Interface control of ferroelectricity in LaNiO3-BaTiO3 superlattices
LaNiO-BaTiO superlattices with different types of interfaces are
studied from first-principles density-functional theory. It is revealed that
the ferroelectricity in the superlattice with (NiO)/(BaO)
interfaces is enhanced from that of the superlattice with
(LaO)/(TiO) interfaces. The origin lies at the polar discontinuity
at the interface, which makes the holes localized within the
(NiO)/(BaO) interface, but drives a penetration of electrons into
BaTiO component near (LaO)/(TiO) interface. Our calculations
demonstrate an effective avenue to the robust ferroelectricity in BaTiO

The visualization of the space probability distribution for a particle moving in a double ring-shaped Coulomb potential
The analytical solutions to a double ring-shaped Coulomb potential (RSCP) are
presented. The visualizations of the space probability distribution (SPD) are
illustrated for the two-(contour) and three-dimensional (isosurface) cases. The
quantum numbers (n, l, m) are mainly relevant for those quasi quantum numbers
(n' ,l' ,m' ) via the double RSCP parameter c. The SPDs are of circular ring
shape in spherical coordinates. The properties for the relative probability
values (RPVs) P are also discussed. For example, when we consider the special
case (n, l, m)=(6, 5, 0), the SPD moves towards two poles of axis z when the P
increases. Finally, we discuss the different cases for the potential parameter
b which is taken as negative and positive values for c>0 . Compared with the
particular case b=0 , the SPDs are shrunk for b=-0.5 while spread out for

The visualization of the space probability distribution for a moving particle I: in a single ring-shaped Coulomb potential
We first present the exact solutions of the single ring-shaped Coulomb
potential and then realize the visualizations of the space probability
distribution for a moving particle within the framework of this potential. We
illustrate the two-(contour) and three-dimensional (isosurface) visualizations
for those specifically given quantum numbers (n, l, m) essentially related to
those so-called quasi quantum numbers (n',l',m') through changing the single
ring-shaped Coulomb potential parameter b. We find that the space probability
distributions (isosurface) of a moving particle for the special case and the
usual case are spherical and circular ring-shaped, respectively by considering
all variables in spherical coordinates. We also study the features of the
relative probability values P of the space probability distributions. As an
illustration, by studying the special case of the quantum numbers (n, l, m)=(6,
5, 1) we notice that the space probability distribution for a moving particle
will move towards two poles of axis z as the relative probability value P
increases. Moreover, we discuss the series expansion of the deformed spherical
harmonics through the orthogonal and complete spherical harmonics and find that
the principal component decreases gradually and other components will increase

Investigation of ultra-thin Al₂O₃ film as Cu diffusion barrier on low-k (k=2.5) dielectrics
Ultrathin Al(2)O(3) films were deposited by PEALD as Cu diffusion barrier on low-k (k=2.5) material. The thermal stability and electrical properties of the Cu/low k system with Al(2)O(3) layers with different thickness were studied after annealing. The AES, TEM and EDX results revealed that the ultrathin Al(2)O(3) films are thermally stable and have excellent Cu diffusion barrier performance. The electrical measurements of dielectric breakdown and TDDB tests further confirmed that the ultrathin Al(2)O(3) film is a potential Cu diffusion barrier in the Cu/low-k interconnects system
Vremenski razlučeni fotoluminescentni spektri legure (AlxGa1−x)0.51In0.49P (x = 0.29)
Measurements of time-resolved photoluminescence (TRPL) spectra were made in a study of the optical properties of partially ordered quaternary (AlxGa1-x)0.51In0.49P (x=0.29) alloy. Both excitation-wavelength dependence of lifetime and excitation-intensity dependence of lifetime show a wide distribution of carriers. In TRPL spectra measured at 300 K, a blue-shift of photoluminescence (PL) peaks in (AlxGa1-x)0.51In0.49P is observed. The phenomenon is in agreement with the Z-shaped temperature dependence of the PL peak. Possible origins of the blue-shift and Z-shaped behaviour of PL peak are presented.Načinili smo vremenski-razlučena (VR) mjerenja fotoluminescentnih (FL) spektara radi istraživanja optičkih svojstava djelomično sređene četverokomponentne legure (AlxGa1−x)0.51In0.49P (x = 0.29). Obje ovisnosti vremena života, uzbuda – valna duljina i uzbuda – intenzitet pokazuju široku raspodjelu nositelja. VR FL spektri (AlxGa1−x)0.51In0.49P na 300 K pokazuju plavi pomak fotoluminescentnih linija. Ta je pojava u skladu s temperaturnom ovisnošću FL vrha u vidu slova Z. Raspravljaju se mogući uzroci plavog pomaka i Z-ovisnosti FL vrha
