A review of training methods of ANFIS for applications in business and economic

Fuzzy Neural Networks (FNNs) techniques have been effectively used in applications that range from medical to mechanical engineering, to business and economics. Despite of attracting researchers in recent years and outperforming other fuzzy systems, Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS) still needs effective parameter training and rule-base optimization methods to perform efficiently when the number of inputs increase. Moreover, the standard gradient based learning via two pass learning algorithm is prone slow and prone to get stuck in local minima. Therefore many researchers have trained ANFIS parameters using metaheuristic algorithms however very few have considered optimizing the ANFIS rule-base. Mostly Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) and its variants have been applied for training approaches used. Other than that, Genetic Algorithm (GA), Firefly Algorithm (FA), Ant Bee Colony (ABC) optimization methods have been employed for effective training of ANFIS networks when solving various problems in the field of business and finance

ARE WE ON THE WRONG TRACK AND SO DO MIS CURRICULA NEED TO BE REENGINEERED?

Extensive discussions and roundtables done by the panelists with tens of CIOs in recent years suggest that there is increased CIO concern about the depreciation in the perceived importance of MIS in the industry and a need therefore to adapt the curriculum of MIS and its place in the MBA program to what the industry needs. The panel will discuss this issue by first presenting the industry view of the issue based on CIO input and with it the need to reengineer the curriculum accordingly to tune it to what the industry, our clients, needs. The panel will then balance this perspective with a more cautious academic one. Practical steps academia can take will also be discussed

Analysis of Yield and Technological Gaps of Potato Production in Bihar

The existence of large yield and technological gaps in different crops is a major problem faced by Indian agriculture. Potato being the most important vegetable of the country, also faces similar problem where actual yields are far below the potential yield. This study was attempted to analyze the yield and technological gap in potato production in Bihar. Data was collected from 90 farmers of Vaishali and Saran districts of Bihar using a structured interview schedule. The results revealed that the overall yield gap of 43.4 per cent existed in potato production in sampled area, which was largely due to the wide scale adoption of a local red skinned potato variety, Bhura aloo. The yield gap was maximum for marginal farmers (48.57%) followed by small farmers. Intensity of adoption was highest for this local variety i.e. Bhura aloo (33.01%) followed by Kufri Sindhuri (27.7%), Kufri Pukhraj (12.64%), Kufri Jyoti (6.83%) and Lal Gulab (5.53%). Large technological gap was observed with respect to the use of recommended dose of NPK fertilizers and pesticides by the farmers. Overall gap in input use per unit area was highest in case of potassium fertilizer (35.4%) followed by nitrogenous fertilizers (27.6%). This yield and technological gaps can be bridged by motivating and supporting farmers to adopt high yielding improved varieties and provision of effective extension services to enable farmers to use recommended level of fertilizers and pesticides

The implementation projects of e-business systems are strategic and complex projects. They require substantial resources, and yet, the success is not guaranteed. Organizations must try to minimize risks by focusing on critical success factors (CSFs) of e-business implementation.We have researched different viewpoints of e-business implementation CSFs. The paper presents an overview of some of existing e-business implementation business models and analyses research about e-business implementation CSFs. Identified CSFs are discussed and linked to the e-business implementation process. Tovrstni projekti zahtevajo precejšnje resurse, pa vendar njihova uspešnost ni zagotovljena. Organizacije morajo minimizirati tveganja s tem, da se osredotočijo na kritične dejavnike uspeha uvajanja e-poslovanja. V prispevku smo raziskali različne vidike kritičnih dejavnikov uspeha uvajanja e-poslovanja. Predstavljamo pregled nekaterih modelov uvajanja e-poslovanja in raziskav s področja kritičnih dejavnikov uspeha uvajanja e-poslovanja. Prepoznani kritični dejavniki uspeha so predstavljeni, opisane pa so tudi povezave dejavnikov s procesom uvajanja e-poslovanja.
