Tetrakis(1H-benzimidazole-κN 3)(nitrato-κO)copper(II) nitrate
In the title salt, [Cu(NO3)(C7H6N2)4]NO3, one nitrate anion is coordinated to the CuII atom, which is also coordinated by the N atoms of four N-heterocycles. The geometry at the metal atom is a square pyramid in which the O atom of the anion occupies the apical position [Cu—O = 2.468 (5) and 2.590 (7) Å in the two independent formula units]. The cation lies on a twofold rotation axis; the coordinated nitrate anion is also disordered about this symmetry element. The lattice anion is also disordered about a twofold rotation axis. In the crystal, the cations are linked to the coordinated and free anions by N—H⋯O hydrogen bonds
Information Filtering on Coupled Social Networks
In this paper, based on the coupled social networks (CSN), we propose a
hybrid algorithm to nonlinearly integrate both social and behavior information
of online users. Filtering algorithm based on the coupled social networks,
which considers the effects of both social influence and personalized
preference. Experimental results on two real datasets, \emph{Epinions} and
\emph{Friendfeed}, show that hybrid pattern can not only provide more accurate
recommendations, but also can enlarge the recommendation coverage while
adopting global metric. Further empirical analyses demonstrate that the mutual
reinforcement and rich-club phenomenon can also be found in coupled social
networks where the identical individuals occupy the core position of the online
system. This work may shed some light on the in-depth understanding structure
and function of coupled social networks
The Ability of Bile to Scavenge Superoxide Radicals and Pigment Gallstone Formation in Guinea Pigs
After partial ligation of the common bile duct (CBD) of guinea pigs, 14 of 16 animals developed pigment gallstones within one week (S group). Intraperitoneal injection of Vit. E and C, each 10 mg/kg daily from 3 days before CBD ligation to one week after the operation (S+V group), decreased the gallstone incidence to 5/14 (exact probability<0.01). The gallstone incidence in the control group, that only received laparotomy without ligation of the CBD, was 0/15. Biochemical analysis of the gallbladder bile showed that stricture of the CBD was associated with a significant increase in levels of unconjugated bilirubin (UCB) and Ca2+ (p<0.05 and <0.01). Simultaneously the scavenging rate (SR) of superoxide radical in bile significantly decreased (p<0.05). Comparing S+V group with S group, the effect of Vit. E and C on the concentrations of UCB and Ca2+ in bile was not significant (both p>0.05), but Vit. E and C normalized the SR, and the difference between S group and S+V group was significant (p<0.05). These results suggested that Vit. E and C, known as antioxidants, enhanced the ability to scavenge oxygen radical in S+V group; and that in addition to the increases of UCB and Ca2+ concentrations, the participation of oxygen radicals might be of importance for pigment gallstone formation induced by bile duct obstruction
Influencing Factors of Anger Induced by Patients in Medical Situations
Objective: This study was made to explore the inducing factors of patients’ anger in medical treatment in order to provide a solid and reliable theoretical basis for preventing doctor-patient conflicts, improving doctor-patient relationship, and promoting doctor-patient harmony and social harmony. Method: develop the “Questionnaire of the Inducing Factors of Anger in the Doctor-patient Relationship”and use the State-Trait Anger Expression Inventory-2 (STAXI-2) to survey the 111 patients that had experienced medical disputes or doctor-patient conflicts and actually got angry in the conflicts in the Hospital of Dali University.The SPSS22.0 statistical software was used to establish database and analyze the obtained data. Result: 1. The Influence of demographic variable on the anger of patients. The anger of the patients between 46-55 years old was significantly higher than that of patients below 25, between 25-35 or above 66. Patients with junior high school degree or lower had the highest emotion of anger, and then those with senior high school degree (including technical secondary school) followed. Patients with no jobs had the highest emotion of anger, and then farmers and workers followed, which were significantly higher than that of patients engaged in other occupations. Patients with the monthly income of RMB 2000 yuan or lower had the highest emotion of anger, and then those with no stable source of income followed, which were significantly higher than those with higher monthly income. 2. The anger of patients was significantly negatively correlated to their trustfulness in medial workers, but significantly positively correlated to medical costs, the communication with medical workers, their cognition of the medical condition, medical workers’ disclosure of patients’ condition, the medical treatment effect, medical workers’ problem-solving ability, medical facilities and environment and medical workers’ professional level. Conclusion: In the medical treatment, the main inducing factors that may evoke the anger of patients are: the communication with medical workers; the attitude of medical workers; medical treatment effect; medical workers’ professional level

Quiet power-free cooling system enabled by loop heat pipe
Taking full advantage of LHP’s efficient long distance heat transport capability, a LHP-based power-free cooling system has been developed in this work. The heat source was simulated by a film heater, which was connected to the cylindrical evaporator of the LHP via an aluminum saddle. The condenser line was embedded into the bottom surface of a fin radiator where heat dissipation to the ambient was completely by air natural convection. Extensive experiments on this cooling system were conducted, mainly focusing on its startup and system thermal resistance. Experimental results show that this cooling system can successfully start up with a very small heat load. With the film heater temperature not exceeding 80 °C, this cooling system can manage a heat load as large as 150 W over a distance of 1.05 m, corresponding to a system thermal resistance about 0.30 °C/W. Moreover, this cooling system exhibited very strong anti-gravity capability. With an adverse elevation of 0.5 m, it can still maintain normal operation, and no obvious performance decay was observed except an increased operating temperature at small heat loads. This work provides good design guidance and reference for future applications of this advanced cooling system
Microchanneled chirped fibre Bragg gratings for simultaneous refractive index and temperature measurements
We report here the fabrication, charaterisation and refractive index sensing of two microchanneled chirped fiber Bragg gratings (MCFBGs) with different channel sizes (~550µm and ~1000µm). The chirped grating structures were UV-inscribed in optical fibre and the microchannels were created in the middle of the CFBGs by femtosecond (fs) laser assisted chemical etching method. The creation of microchannels in the CFBG structures gives an access to the external index liquid, thus inducing refractive index (RI) sensitivity to the structure. In comparison with previously reported FBG based RI sensors, for which the cladding layers usually were removed, the MCFBGs represent a more ideal solution for robust devices as the microchannel will not degrade the structure strength. The two MCFBGs were spectrally charaterised for their RI and temperature responses and both gratings exhibited unique thermal and RI sensitivities, which may be utilised for implementation of bio-chemical sensors with capability to eliminate temperature crosssensitivity
