Computational Simulation of Comb-plate Expansion Joints

    Get PDF
A finite element model of the expansion Joints’ common damages of a novel comb-plate by using the finite element software ABAQUS is presented in this paper. The mechanical behavior of expansion Joints is analyzed to verify the weak parts of it. The research results provide a reference for the design of the comb-plate expansion Joints

Electrodynamic Response and Stability of Molecular Crystals

We show that electrodynamic dipolar interactions, responsible for long-range fluctuations in matter, play a significant role in the stability of molecular crystals. Density functional theory calculations with van der Waals interactions determined from a semilocal "atom-in-a-molecule" model result in a large overestimation of the dielectric constants and sublimation enthalpies for polyacene crystals from naphthalene to pentacene, whereas an accurate treatment of non-local electrodynamic response leads to an agreement with the measured values for both quantities. Our findings suggest that collective response effects play a substantial role not only for optical excitations, but also for cohesive properties of non-covalently bound molecular crystals

Interior sound quality evaluation model of heavy commercial vehicles

    Get PDF
Based on back-propagation (BP) artificial neural network (ANN) technique, interior sound quality evaluation model of heavy commercial vehicles(HCV) was designed in this paper. According to the standard named GB/T18697-2002, firstly, the interior noises of five different types of HCV under different working conditions were measured and collected. Secondly, the subjective evaluation of sound quality was estimated by jury tests following the magnitude estimation. Meanwhile, seven objective psycho-acoustical parameters of these samples were calculated. Using the objective and subjective evaluation results, furthermore, the sound quality prediction model of HCV was developed based on BP ANN. Thirdly, this model was proved by some verification tests. The results suggest that the proposed model has ability of high precision and good generalization. And lastly, the sound quality prediction model of HCV could be used to determine the impact weight of measuring objective evaluation parameters contributing to the results of subjective evaluation. The results played a significant guiding role in both HCV and other areas for sound quality evaluation and analysis

Bright 22 μ\mum Excess Candidates from WISE All-Sky Catalog and Hipparcos Main Catalog

In this paper we present a catalog which includes 141 bright candidates (10.27\leq10.27 mag, V band) showing the infrared (IR) excess at 22 μ\mum. Of which, 38 stars are known IR excess stars or disk, 23 stars are double or multiple stars and 4 are Be stars. While the remaining more than 70 stars are identified as the 22 μ\mum excess candidates in our work. The criterion of selecting candidates is Ks[22]μmK_s-[22]_{\mu m}. All these candidates are selected from \emph{WISE} All-sky data cross-correlated with \emph{Hipparcos} Main Catalog and the likelihood-ratio technique is employed. Considering the effect of background, we introduce the \emph{IRAS} 100 μ\mum level to exclude the high background. We also estimated the coincidence probability of these sources. In addition, we presented the optical to mid-infrared SEDs and optical images of all the candidates, and gave the observed optical spectra of 6 stars with NAOC's 2.16-m telescope. To measure for the dust amount around each star, the fractional luminosity is also provided. We also test whether our method of selecting IR excess stars can be used to search for extra-solar planets, we cross-matched our catalog with known IR-excess stars having planets but none is matched. Finally, we give the fraction of stars showing IR-excess for different spectral type of main-sequence stars.Comment: 45 pages, 16 figures, 4 tables. Accepted for publication in ApJ

Study on coalface stray current safety early warning based on ANFIS

AbstractBy analyzing the DC traction supply system in coal mine, we confirmed the following four parameters to be the characteristic parameters of workface stray current safe early warning, that is, the leakage current of contacting line, resistance of insulating splint, the distance between workface and subtraction substation and the stray voltage of contacting line. After that, we developed a safety early warning model of coal mining workface stray current danger grade with ANFIS as its core, choosing data sets measured online to do the training and early warning of safe early warning model. Results indicate that the model can be able to complete safety early warning of workface stray current. Besides, a monitoring and early warning system of stray current was introduced

    Poly[diaquabis(μ-4-carboxy-2-propyl-1H-imidazole-5-carboxylato-κ3 N 3,O 4:O 5)calcium(II)]

In the title complex, [Ca(C8H9N2O4)2(H2O)2]n, the CaII atom is eight-coordinated in a distorted square-antiprismatic environment. The water-coordinated Ca atom is N,O-chelated by the monocarboxylate anion; the carboxyl –CO2 portion engaged in chelation bears an acid hydrogen. The free –CO2 portion engages in bonding to adjacent Ca atoms. The CaII centres are connected through the ligand, forming a layer structure; the layers are linked by hydrogen bonds into a three-dimensional network
