    Get PDF
Recently, many uses of artificial intelligence have appeared in the commercial field. Artificial intelligence allows computers to analyze very large amounts of information and data, reach logical conclusions on many important topics, and make difficult decisions, this will help consumers and businesses make better decisions to improve their lives, and it will also help startups and small companies achieve great long-term success. Currency exchange rates are important matters for both governments, companies, banks and consumers. The decision tree is one of the most widely artificial intelligence tools used in data mining. With the development of this field the decision tree and Gradient boosting decision tree are used to predicate through constructed intelligent predictive system based on it. These algorithms have been used in many stock market forecasting systems based on global market data. The Iraqi dinar exchange rates for the US dollar are affected in local markets, depending on the exchange rate of the Central Bank of Iraq and the features of that auction. The proposed system is used to predict the dollar exchange rates in the Iraq markets Depending on the daily auction data of the Central Bank of Iraq (CBI). The decision tree and Gradient boosting decision tree was trained and testing using dataset of three-year issued by the CBI and compare the performance of both algorithms and find the correlation between the data. (Runtime, accuracy and correlation) criteria are adopted to select the best methods. In system, the characteristic of artificial intelligence have been integrated with the characteristic of data mining to solve problems facing organization to use available data for decision making and multi-source data linking, to provide a unified and integrated view of organization data

The current research sought to identify the role of the dimensions of green intellectual capital in strengthening the elements of the knowledge economy, by determining the level of the relationship and the impact between them and applying it on the Oil Products Distribution Company in Nineveh, the sample of study was selected intentionally. It consists of (100) managers, as it relies on collecting data and information on the main research tool (questionnaire form), a number of statistical tools have been adopted, namely (correlation coefficient, linear regression). Where many conclusions were presented, the most important of which is indicating a case of the actual contribution of the dimensions of green intellectual capital in strengthening the elements of the knowledge economy in the researched organization. It also made a set of proposals, including the need for more attention to be paid to employing the possibilities and capabilities of green intellectual capital (human, structural, social) towards strengthening the elements of the knowledge economy in the researched organization, in a way that, it contributes to enhancing efforts in support of knowledge economies and achieving added value in all directions

Evaluation of the isolation protocols of primary cells from common carp (Cyprinus carpio L.) skin tissue

In this study, pieces of skin from common carp (Cyprinus carpio L.) fish were collected freshly from juveniles from a privet fish farm in Duhok city, Kurdistan-Iraq. Those pieces of skin were cultured In Vitro by using two methods of explanting; direct explants and enzymatic pre-digested explants of tissue fragments. The results showed a highest cell yield (5×103 cell/ml) on passage 2 of enzymatic pre-digested tissues and higher cell growth rate in compare with cell yield (38×102 cell/ml) gained from direct explant tissues. Both procedures showed forming of clumped cells colonies in initial passages (P1 and P2), and the morphological changes were developed in both cells to show a fibroblast like appearance thereafter. Such findings are important and advantageous to suggest a faster and more efficient protocol for tissue culture cells isolation with lower cost and better isolation success as well

55 dB High Gain L-Band EDFA Utilizing Single Pump Source

In this paper, we experimentally investigate the performance of an efficient high gain triple-pass L-band Erbium-Doped Fiber (EDF) amplifier structure with a single pump source. The amplifier gain and noise figure variation with EDF pump power, input signal power and wavelengths have been investigated. The generated backward Amplified Spontaneous Emission (ASE) noise of the first amplifier stage is suppressed by using a tunable band-pass filter. The amplifier achieves a signal gain of 55 dB with low noise figure of 3.8 dB at -50 dBm input signal power. The amplifier gain shows significant improvement of 12.8 dB compared to amplifier structure without ASE suppression

Buprenorphine and its formulations: a comprehensive review.

    Get PDF
Buprenorphine, a novel long-acting analgesic, was developed with the intention of two purposes: analgesia and opioid use disorder. Regarding its pharmacodynamics, it is a partial agonist at mu receptors, an inverse agonist at kappa receptors, and an antagonist at delta receptors. For the purpose of analgesia, three formulations of buprenorphine were developed: IV/IM injectable formulation (Buprenex®), transdermal patch formulation (Butrans®), and buccal film formulation (Belbuca®). Related to opioid dependence, the formulations developed were subcutaneous extended release (Sublocade®), subdermal implant (Probuphine®), and sublingual tablets (Subutex®). Lastly, in order to avoid misuse of buprenorphine for opioid dependence, two combination formulations paired with naloxone were developed: film formulation (Suboxone®) and tablet formulation (Zubsolv®). In this review, we present details of each formulation along with their similarities and differences between each other and clinical considerations

Suvorexant, a Novel Dual Orexin Receptor Antagonist, for the Management of Insomnia.

PURPOSE OF REVIEW: The present investigation is a comprehensive review regarding the use of Suvorexant for insomnia treatment. It covers the background, pathophysiology, and significance of addressing insomnia, the pharmaceutical details of Suvorexant, and its safety, efficacy, and implications in treating insomnia. We further discuss Suvorexant\u27s role in targeting insomnia with other comorbidities. RECENT FINDINGS: Insomnia refers to poor quality and/or quantity of sleep. While there are many existing treatments such as benzodiazepines, melatonin agonists, TCAs, and atypical antipsychotics used to target various receptors involved in normal induction and maintenance of sleep, Suvorexant is an antagonist that specifically targets orexin receptors. Recent clinical studies suggest that Suvorexant is both clinically safe and effective. Quantity and quality of sleep are measured in various ways, yet the consensus points towards Suvorexant\u27s effectiveness in improving sleep time, onset, latency, and quality compared to placebo. In addition to helping improve isolated insomnia, Suvorexant helps improve sleep in patients that have other comorbidities such as obstructive sleep apnea, Alzheimer\u27s disease, dementia, acute stroke, and delirium. While Suvorexant is safe, there are still adverse effects associated with the drug that needs to be considered. The most common adverse effects include dizziness, somnolence, headaches, and cognitive impairment. SUMMARY: Insomnia is a major public health concern that affects many people worldwide and has been linked to many adverse health outcomes. While there are existing treatments that target different receptors and pathways of normal sleep induction and maintenance, Suvorexant is a novel drug that targets dual orexin receptors. Its safety and efficacy, mechanism of action, pharmacokinetic parameters, and relative lack of rebound and withdrawal effects render suvorexant a reliable choice for the treatment of insomnia

Spectroscopic evidence for a surface layer in CuInSe2:Cu deficiency

The near-surface region of thin-film polycrystalline (PX) CuIn1-xGaxSe2 (CIGS) is considered important because it is the region where the electrical junction forms in a CIGS photovoltaic device. Spectroscopic ellipsometry measurements of polycrystalline CuInSe2 films reveal that there is a thin layer at the surface which has different optical and electronic properties from those of the bulk film. This surface layer of thin-film CIGS has a larger band gap and greater spin-orbit interaction energy than the bulk film. These properties indicate that the surface layer is more Cu deficient than the bulk in the nearly stoichiometric thin-film PX-CIGS used in photovoltaic devices. This work provides an insight into the importance of surface layer engineering for photovoltaic device design. (C) 2007 American Institute of Physics
