ERROR MANAGEMENT IN DIGITAL ELEVATION MODELLING

The paper aims at the accuracy aspects of Digital Elevation Modelling, compares the most common data acquisition methods, data structures used to store elevation data and the biases that occur in extending the point data to derived information. General use techniques of interpolation will also be discussed, however, the greatest emphasis is given to the methods that are available as a pragmatic response to the wide spectrum of problems of error management

ÜBER EIN LANDINFORMATIONSSYSTEM FÜR DIE AUFGABEN DER ENTWÄSSERUNG

Starting with the terrain information of traditional design, requirements to the geo- graphical information systems of CAD technology are outlined. The structure of a geographical information system for LAD, means and methods of data acquisition used in design, experi- ences of development are presented. Generalizing experience in developing the CAD system, the applied hardware, pos- sibilities and limitations of given system, are given, outlining the interactive design process of the drainage network, and the applied digital models

A birtokrendezés informatikai modelljének elemzése = Analysis of the information model of land consolidation

Az adatgyűjtések területén Gyenes Róbert a GPS mérések korrekt alkalmazásához elengedhetetlen magassági referenciafelületek modellezése terén ért el kiemelkedő eredményeket. Busics György, Engler Péter és Márkus Béla kutatásokat végzett a digitális domborzatmodellek megbízhatóságának ellenőrzésére. Az adatintegrációban nagyfontosságú transzformációk közül, a 7 paraméteres 3D transzformáció egzakt megoldására Závoti József módszert dolgozott ki. Jancsó Tamás kutatásokat végzett robusztus módszerek vizsgálatára, analitikus módszereket dolgozott ki a külső tájékozási elemek direkt meghatározására kiegyenlítéssel, a durva hibával terhelt pontok kiszűrésére a tájékozási folyamat során. A földminősítés és földhasznosítás területén Dömsödi János végzett alapkutatási munkát, eredményeit Földhasználat című szakkönyvében ismertette. Az adatok megtekintéséhez, részben a rendezés variánsainak áttekintéséhez, de a kialakítandó változatokhoz is szükséges az információk térbeli és dinamikus megjelenítésének támogatása. A területfejlesztés gazdasági folyamatainak modellezésére térinformatikai rendszert és dinamikus felhasználói (döntéstámogató) felületet dolgozott ki (Guszlev Antal), mely több külföldi munkaértekezleten és konferencián elismerést aratott. Csordásné Marton Melinda matematikai modellt dolgozott ki az elaprózott területek optimális csoportosítására. | In the field of data acquisition Róbert Gyenes gained remarkable results in application of height reference surfaces modeling at GPS measurements. György Busics, Péter Engler and Béla Márkus carried out research on the quality control of digital terrain models. In the data integration among the important transformations, József Závoti worked out an exact solution for the 7-parameter 3D transformation. Tamás Jancsó carried out research on examination of gross error detection methods, he worked out a analytical method for calculation of exterior orientation elements using adjustment procedure with direct analytical algorithm including the gross error detection during the orientation procedure. In the field of land valuation and land use János Dömsödi completed a basic research work, his results was published in the professional book of ?Földhasználat?. For viewing of data, partly for the review of land management variants, but also for the variants dedicated for completion it is necessary to assure the spatial and dynamic viewing of information. For modeling of the urban development economical procedures a geoinformation system and dynamic user (decision support) interface was developed by Antal Guszlev, this system was introduced on several international workshops and conferences and it has gained reputation. Melinda Csordásné Marton worked out a mathematical model for optimal grouping of small parcels

FROM SURVEYING TO GEOMATICS

In the land surveying profession fast changes have been taking place in the last fifty years. Technological changes are generated by the Information and Communication Technologies; the analogue – digital trends; the automatic data acquisition methods replace manual ones; instead of two-dimensional base maps we use dynamic spatial databases more and more integrated into a global data infrastructure. However, these changes cause impacts also on scientific level. The traditional top-down approach substituted by bottom-up methodologies; in many cases the point-by-point measurement is changed by 3D laserscanning or Unmanned Aerial Systems, which produces huge amount of data, but it needs new algorithms for information extraction; instead of a simple data provision land surveyors support complex spatial decisions. The paper is dealing with some aspects of these changes. In the first chapter the authors would like to highlight the “data-information-knowledge” relations and the importance of changes in professional education. The second chapter gives an example of the benefits of a Global Spatial Data Infrastructure in spatial decision support. Finally we introduce a new concept (Building Information Modelling) in modelling the real world. However, until now BIM is used in building construction industry, it can can be a paradigm shift in geospatial information management in general
