Characterization of NH Sensing Properties of P3HT+rGO+CNT Composite Films Made by Spin-coating
Thin films of poly(3-hexylthiophene) (P3HT) incorporated with reduced graphene oxide (rGO) and multi-walled carbon nanotubes (CNTs) were prepared by spin-coating technique. Atomic force microscope (AFM) surface morphology, UV-Vis spectra and NH3 gas sensing of the films were studied. Results showed that the P3HT embedded with a content of 20 wt.% of rGO and 10 % of CNTs (abbreviated to P3GC) resulted in the formation of nanostructured composites, exhibiting 1.50 nm-roughness surface and a semiconducting material with a bandgap of 1.92eV. These structure and composition of the P3GC film are appropriate for making film sensors whose resistance changes as a function of gas concentration. Monitoring ammonia gas by the sensors showed that the responding time of the sensing reached a value as fast as 30 s, the response at ammonia gas content of 10 ppm attained a value as large as 0.8% and the relative sensitivity was of 0.05 %/ppm

Synthesis and Characterization of Ag/PEDOT:PSS Films Used for NH Selective Sensing
Nano-Ag/PEDOT-PSS films were prepared by spin-coating technique. SEM surface morphology, Raman spectra and gas sensing of methanol, humidity and NH3 were studied. The obtained results showed that the resistance of Ag/PEDOT:PSS sheets exposed to gases related to the generation of electrons from the gases adsorption that eliminated holes as the major carriers in PEDOT:PSS. For NH3 gas the largest change of the resistance of Ag/PEDOT:PSS was observed. The less sensitivity of humidity and ethanol sensing was explained due to less dedoping reaction between H2O and ethanol vapor with Ag/PEDOT:PSS, respectively. This suggests a potential application of the nano-Ag/PEDOT-PSS sensors for the selective monitoring NH3 gas in environment
An Anthropology of Intellectual Exchange: Interactions, Transactions and Ethics in Asia and Beyond
Dialogues, encounters and interactions through which particular ways of knowing, understanding and thinking about the world are forged lie at the centre of anthropology. Such ‘intellectual exchange’ is also central to anthropologists’ own professional practice: from their interactions with research participants and modes of pedagogy to their engagements with each other and scholars from adjacent disciplines. This collection of essays explores how such processes might best be studied cross-culturally. Foregrounding the diverse interactions, ethical reasoning, and intellectual lives of people from across the continent of Asia, the volume develops an anthropology of intellectual exchange itself
Investigation of Thermal Annealing Condition on the Optical and Electrical Properties of Hybrid Silver Nanowires/Reduced Graphene Oxide (AgNWS/rGO) Films
Herein we report a electrode in the hybrid structure of the silver nanowires (AgNWs) with reduced graphene oxide (rGO) deposited on glass or PET substrate. The assembly and contacting in procedures of this hybrid film have been strongly affected by preparation conditions, especially annealing temperature. In this work, we have investigated the effects of thermal annealing on interconnected at nanowire junctions and between AgNWS network and rGO films via their sheet resistance and transmission. The annealing temperature was varied from 120C to 180C with 10C step to find out optimal temperature at which the wires can be joined together. The results show that at 170C, the sheet resistance and transmission of the hybrid rGO/Ag NW film are sq and % (at wavelength 550 nm) corresponding to the ratio of direct conductivity to optical conductivity which is the best obtained value. It is expected that the hybrid AgNWS/rGO film can replace ITO film in the near future
Morphological and molecular characteristics of Panax sp. (Araliaceae) from Phu Xai lai leng mountain, Nghe An province, Vietnam
Seven sterile and young specimens of Panax sp. were collected in Phu Xai Lai Leng silicat mountain, the highest mountain peak in central Vietnam. Morphologically, they resemble P. stipuleanatus and P. bipinnatifidus. However, they have stipules and leaflets that are not bipinnatifid. The ITS-DNA sequences of Panax sp. from Phu Xai Lai Leng are identical and exhibit a close relationship with P. stipuleanatus from Tam Duong district, Lai Chau province with strong bootstrap support (98%). Noticeably, these two taxa are different by 2 nucleotides. A collection of standard specimens including inflorescence, infructescence, flowers and ripe fruits of Panax from Phu Xai Lai Leng is needed to determine its taxonomic status.
