International audienceThermal management and heat prediction are essential to improve the Li-ion battery operation life and performance, especially in Energy Storage System (ESS) for electric vehicles. Variation of cells temperatures of a battery pack can cause damage if not managed. In this paper, an electrochemical-thermal battery pack of three parallel-connected cylindrical Li-ion cells is modelled using COMSOL Multi-physics. The battery pack is cooled using air cooling approach with different inlet velocity to investigate its impact on the model temperature evolution , and the developed thermal model was then, charged/discharge at different temperatures to generate the essential data needed to model an electric-thermal model and identify its parameters in Matlab/Simulink software

MODELISATION ET SIMULATION D’UN SYSTEME DE PRODUCTION D’ENERGIE RENOUVELABLE MULTI-SOURCES ET MULTI-UTILISATEURS

    Get PDF

International audienceThis paper presents different dynamic models of vehicles to compare their dynamics. The main objective is to appreciate the couplings between the different model blocks after splitting systems to five sub models. The passivity approach is used and illustrated by simulation results obtained by the proposed simulator SimK106N

A Novel Maximum Power Tracking by VSAS approach for Permanent Magnet Direct Drive WECS

International audienceThis paper presents control schema of a permanent magnet synchronous generator (PMSG) system with two controllers for generator side and grid side converters in a variable speed wind turbine (VSWT) application. In generator side converter, the most efficient algorithms designed to track the maximum power point (MPP) for catching the maximum wind power is reviewed. For this approach we then design a new maximum power point tracking (MPPT) algorithm using the Variable Structure Automatic Systems approach (VSAS).The proposed approach leads efficient algorithms as shown in this paper by the analysis and simulations. The obtained results show clearly the superiority of the Modified Enhanced Perturb and Observe (MEPO) technique. Using this MPPT method the generated power by the turbine is considered to be, in terms of power control, an auxiliary source feeding a grid. In the grid side converter, active and reactive power control has been achieved by controlling d-axis and q-axis grid current components respectively. The simulation results show the efficiency and reliability of the control strategy proposed in this paper

Feb 2007, Buenos Aires, Argentina. pp.43--48, 2007International audienceIn this paper, we present a Robust Sliding Mode Observer for systems with unknown Inputs. The system considered is a vehicle model with unknown inputs that represent the attributes of the road (slope and banking of the road). This parameters affect the vehicle dynamic performance and behavior properties. Thus for vehicles and road safety analysis, it is necessary to take into account this parameters. However, slope and banking of road are difficult to measure directly. In this work we deal with a simple model of vehicle and we develop a method to observe slope and banking of the road

LIMIT CYCLES STABILITY FOR COMPLEX SYSTEM

International audienceLimit cycles are common in physical complex systems. However the nonsmooth dynamics of such systems makes stability analysis difficult. This paper gives an extension of Discrete Events System formalism to show the statibilty of Limit cycles using multiple lyapunov function
