Complete monogamy of the multipartite quantum mutual information
Quantum mutual information (QMI) not only displays the mutual information in
the system but also demonstrates some quantum correlation beyond entanglement.
We explore here the two alternatives of multipartite quantum mutual information
(MQMI) based on the von Neumann entropy according to the framework of the
complete measure of multi-particle quantum system. We show that these two MQMI
are complete, monogamous on pure states, and one of them is not only completely
monogamous but also tightly complete monogamous while another one is not.
Moreover, we present another two MQMI by replacing the von Neumann entropy with
the Tasllis -entropy from the former two ones. It is proved that one of them
displays some degree of ``completeness'' as a measure of multi-particle quantum
system, but the other one is not even non-negative and thus it can not be a
alternative of MQMI. We also discuss the triangle relation for these three
alternatives of MQMI. It is shown that the triangle inequalities hold for the
former two MQMI as that of entanglement measure but the later one fails. By
comparison, we found that the von Neumann entropy is better than other versions
of entropy as desired when we characterize the quantum correlation in
multi-particle system.Comment: 10 pages, one table. Some errors and typoes are correcte
Osthole represses growth of multiple myeloma cells by regulating PI3K/AKT and ERK pathways
Purpose: To identify the effects of osthole on the growth of multiple myeloma cells and determine the probable molecular mechanism of action.
Methods: 3-(4, 5-Dimethyl-2-thiazolyl)-2, 5-diphenyl-2-H-tetrazolium bromide (MTT) assay was used to measure multiple myeloma cell viability. Flow cytometry was used for the evaluation of cell cycle and apoptosis. For protein expression measurement, western blot analysis was employed.
Results: The results show that osthole dose- and time-dependently suppressed the viability of multiple myeloma cells (p < 0.01). Osthole also dose-dependently initiated multiple myeloma cell cycle arrest in G0/G1 phase (p < 0.05) and induced multiple myeloma cell apoptosis (p < 0.01). Moreover, western blotting revealed a significant reduction in cyclin D1 (p < 0.01) and induction in p21, cleaved caspase 3 and cleaved poly (ADP-ribose) polymerase (p < 0.01). Furthermore, osthole treatment significantly downregulated the phosphorylation levels of protein kinase B (AKTT308), AKTS473, and extracellular regulated protein kinase 1/2 (ERK1/2).
Conclusion: These findings demonstrated that osthole inhibited viability and induced cell cycle arrest and apoptosis of multiple myeloma cells by regulating PI3K/AKT and ERK pathways. Osthole may be considered as a potential anticancer agent for the therapy of multiple myeloma
Endpoint Strichartz estimate for the kinetic transport equation in one dimension
In this Note, we consider problems of endpoint Strichartz estimates for the kinetic equation in one dimension. The fundamental result obtained in Theorem 1 is proved using two different methods: in the first we construct an explicit counterexample; in the second uses a duality argument.http://gateway.webofknowledge.com/gateway/Gateway.cgi?GWVersion=2&SrcApp=PARTNER_APP&SrcAuth=LinksAMR&KeyUT=WOS:000249934800003&DestLinkType=FullRecord&DestApp=ALL_WOS&UsrCustomerID=8e1609b174ce4e31116a60747a720701MathematicsSCI(E)3ARTICLE5253-25634

Dual-frequency output of wireless power transfer system with single inverter using improved differential evolution algorithm
In wireless charging devices, a transmitter that applies a single inverter to output dual-frequency can effectively solve the charging incompatibility problem caused by different wireless charging standards and reduce the equipment volume. However, it is very difficult to solve the switching angle of the modulated dual-frequency waveform, which involves non-linear high-dimensional multi-objective optimization with multiple constraints. In this paper, an improved differential evolution (DE) algorithm is proposed to solve the transcendental equations of switching angle trains of dual-frequency programmed harmonic modulation (PHM) waveform. The proposed algorithm maintains diversity while preserving the elites and improves the convergence speed of the solution. The advantage of the proposed algorithm was verified by comparing with non-dominated sorting genetic algorithm II (NSGA II) and multi-objective particle swarm optimization (MOPSO). The simulation and experimental results validate that the proposed method can output dual-frequency with a single inverter for wireless power transfer (WPT).Web of Science139art. no. 220

The Efficacy of Shen Shuaining Capsule on Chronic Kidney Disease: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis
Objective. To evaluate the efficacy of Shen shuaining capsule on treating chronic kidney disease (CKD). Methods. All randomized controlled trials (RCTs) of Shen shuaining capsule in treating CKD were collected from CBM, CNKI, VIP, Wanfang, EMBASE, MEDLINE, PubMed, and Cochrane library clinical controlled trials database. Two reviewers independently performed analysis of the included trials according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The risk of bias tool was from the Cochrane Handbook version 5.1.0. The Review Manager 5.2 software was employed for data analysis. Funnel plot and Egger's test were applied to evaluate publication bias. Results. 20 studies including 1606 participants met the inclusion criteria, most of which were of low quality. Metaanalysis indicated that Shen shuaining capsule was effective for CKD in terms of SCR, BUN, Hb, and response rate and with less adverse effects, of which SCR and BUN decreased significantly (MD = −84.72, 95% CI: −107.36, −62.07, < 0.00001) (MD = −4.30, 95% CI: −5.71, −2.89, < 0.00001); Hb and response rate increased significantly (MD = 9.94, 95% CI: 9.24, 10.64, < 0.00001) (OR = 4.25, 95% CI (3.32, 5.42), < 0.00001). Conclusion. Shen shuaining capsule significantly reduced SCR and BUN, increased HB, and improved total efficiency of the symptoms and signs in patients with CKD. Subgroup analysis found that Shen shuaining capsule group was better than control group. Due to low quality of the methodology of included studies, further high-quality researches were needed to study its efficacy and safety