Awareness and preparedness of healthcare workers against the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic: A cross-sectional survey across 57 countries.
BACKGROUND: Since the COVID-19 pandemic began, there have been concerns related to the preparedness of healthcare workers (HCWs). This study aimed to describe the level of awareness and preparedness of hospital HCWs at the time of the first wave. METHODS: This multinational, multicenter, cross-sectional survey was conducted among hospital HCWs from February to May 2020. We used a hierarchical logistic regression multivariate analysis to adjust the influence of variables based on awareness and preparedness. We then used association rule mining to identify relationships between HCW confidence in handling suspected COVID-19 patients and prior COVID-19 case-management training. RESULTS: We surveyed 24,653 HCWs from 371 hospitals across 57 countries and received 17,302 responses from 70.2% HCWs overall. The median COVID-19 preparedness score was 11.0 (interquartile range [IQR] = 6.0-14.0) and the median awareness score was 29.6 (IQR = 26.6-32.6). HCWs at COVID-19 designated facilities with previous outbreak experience, or HCWs who were trained for dealing with the SARS-CoV-2 outbreak, had significantly higher levels of preparedness and awareness (p<0.001). Association rule mining suggests that nurses and doctors who had a 'great-extent-of-confidence' in handling suspected COVID-19 patients had participated in COVID-19 training courses. Male participants (mean difference = 0.34; 95% CI = 0.22, 0.46; p<0.001) and nurses (mean difference = 0.67; 95% CI = 0.53, 0.81; p<0.001) had higher preparedness scores compared to women participants and doctors. INTERPRETATION: There was an unsurprising high level of awareness and preparedness among HCWs who participated in COVID-19 training courses. However, disparity existed along the lines of gender and type of HCW. It is unknown whether the difference in COVID-19 preparedness that we detected early in the pandemic may have translated into disproportionate SARS-CoV-2 burden of disease by gender or HCW type
Spatiotemporal evolution of SARS-CoV-2 Alpha and Delta variants during large nationwide outbreak of COVID-19, Vietnam, 2021
We analyzed 1,303 SARS-CoV-2 whole-genome sequences from Vietnam, and found the Alpha and Delta variants were responsible for a large nationwide outbreak of COVID-19 in 2021. The Delta variant was confined to the AY.57 lineage and caused >1.7 million infections and >32,000 deaths. Viral transmission was strongly affected by nonpharmaceutical interventions

Design and baseline characteristics of the finerenone in reducing cardiovascular mortality and morbidity in diabetic kidney disease trial
Background: Among people with diabetes, those with kidney disease have exceptionally high rates of cardiovascular (CV) morbidity and mortality and progression of their underlying kidney disease. Finerenone is a novel, nonsteroidal, selective mineralocorticoid receptor antagonist that has shown to reduce albuminuria in type 2 diabetes (T2D) patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) while revealing only a low risk of hyperkalemia. However, the effect of finerenone on CV and renal outcomes has not yet been investigated in long-term trials.
Patients and Methods: The Finerenone in Reducing CV Mortality and Morbidity in Diabetic Kidney Disease (FIGARO-DKD) trial aims to assess the efficacy and safety of finerenone compared to placebo at reducing clinically important CV and renal outcomes in T2D patients with CKD. FIGARO-DKD is a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, parallel-group, event-driven trial running in 47 countries with an expected duration of approximately 6 years. FIGARO-DKD randomized 7,437 patients with an estimated glomerular filtration rate >= 25 mL/min/1.73 m(2) and albuminuria (urinary albumin-to-creatinine ratio >= 30 to <= 5,000 mg/g). The study has at least 90% power to detect a 20% reduction in the risk of the primary outcome (overall two-sided significance level alpha = 0.05), the composite of time to first occurrence of CV death, nonfatal myocardial infarction, nonfatal stroke, or hospitalization for heart failure.
Conclusions: FIGARO-DKD will determine whether an optimally treated cohort of T2D patients with CKD at high risk of CV and renal events will experience cardiorenal benefits with the addition of finerenone to their treatment regimen.
