Simple language and images ranging from the strong to the surreal are employed. The poems are primarily free verse, but are carefully ordered through the use and breaking of rhythm. There is also a thread of the biblical, linking contemporary plagues with the Pentateuch

O DISPOSITIVO DE RACIALIDADE NO VIDEOCLIPE PRETOS GANHANDO DINHEIRO INCOMODA DEMAIS, DO RAPPER CRIOLO

This research aims to develop a discursive analysis of verbo-visual statements present in the lyrics and music video of "Blacks Making Money Is Too Disturbing" (Criolo, 2023). The description and analysis of this research corpus will be conducted according to Michel Foucault's archaeo-genealogical methodology (2010, 2020, 2023), through Discourse Analysis. We will also work with Bakhtin's (2003) concept of discourse genre, Sueli Carneiro's (2023) concept of raciality device, and some contributions on racism and culture from Franz Fanon (2018). For the analysis of images, we will mobilize the discourse and image concepts from the research of Jean-Jacques Courtine (2011) and Nilton Milanez (2013). At the end, we realized that the analysis of linguistic and semiological material allowed us to see and think about the articulation of the raciality device. The analysis of the utterances revealed the way in which mechanisms such as biopower and the raciality device operate, aiming to maintain domination over the black subject, producing and circulating knowledge that influences the construction of black subjectivities.Esta pesquisa objetiva desenvolver uma análise discursiva de enunciados verbo-visuais presentes na letra da música e videoclipe de Pretos ganhando dinheiro incomoda demais (Criolo, 2023). A descrição e a análise desse corpus de pesquisa serão acionadas de acordo com a metodologia arqueogenealógica de Michel Foucault (2010, 2020, 2023), por meio da Análise do Discurso. Também trabalharemos com o conceito de gênero do discurso, de Bakhtin (2003), o conceito de dispositivo de racialidade, de Sueli Carneiro (2023), e algumas contribuições sobre racismo e cultura de Franz Fanon (2018). Para a análise das imagens, mobilizaremos os conceitos discurso e imagem das pesquisas de Jean-Jacques Courtine (2011) e de Nilton Milanez (2013). Ao término, percebemos que a análise do material linguístico e semiológico nos permitiu ver e pensar a articulação do dispositivo de racialidade. A análise dos enunciados revelou o modo com que mecanismos como o biopoder e o dispositivo de racialidade funcionam, tendo estes por finalidade manter a dominação sobre o sujeito negro, produzindo e fazendo circular saberes que influenciam na construção das subjetividades negras

Only behavioral but not self-report measures of speech perception correlate with cognitive abilities

Good speech perception and communication skills in everyday life are crucial for participation and well-being, and are therefore an overarching aim of auditory rehabilitation. Both behavioral and self-report measures can be used to assess these skills. However, correlations between behavioral and self-report speech perception measures are often low. One possible explanation is that there is a mismatch between the specific situations used in the assessment of these skills in each method, and a more careful matching across situations might improve consistency of results. The role that cognition plays in specific speech situations may also be important for understanding communication, as speech perception tests vary in their cognitive demands. In this study, the role of executive function, working memory (WM) and attention in behavioral and self-report measures of speech perception was investigated. Thirty existing hearing aid users with mild-to-moderate hearing loss aged between 50 and 74 years completed a behavioral test battery with speech perception tests ranging from phoneme discrimination in modulated noise (easy) to words in multi-talker babble (medium) and keyword perception in a carrier sentence against a distractor voice (difficult). In addition, a self-report measure of aided communication, residual disability from the Glasgow Hearing Aid Benefit Profile, was obtained. Correlations between speech perception tests and self-report measures were higher when specific speech situations across both were matched. Cognition correlated with behavioral speech perception test results but not with self-report. Only the most difficult speech perception test, keyword perception in a carrier sentence with a competing distractor voice, engaged executive functions in addition to WM. In conclusion, any relationship between behavioral and self-report speech perception is not mediated by a shared correlation with cognition

