    ANALISIS FAKTOR-FAKTOR YANG MEMPENGARUHI KONSUMEN MEMBELI PRODUK PADA CV APOLLO MOTOR TANJUNG MORAWA

    The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of price and quality product to purchasing decisions on CV Apollo Motor Tanjung Morawa. The type of research used in this study is associative causal quantitative approach. Associative causal research is a research that aims to determine the relationship between two or more variables, while the quantitative approach used in this study because the data expressed in numbers, when a series of observations or measurements can be expressed in numbers. Data analysis method used is multiple linear regression. The population in this study was the overall customer of CV Apollo Motor Tanjung Morawa as many as 1312 which are the consumers who make purchases from January 2012 to June 2012. Determination of the sample in this study using the formula Slovin with  samples are  93 people. The results showed that the price variable (X1) and product quality (X2) have effect on the purchase decision variable (Y) in CV Apollo Motor Tanjung Morawa by 96.3%. While the remaining 3.7% is the influence of the other independent variables were not examined in this study

    Abstract: The purposes of the research are to (1) introduce the method of  “The Tense Key Matching” which is used to create English sentences easily to the Class X students of MAS Nurul Falah, Airmolek, INHU, Riau, (2) find out if “The Key Tense Matching” is usable to be applied in Class X of MAS Nurul Falah, Airmolek, INHU, Riau to help the students face difficulties in creating English sentences so that they can master the four language skills in the future, and (3) know if the effectiveness of “The Key Tense Matching” to the students’ability in creating English sentences will give the effect on their English learning outcomes or not. This is a quasi experimental research which uses the pre-test and post-test design. The sample consist of two group: experimental class (given treatment of the tense key matching method) and controlled class (taught through conventional method). The subject of the research is the Class X students of MAs Nurul Falah Airmolek. The data is gathered through the techinqes of observation, test, documentation, and interview. Ttest  is used to analysed the data. The result of the test shows that the tense key matching method is more effective than he conventional  method when it is applied in teaching English grammar (t = 8.547 and p ˂ 0.000)

      Background: Down Syndrome is a genetic disorder that occurs because of chromosome 21 has three chromosome (trisomy 21). The extra chromosome changes the genetic balance, physical characteristic, intellectual abilities, and physiological body function. Tooth eruption in Down Syndrome children typically delayed in both the timing and sequence of eruption up to two or three years. Objective: To observe the permanent teeth eruption in Down syndrome children at age 10-16 years old, boys and girls in Special Needs School in Jember. Materials and Methods: This research was a descriptive study with 7 subjects. Each subject was examined then calculated teeth that had emerged or functionally eruption with articualting paper. Result and Conclusion:  Both permanent teeth that is still partially erupted tooth (emerged/ EM) and had erupted perfectly (functionally eruption/ FE) delayed in eruption in Down Syndrome boys and girls at age 10-16 years old. &nbsp

Tipe latihan yang digunakan oleh atlet basket menggunakan kecepatanyang explosive dalam berlari lalu beristirahat aktif sambil dribbling, passing, shootingataupun berfikir untuk membuat strategi, oleh sebab itu yo-yo intermittent recoverytestsangat valid dilakukan pada cabang olahraga bola basket. Tujuan penelitian iniadalah untuk mengetahui persepsi atlet terhadap tingkat kelelahan pada multistagefitness test dan yo-yo intermittend recovery test di tim basket putra SMA Negeri 4Yogyakarta.Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif persentase dan metode yang digunakandalam penelitian ini adalah metode survei dengan teknik tes dan pengukuran untukmengambil data.     COMPONENTS OF PUBLIC SPEAKING: THE FACTORS THAT MAKE STUDENTS INTERESTED IN ENGLISH SPEECH AND TEACHING

    Abstract: This study tries to find out which components of Public Speaking actually make the students interested in English speech and English teaching. This is a descriptive qualitative study where the data for the research were collected through a self-administered questionnaire distributed to all students of the fourth semester at English Study Program of State Polytechnic of Bengkalis – Riau.  The technique used to collect the data was done by asking the students to watch a video of a speech and then answer the questionnaire given. The questionnaire was set based on relevant literature review and also focused on condition of the students based on daily observation done by the writer during his teaching Public Speaking subject to the students. After collecting the data, the writer sorted the data by summarizing and choosing the specific category, displaying and verifying the data analysis and making the conclusion from the finding data. The findings of this research are hoped to give another point of view to English lecturers to realize certain parts of teaching that actually can make it more interesting for the students. The result of this study shows that Story Telling and Body Language performed by a speaker or a lecturer are among the most interesting aspects that make them interested in an English speech or teaching. Beside, this study also reveals that lack of Pauses and Visual Aids performed by the lecturers make their teaching become less interesting

    Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh perkembangan ilmu tes dan pengukuran khususnya multistage fitness test dan yo-yo intermittend recovery test yang dapat dilihat persepsi kelelahan terhadap dua tes tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persepsi atlet terhadap tingkat kelelahan pada multistage fitness test dan yo-yo intermittend recovery test di tim basket putra SMA Negeri 4 Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif persentase menggunakan metode survei dengan teknik pengambilan data menggunakan tes dan pengukuran. Subyek dalam penelitian ini adalah tim basket putra SMA Negeri 4 Yogyakarta yang berjumlah 13 atlet. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif yang dituangkan dalam bentuk persentase, yang terbagi dalam 15 skala RPE (Rating of Percieved Exertion) dan 6 kategori pada norma VO2Max. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persepsi atlet terhadap tingkat kelelahan pada multistage fitness test dan yo-yo intermittend recovery test di tim basket putra SMA Negeri 4 Yogyakarta adalah sebagai berikut; indeks persepsi kelelahan terhadap tes daya tahan paru jantung metode multistage fitness test yang berada dalam skala skala 11 (ringan) sebesar 7,7%, skala 13 (sedang) sebesar 30,8%, skala 15 (berat) sebesar 53,8%, skala 17 (sangat berat) sebesar 7,7%. Kemudian indeks persepsi kelelahan terhadap tes daya tahan paru jantung metode yo-yo intermittend recovery test yang berada dalam skala 13 (sedang) sebesar 38,4%, skala 15 sebesar 53,8%, skala 17 sebesar 7,7%.     AN ANALYSIS ON THE SECOND SEMESTER STUDENTS’ ABILITY IN UNDERSTANDING PAST SIMPLE SENTENCES AT THE ENGLISH EDUCATION DEPARTMENT OF STKIP INSAN MADANI AIRMOLEK

    A descriptive qualitative method was used in this research. It aimed to find out the students’ ability in understanding Past Simple. The instrument of the research to gather the data was in the form of written test which was delivered to the the second semester students. They are asked to do the test of verbal sentence, nominal sentence and irregular or regular verb use. The test was designed based on the relevant literature review and the authors’ observation during the teaching learning process which took time especially when the material of the Past Simple was explained. For the test as a whole, there were only 3 students (12.5%) who had high category level of Past Simple understanding. Meanwhile, 10 students’ ability in understanding Past Simple (41.7%) was in the middle category. There were 11 students (45.83%) whose ability belonged to the low category. In short, the students’ ability in understanding Past Simple was still low. The research findings give some points of view for a lecturer to remember that he needs to have various teaching techniques to get her students’ attention to learn and practice more about the use of tense, especially Past Tense. The lecturer can also use interesting audio visual teaching media so that the students get more interest to acquire the rule
