LA “ACTUALIZACIÓN” DEL SOCIALISMO CUBANO: otra mirada desde sus utópias

Este ensayo presenta una valoración crítica de la “actualización del modelo económico cubano” aprobada en abril del 2011 por el V Congreso del Partido Comunista de Cuba. Pero a diferencias de otras críticas (ya sean provenientes del pensamiento liberal o desde ciertas interpretaciones de los marxismos) éstas se realizan partiendo de las que su autor denomina “utopías de la Revolución Cubana”; entendiéndolas como una crítica sistemática del pasado-presente a partir de la perenne esperanza de que, en el porvenir, siempre será necesario construir una sociedad y un mundo mejor. En su concepto, en el caso de Cuba, ello implica edificar un socialismo más eficaz, eficiente, económicamente auto sostenido, ecológicamente sustentable y democrático-participativo que el que hasta ahora han conocido las “cinco generaciones políticas” que han defendido y siguen defendiendo las “principales conquistas de la Revolución y del Socialismo”. Palabras claves: Revolución cubana, socialismo cubano, utopía, Partido Comunista de Cuba

Las interacciones de la revolución Cubana con "los nuevos liderazgos latinoamericanos": una mirada desde sus utopías

The article expresses the first approach with the multiple interactions between the political Cuban authority, as well those from state as the social ranks, with the new Latin American leadership. They might be associated to the main leadership that come from the new left, concerning the social, political and intellectual ones, which are in charge of great responsibility, conducting the so called “progressive administrations” that have been settled in Latin America during the last years of XX century. The analysis are based on the major utopias, which were installed since January, 1959, till nowadays, that has been guided the theory and praxis (even not exempt of mistakes) by the meaning of Cuban Revolution around the geography, human and cultural space which has been called “Our America”.El artículo realiza una primera aproximación a las múltiplas interacciones existentes entre las autoridades políticas cubanas, estatales y no estatales, con “los nuevos liderazgos latinoamericanos”, definiendo como tales a los principales representantes de la “nueva izquierda política, social e intelectual”, que vienen ocupando prominentes responsabilidades en la conducción de los genéricamente llamados “gobiernos progresistas” que se han instalado en América Latina en los últimos años del siglo XX. Para el análisis son rescatadas las principales utopías que, desde el primero de enero de 1959 hasta la actualidad, han guiado la teoría y la praxis (no exentas de errores) de la proyección externa de la Revolución Cubana hacia el espacio geográfico, humano y cultural que se pasó a denominar como “nuestra América”

El mensaje del Che a todos los pueblos del mundo a través de la Tricontinental: antecedentes y vigencias

June 16 marked the 55th anniversary of the publication, for the first time, of the "second political testa- ment" of Comandante Ernesto Che Guevara. In order to enable readers to grasp the historical significance of his call to create "two, three, ... many Vietnams", this paper summarizes the mediate and immediate antecedents, as well as the circumstances in which it was written and disseminated. Despite the ambivalent changes that have taken place in the world capitalist economy and the then "bipolar" and now "multipolar" International System of States, the article concludes with a reflection on the validity of this document for the multiform anti-imperialist struggles that are currently being undertaken around the world and, in par- ticular, in Latin America and the Caribbean.El pasado 16 de junio se cumplió el 55 aniversario de la publicación, por primera vez, del “segundo testa- mento político” del comandante Ernesto Che Guevara. Con vistas a que las y los lectores puedan aquilatar el significado histórico de su llamamiento a crear “dos, tres, ... muchos Vietnam”, se relatan de manera sintética los antecedentes mediatos e inmediatos, así como las circunstancias en que este se escribió y difundió. A pesar de los ambivalentes cambios que desde entonces hasta hoy se han producido en la economía capitalista mundo y en el entonces “bipolar” y hoy “multipolar” Sistema Internacional de Estados, el artículo concluye con una reflexión sobre las vigencias que conserva ese documento para las multiformes luchas antimperialistas que en la actualidad se están emprendiendo en todo el mundo y, en particular, en América Latina y el Caribe

Hydrogenation of imines catalysed by ruthenium(ii) complexes based on lutidine-derived CNC pincer ligands

The preparation of new Ru(ii) complexes incorporating fac-coordinated lutidine-derived CNC ligands is reported. Aristonectes quiriquinensis, sp. nov., a new highly derived elasmosaurid from the upper Maastrichtian of central Chile

This paper describes a new species of elasmosaurid plesiosaur, Aristonectes quiriquinensis, sp. nov., based on a partial skeleton recovered from upper Maastrichtian beds of the Quiriquina Formation of central Chile. The material described here consists of two skeletons, one collected near the village of Cocholgue, and a second juvenile specimen from Quiriquina Island. Prior to these finds, Aristonectes was viewed as a monospecific genus, including only the enigmatic Aristonectes parvidens, the holotype of which consists of an incomplete skull and incomplete postcranium. Other material referred to the genus includes an incomplete juvenile skull and other postcranial material from the upper Maastrichtian of Antarctica, as well as a partial skull from the Quiriquina Formation of central Chile. The relationships of Aristonectes have been controversial, with competing theories assigning the genus to Cryptoclididae, Elasmosauridae, and Aristonectidae; however, there is a developing consensus that Aristonectes is a derived elasmosaurid, and this paper gives strong evidence for this view. Comparison of the specimen here studied with the holotype of A. parvidens demonstrates that A. quiriquinensis is a distinct species. The completeness of the adult skeleton allows the first confident size estimates for adult Aristonectes. It is a large plesiosaurian with a relatively large skull with numerous homodont teeth, a moderately long and laterally compressed neck, and relatively narrow trunk, with slender and elongate forelimbs. The two specimens are restricted to the upper Maastrichtian of central Chile, posing questions concerning the austral circumpolar distribution of different elasmosaurids towards the end of the Cretaceous.Fil: Otero, Rodrigo A..