REALIDADE VIRTUAL E VIRTUALIDADE REAL: PATHOS PARADOXAIS NAS PRÁTICAS DE LEITURA POR MEIO DE HOLOGRAMAS E ÓCULOS DE REALIDADE VIRTUAL

Esse artigo apresentará resultados parciais decorrentes do plano de pesquisa intitulado Efeito de realidade na projeção hologramática e no meio virtual: inovações na formação de leitores contemporâneos, que está vinculado ao projeto de pesquisa Práticas de leitura contemporâneas em outra dimensão: jogos de verdade na interação tridimensional. Situaremos a irrupção da holografia e do estereoscópio de Brewster, os óculos de realidade virtual, na prática de leitura contemporânea com efeito 3D. Posteriormente, justificaremos as motivações e inquietações que impulsionaram esse trabalho. Temos como principal aporte teórico a AD de linha francesa a partir dos estudos de Foucault (2008), Orlandi (2001), entre outros. Também trabalhamos com os estudos de Lunazzi (2009 e 2015). Desenvolvemos o trabalho por meio de uma pesquisa de campo e posteriormente os voluntários responderam a um questionário acerca das sensações despertadas quando são submetidos as possibilidades de leitura que simulam a terceira dimensão. A pirâmide holográfica e os óculos de realidade virtual são os suportes em que são veiculadas as novas possibilidades de leitura. Como resultados parciais, apresentamos uma pequena análise de alguns questionários em que notamos pathos paradoxais acerca da inserção da virtualidade na realidade propriamente dita e do deslocamento dos sujeitos para a realidade virtual

As representações discursivas do corpo infantil na contemporaneidade: da arbitrariedade violenta ao protagonismo afetivo

Esta pesquisa objetiva analisar como funcionam os saberes e os poderes na contemporaneidade sobre a infância. Para isso, em meio à dispersão de enunciados que atravessam a invenção da infância, organizaremos uma unidade a partir da regularidade discursiva sobre como podem e devem ser, hoje, as práticas subjetivas das crianças. Uma cartografia monumental sobre o recorte temático infância propiciará, nesta investigação, a percepção das condições de possibilidade do corpo infantil, que é decifrado pelo esquadrinhamento de sua fisiognominia pueril. A fundamentação teórico-metodológica desta investigação é baseada na Análise do Discurso de linha francesa, especialmente na metodologia arqueogenealógica foucaultiana. Como resultados, analisamos como o corpo da criança é adestrado, utilizado e docilizado pelas representações institucionais, por exemplo, da família e da escolar, que fomentam, orientam e distribuem vontades de verdade sobre a mecânica do poder pelo saber no corpo infantil.  Como resultados parciais, constatamos analiticamente que a ordem da História permeia a irrupção das práticas de ensino e de aprendizagem por meio das instituições escola e família, transitando descontinuamente de uma arbitrariedade promovida pelas violências física e verbal como ética dos responsáveis pela criança a uma tônica no protagonismo infantil com o silenciamento das violências física e verbal. Portanto, as representações moventes sobre a infância podem tornar mutáveis as relações afetivas entre responsáveis pelas crianças e crianças devido às condições de enunciabilidade que clivam discursivamente as práticas de subjetivação por meio de saberes como o saber científico categorizado como neurocompatibilidade

Práticas de leitura: relações entre língua, texto e discurso

Buscamos contribuir para a formação de professores de Língua Portuguesa, indagando sobre as práticas de estágio e sua correlação com o que é estabelecido como características desse ofício. Para conhecermos o bem a que nos propomos, pesquisamos o histórico da disciplina (SOARES, 2002; RAZZINI, 2001) que se configura em nova formação discursiva (FOUCAULT, 2005) na linha das práticas de leitura e escrita, contrariando a formação anterior, voltada para o domínio da língua padrão. A partir de observações de estágios e dos relatórios daí gerados, constatamos que as práticas de ensino de Língua Portuguesa ainda estão distantes do que é proposto oficialmente

