this inhibitory effect was specific to HSV-1, as a range of other viruses including Vaccinia virus and Semliki Forest virus were unaffected by Med23 depletion. We found Med23 significantly upregulated expression of the type III interferon family (IFN-λ) at the mRNA and protein level by directly interacting with the transcription factor IRF7. The synergistic effect of Med23 and IRF7 on IFN-λ induction suggests this is the major transcription factor for IFN-λ expression. Genotypic analysis of patients suffering recurrent orofacial HSV-1 outbreaks, previously shown to be deficient in IFN-λ secretion, found a significant correlation with a single nucleotide polymorphism in the IFN-λ3 (IL28b) promoter strongly linked to Hepatitis C disease and treatment outcome. This paper describes a link between Med23 and IFN-λ, provides evidence for the crucial role of IFN-λ in HSV-1 immune control, and highlights the power of integrative genome-scale approaches to identify HFs critical for disease progression and outcome