A BIOPOLÍTICA NA REGULAÇÃO SUBJETIVA PELO DISCURSO MATERNO: OS EFEITOS DO GOVERNO DO CORPO FEMININO DA PROTAGONISTA NA MINISSÉRIE MAID

In this research, we aim to describe and discursively analyze the utterances of the main character of the miniseries Maid, regarding subjective regulation by maternal discourse. We rely on the perspective of French Discourse Analysis, on Foucauldian studies on biopolitics in the regulation of life and the behaviors that legitimize the character as a mother, wife, daughter and family member. The anatomo-political practices of the body by the biopowers with individual homogenizing effects and the biopolitics that permeates the populations will endorse the subjective regulation of the protagonist, splitting Alex by the psychological violence represented by the institutions family and State. The protagonist Alex suffered psychological, financial, labor and gender abuse as a single mother. We question how biopower and biopolitics operate subjectivation techniques through wills of truth to normalize the institution of the traditional and conservative family, whose tonic is patriarchal. The miniseries allows for the description and analysis of the predominantly sexist and misogynistic discursive order, the functioning of binary discourses (female/male) and discursive assemblages, which can be excavated for the analysis of the ways in which subjectivation practices act, the government of bodies, and their functioning in the statements materialized in Maid. As a result, we found how the female body is socio-historically divided by prejudices and social stigmas, given the effects of discursive normalization that advocate how wives and mothers can and should conduct themselves, governments of themselves capable of demarcating an event verified in a way crystallized in the domains of memory.Nesta pesquisa, objetivamos descrever e analisar discursivamente os enunciados da personagem principal da minissérie Maid (MAID, 2021), a respeito da regulação subjetiva pelo discurso materno. Apoiamo-nos na perspectiva da Análise de Discurso de linha francesa, nos estudos foucaultianos sobre a biopolítica na regulação da vida e os comportamentos que legitimam a personagem como mãe, esposa, filha e ente familiar. As práticas anátomo-políticas do corpo pelos biopoderes com efeitos individuais homogeneizantes e a biopolítica que permeia as populações vão chancelar a regulação subjetiva da protagonista, clivando Alex pelas violências psicológicas representadas pelas instituições família e Estado. A protagonista Alex sofreu abusos psicológicos, financeiros, trabalhistas e de gênero, como uma mãe solo. Indagamos como o biopoder e a biopolítica operam técnicas de subjetivação por meio de vontades de verdade para normalizar a instituição da família tradicional e conservadora, cuja tônica é patriarcal. A minissérie permite a descrição e a análise da ordem discursiva predominantemente machista e misógina, do funcionamento dos discursos binários (feminino/masculino) e dos agenciamentos discursivos, que podem ser escavados para a análise dos modos como atuam as práticas de subjetivação, o governo dos corpos, e seus funcionamentos nos enunciados materializados em Maid (MAID, 2021). Como resultados, constatamos como o corpo feminino é clivado por preconceitos e estigmas sociais sócio historicamente, dados os efeitos de normalização discursiva que preconizam como podem e devem ser as condutas das esposas e mães, governos de si capazes de demarcar um acontecimento verificado de modo cristalizado nos domínios da memória

Práticas enunciativo-discursivas de resistência: Visibilidade e Protagonismo de sujeites negres no campo artístico musical contemporâneo

Esse artigo objetiva estudar o gênero discursivo rap, a música como mecanismo de resistência e protagonismo negre, representado por Pianista da rua 6, Tribo da Periferia. Nossa proposta é interpretar e analisar como hierarquias e estruturas sociais de classe e de raça têm influenciado a vida de sujeites negres. Para essa compreensão, fizemos uma contextualização do período colonial no Brasil (1500-1822) até a contemporaneidade para focalizar as condições sócio-históricas de irrupção do gênero em análise e o processo de construção e ressignificação da identidade, saberes e poderes do povo negre. Como resultado, encontramos a necessidade de mobilização de práticas decoloniais que propiciam e instigam mudanças estruturais/discursivas na sociedade
